The meet will take place on Sunday, Feb. 25 in Pauley Pavilion and will be televised live at 3pm on the Pac-12 Network, with Jim Watson and Samantha Peszek calling the action. FAN ADVISORY Sunday s meet will begin at 3pm, with the fi rst vault scheduled for 3:06 pm. Doors open at 2:00pm, and pre-meet festivities begin at 2:40pm. Pauley Pavilion has a clear bag policy. One large clear bag, either a one gallon Ziploc style bag or a 12 by 6 by 12 clear bag, or a small clutch may be allowed into the arena. TICKETS/PROMOTIONS Tickets for UCLA home meets are on sale now at the UCLA Central Ticket Offi ce and at Ticketmaster. UCLA students are free with ID and eligible to win a raffl e prize each home meet. This week s prize is a 360 camera. Sunday s meet is a green meet, as the Bruins will celebrate the environment and sustainability. $2 tickets are available online through Ticketmaster using the promo code GREEN. The fi rst 1,000 fans at the meet will receive a UCLA Gymnastics reusable water bottle. Additionally, Together We Rise teal wristbands and team posters will be distributed to the fi rst 500 fans at the North Doors. BRUINS STAY IN TOP 3 With LSU scoring a pair of 198s last weekend, the Bruins dropped one spot to No. 3 in the national rankings with a season average of UCLA has scored 197+ in each of the last six meets and holds a season-high of , set against No. 1 Oklahoma on Feb. 4. The Bruins are Top 5 on every event - fi rst on beam, third on bars, fourth on fl oor, and fi fth on vault. Beginning next week, rankings will be based on Regional Qualifying Score (RQS), which takes teams Top 6 scores, three of which must be on the road, throwing out the high and averaging the remaining fi ve. BEAM QUEENS UCLA moved into fi rst in the national rankings on balance beam, averaging The Bruins have three gymnasts ranked in the Top 10 - No. 2 Christine Peng-Peng Lee (9.917), No. 4 Katelyn Ohashi (9.904) and No. 9 Kyla Ross (9.885). All six gymnasts who have been regulars in the beam lineup have scored at least 9.9 this year. Brielle Nguyen has a career-best of 9.9 in the leadoff position. Madison Kocian has a season-high of and career-high of Grace Glenn has scored 9.95 twice this year. Ohashi has scored two perfect 10s in her career and has a season-high of Ross also has two career perfect 10s and a season-best of 9.975, and Lee has scored three beam 10s, including two this year. FLOORS UP UCLA s highest season average on any one event is , on fl oor exercise. The Bruins have scored 49.4 or higher in four meets, with a high of set Feb. 4 vs. Oklahoma. That mark was the fi fth-highest fl oor score in school history and the highest since the Bruins scored on Mar. 7, UCLA has four gymnasts ranked in the Top 25 nationally - No. 5 Felicia Hano (9.925), No. 13 Napualani Hall (9.9), No. 19 Katelyn Ohashi (9.888) and No. 22 Kyla Ross (9.885). UCLA tumbling on fl oor has been impressive, with Gracie Kramer doing a front double full-punch front, Ross starting with a whip-double back, Hall a 1.5 through to a double back, Hano and Ohashi starting with double layouts, Nia Dennis with a double Arabian and Pauline Tratz with a full-in. OHASHI NAMED PAC-12 SPECIALIST OF WEEK Junior Katelyn Ohashi became the fi fth Bruin to win Pac-12 Specialist of the Week honors this season after scoring 9.9 or better on all three events she competed last week, including a to tie for fi rst place on fl oor exercise. Ohashi also tied for fi rst on balance beam with a and tied her season-high on uneven bars with a secondplace score of 9.9. The Specialist of the Week award was her fi rst this year and third in her career. UCLA has won vs. 9-2 (3-2 in Pac-12) 4-2 (3-2 in Pac-12) All-Time Series: UCLA leads, UCLA and Oregon State split the season series last year, with the Bruins winning in Corvallis and the Beavers outscoring the Bruins at the Pac-12 Championships.

FOLLOW THE LEADOFF Freshman Nia Dennis put the lead in leadoff against Utah Feb. 18, starting the Bruins out on both vault and uneven bars with meet-winning scores of 9.95 and 9.925, respectively. Dennis kicked off the meet with a perfect score on her Yurchenko layout full vault, which has a start value of 9.95, helping the Bruins take the fi rst rotation lead with a On uneven bars in rotation two, she led off with a career-high to take fi rst place and lead UCLA to a team score of The event wins were the fi rst of her career. PERFECT 10 NOTES The three 10s scored by the Bruins Christine Peng-Peng Lee (beam), Felicia Hano (fl oor) and Katelyn Ohashi (fl oor) on Feb. 4 were the most in a single meet since three were scored on Mar. 7, 2004 by Jeanette Antolin (vault and fl oor) and Yvonne Tousek (bars) Hano and Ohashi became the fi rst pair of Bruins to score back-to-back 10s on fl oor since Kate Richardson and Antolin on Feb. 22, 2004 The six 10s were the most in Pauley Pavilion since there were eight scored by fi ve gymnasts at the 2002 UCLA Invitational, including three by UCLA s Jamie Dantzscher Lee scored her second consecutive perfect 10 on beam, joining Ohashi as the only Bruins ever to record perfect 10s on beam in consecutive meets Lee has three perfect 10s on beam in her career, one off the school record of four set by Richardson Lee s fi ve overall perfect 10s is tied for sixth-most in school history Ohashi is just the fourth Bruin ever to score a perfect 10 on both beam and fl oor, joining Kristen Maloney, Mohini Bhardwaj and Richardson. HONORING A LEGACY Felicia Hano s fl oor exercise routine this season is a legacy routine originally performed by All-American Sydney Sawa in 2014 and passed down to Hano. Sawa scored a perfect 10 on that routine on Feb. 22, 2014 and was, in fact, the last UCLA gymnast to score a perfect 10 on fl oor until Hano did it with the same routine on Feb. 4, SEEING DOUBLE Identical twins Anna and Grace Glenn competed in a meet together for the fi rst time as Bruins on Feb. 10 at Cal. Anna made her collegiate competitive debut on vault, scoring 9.8. Grace, who has competed on beam in every meet this year, tied for fi rst place on beam with a career-high-tying 9.95 to capture her second beam victory of the season. Both competed again on Feb. 18 against Utah, with Anna scoring 9.8s on vault and on exhibition bars and beam performances and Grace scoring on beam. The twins sat out all of last season with torn labrums, which were injured on the same skill in preseason. KOCIAN MAKES QUICK RETURN Two-time Olympic medalist and three-time World champion Madison Kocian is making her way back to the 2017 form that saw her earn four All-America honors. Kocian, who returned to competition on Jan. 20 after undergoing shoulder surgery in August, has competed in the last fi ve meets on balance beam and scored 9.9 or higher the past two meets, with a season-high at Cal on Feb. 10. Kocian had an impressive freshman campaign despite competing with a torn labrum that she suffered at the 2016 Olympic Trials. She competed in the all-around in all but two meets in 2017 and amassed a total of 16 individual victories, including the NCAA Regional bars and fl oor titles. KONDOS FIELD EARNS CAREER WIN 500 UCLA head coach Valorie Kondos Field surpassed 500 career coaching victories with the Bruins win at Metroplex Jan. 27. The Pac-12 Gymnastics Coach of the Century now holds a career coaching record of (.806) in 28 years as UCLA s head coach. Kondos Field has won six NCAA Championships and four national coach of the year honors, and in 2010, she became the second active coach ever to be inducted into the UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame. FRESH FACES UCLA s newcomers have been strong this season. Nia Dennis has averaged in the all-around, with a high of set Feb. 10 at Cal, where she also recorded career-highs on bars (9.9) and beam (9.875). She had a standout meet on Feb. 18 against Utah, scoring career-highs of 9.95 on vault and on bars to win her fi rst two career events. Competing on two events in every meet, Pauline Tratz averages on vault and on fl oor and has career-highs of on each event. Redshirt freshman Grace Glenn has competed on beam in each meet, averaging 9.843, and won Pac-12 Specialist of the Week honors after scoring a career-high 9.95 at Arizona. Junior transfer Brielle Nguyen tied for second on beam with a leadoff routine at Elevate the Stage in her UCLA competitive debut and tied her career-high with a 9.9 vs. Oklahoma. Savannah Kooyman made her competitive debut at the Metroplex Challenge and contributed a clutch as the anchor on bars. Kooyman competed in two events at Cal, scoring a career-high on bars and in her fl oor debut. Anna Glenn also made her UCLA competitive debut at Cal, scoring 9.8 on vault. ROLLING IN THE DEEP UCLA continues to showcase its depth, competing 14 gymnasts against Utah and at Metroplex and a season-high 15 in the win at Cal. A total of 17 Bruins performed at Cal, with Mercedez Sanchez and Kendal Poston performing exhibition routines. At Arizona, 13 Bruins competed, with six different gymnasts taking home individual titles (Katelyn Ohashi in the all-around with a career-high and on beam with a 9.95; Felicia Hano on vault and fl oor with 9.9s; Kyla Ross on bars with a 9.925, Grace Glenn and Christine Peng-Peng Lee tying for fi rst with Ohashi on beam, and Pauline Tratz tying Hano for fi rst on fl oor). FOURTEEN ON DIRECTOR S HONOR ROLL A total of 14 Bruin gymnasts made the UCLA Director s Honor Roll for Fall Six had 3.5 or higher GPAs for the quarter - Madison Kocian, Gracie Kramer, Christine Peng-Peng Lee, Sonya Meraz, Kendal Poston and Pauline Tratz. The other eight had GPAs between 3.0 and Napualani Hall, Felicia Hano, JaNay Honest, Rebecca Karlous, Giulianna Pino, Mercedez Sanchez, Macy Toronjo and Lilia Waller. ABOUT THE BRUINS UCLA returns 13 competitors from last year s fourth-place NCAA Championship squad, including 2017 NCAA bars and beam champion Kyla Ross and All-Americans Madison Kocian, Christine Peng-Peng Lee, Katelyn Ohashi and Felicia Hano. Lee was named the 2017 West Region Gymnast of the Year and Pac-12 Specialist of the Year, while Ross earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Year honors. The Bruins lose high-scoring routines from Madison Preston (vault), Mikaela Gerber (beam), Angi Cipra (fl oor) and Hallie Mossett (beam and fl oor) but bring in national team freshmen Nia Dennis (U.S.) and Pauline Tratz (Germany) and return the services of Anna and Grace Glenn, who redshirted in UCLA also retains all four gymnasts who scored perfect 10s last season - Ross (four), Lee (three), Ohashi (two) and Kocian (one). UCLA is coached by Pac-12 Gymnastics Coach of the Century Valorie Kondos Field, Associate Head Coaches Chris Waller and Randy Lane, and volunteer coach and 2012 Olympic gold medalist Jordyn Wieber. BRUINS SIGN FRAZIER, WRIGHT FOR 2019 SEASON U.S. National Team member Margzetta Frazier (Erial, N.J.) and Level 10 vault champion Sekai Wright (Paramount, Calif.) signed national letters of intent with UCLA in November and will join the Bruin squad in Frazier, who trains at Parkettes, is a rising star coming off a fi fth-place national all-around fi nish at the P&G Championships in August. Her Top 6 all-around fi nish placed her on the U.S. National Team for the fi rst time in her career. Wright, who trains at American Gymnastics Academy, is a two-time Level 10 National vault champion, winning the Junior E division in 2016 and the Junior B division in She also won the Region 1 vault title and the State all-around, vault, and fl oor titles in 2017 and the Region 1 vault and State beam titles in NO. 1 IN SOCIAL MEDIA FOLLOWERS UCLA Gymnastics has the largest social media followings in all of women s collegiate sports, ranking No. 1 across all women s sports in combined followers on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, a total over 350,000. The Bruins rank fi rst among all NCAA gymnastics teams on both Instagram (182k) and Facebook (153k) and third on Twitter (23.5k). Among all UCLA teams, gymnastics ranks fi rst on Instagram and Facebook, and UCLA Gymnastics is the most followed collegiate women s team Instagram account in the nation. INTERNATIONAL COMPETITORS UCLA s roster is fi lled with international competitors, led by Olympic gold medalists Madison Kocian and Kyla Ross. Kocian is a three-time World Champion, having won a share of the uneven bars title in 2015 and team titles in 2014 and Ross was also part of the 2014 World Championship team and won a total of four individual medals in 2013 and Stella Savvidou, Giulianna Pino and Pauline Tratz competed at the 2015 Worlds along with Kocian, with Savvidou representing Cyprus, Pino representing Ecuador and Tratz competing for Germany. Christine Peng-Peng Lee competed at the 2011 World Championships for Canada. Katelyn Ohashi has American Cup (2013) and Pacifi c Rim Championship (2012 juniors) all-around championship titles to her credit. The 2012 Pacifi c Rim Championship podium had a decidedly UCLA-fl avor to it, as Jordyn Wieber, Ross and Lee went in the senior competition, and Ohashi won the all-around, bars, beam and fl oor titles in the junior competition. Nia Dennis and Ross both competed at the 2014 Pacifi c Rim Championship, with Dennis winning team gold and all-around and vault silver in the junior competition and Ross winning beam and team gold and all-around silver in the senior division. Last Meet - vs. Utah (Feb. 18) Out-of-bounds deductions on fl oor exercise in the fi nal rotation cost No. 2 UCLA in a dual meet loss to No. 3 Utah. Strong leadoff performances gave UCLA the edge in the fi rst half of the meet, as Nia Dennis posted career-high numbers to start on both vault and fl oor, but Utah pulled even after the third rotation.
