In the 12 losses, Lehigh shot just 31.3 percent from downtown with 5.9 threes per contest. MANN STEPPING UP Second team All-Patriot League sophomore Quinci Mann has been hot as of late, scoring double-figure points in 18 of Lehigh s last 22 games, including a career-high 24 points against Boston University on Jan. 30. The Oakland, Calif. native has averaged 14.6 points per game, shot 40.6 percent (114-for-281) from the field, 47.4 percent (46-for-97) from three-point range and 85.7 percent (48-for-56) from the free-throw line over the last 22 games. Through the first seven games of the season, Mann was held to 9.3 points per game and a 31.9 (22-for-69) field goal percentage. Her season-long average currently stands at 13.3 points per game and she has drained a team-best 54 three-pointers. MOVING UP THE CHARTS Last season, current senior Kerry Kinek became Lehigh s sixth-ever member of the 1,000 point/500 rebound club. This season, Kinek continues to improve her career marks in both points and rebounds as she moves up in the Lehigh record books. Kinek recently moved up to fifth all-time in scoring with 1,546 points. Kinek also recently moved into the No. 2 spot on Lehigh s all-time rebounding leaders list with 948 career rebounds. She was named third team All-Patriot League at the conclusion of the regular season, making her just the second-ever Mountain Hawk and sixth-ever Patriot League player to earn All-League honors during all four years of her career. NON-LEAGUE WRAP UP The Mountain Hawks finished non-league play with a 7-4 record. Lehigh started the season 6-0 before a loss to Villanova was the first of a four-game skid that also saw the Mountain Hawks drop games against Saint Joseph s, Illinois and Rider. Lehigh bounced back nicely in with a road win at Hampton in the Mountain Hawks final non-league game of the season on Dec. 20. Lehigh was predicted to finish third in the Patriot League this season. 20-PLUS The Mountain Hawks had at least two players score 20-plus points in three of Lehigh s games this season. Lehigh was led by senior Kerry Kinek, junior Lexi Martins and sophomore Quinci Mann with 21 points apiece against Monmouth. Kinek scored 21 while Martins chipped in 20 against Kutztown. Martins tallied 23 while Kinek chipped in 22 against Saint Peter s. GIVING BACK Lehigh spent some time around the holidays giving back to the local Bethlehem community. On Friday Dec. 18, the Mountain Hawks paid a visit to the pediatric wing of local St. Luke s Hospital where Lehigh took time to visit with the patients, spread holiday cheer and pass out basketballs and posters. The team also participated in the Lehigh Athletics Adopt-A-Family initiative in which in which the Mountain Hawks fundraise and collect donations to purchase Christmas gifts for a local underprivileged family. CALIFORNIA GIRLS Lehigh has two players on its roster from California in sophomore Quinci Mann (Oakland, Calif.) and freshman Hailey Pascoe (Concord, Calif.). The two Mountain Hawks hometowns are located just about 20 miles from each other and they spent time together on the same AAU team. Both Mann and Pascoe played for Keely Sopak s Cal Stars AAU program and were key contributors on the team that finished second overall at Nike Nationals, which is widely regarded as the most prestigious AAU Tournament held each summer. NEW VOICE OF STABLER ARENA Long-time Lehigh Athletics public address announcer Bill Mc- Coach announced his retirement at the end of the school year after 27 years behind the microphone of nearly every Lehigh sporting event. Matt Kerr will be taking over as the PA voice of Lehigh men s and women s basketball. Kerr is currently the playby-play announcer for Lehigh football radio broadcasts and was the former radio voice of Lehigh men s basketball.
