With the exception of the contests on CBS Sports Network, all home games both in non-league and Patriot League play will feature free live streaming on PLN. Today s Scholar-Athletes, Tomorrow s Leaders The Patriot League continually demonstrates that student-athletes can excel at both academics and athletics without sacrificing its high standards. The Patriot League s athletic success is achieved while its member institutions remain committed to its founding principle of admitting and graduating student-athletes that are academically representative of their class. Patriot League Quarterfinals Start Monday Final Standings as of Patriot League Patriot League Twitter Notebook * #7 American defeated #10 Boston University in the first round to advance to the quarterfinals and will play at #2 Bucknell on Monday at 7 p.m. * #8 Colgate completed a three-game season sweep of #9 Lafayette with an first round victory; the Raiders advance to the quarterfinals and play at #1 Army West Point at 7:30 p.m. * The tournament quarterfinals and semifinals will be shown on the Patriot League Network. * Lafayette senior Jamie O Hare dished out 15 assists to set a Patriot League Tournament first round record; while junior Maia Hood set a Patriot League Tournament first round record for points scored with 27 points. * American senior Ari Booth set a career-high 23 points, while sophomore Maria Liddane set a career-high 19 points. * Lehigh junior Lexi Martins was named the Corvias Patriot League Women s Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year. * The tournament championship game will air Saturday, March 12 on CBS Sports Network. Patriot League Notebook 2016 Patriot League Tournament The 2016 Patriot League Tournament continues with the quarterfinals on Monday, March 7. Advancing out of Saturday s first round was # 7 American and #8 Colgate. The Eagles defeated #10 Boston University at home 61-53, while the Raiders took down #9 Lafayette for a third time this season, winning at home. AU heads to #2 Bucknell on Monday for a 7 p.m. tipoff in Sojka, while Colgate will once again meet familiar tournament foe #1 Army West Point. The game at Christl Arena is set for 7:30 p.m. Additionally, #5 Holy Cross will play at #4 Lehigh, and #6 Navy will take on #3 Loyola Maryland in Baltimore. Both games begin at 7 p.m. All four games can be seen on the Patriot League Network. The winners of the quarterfinals will then advance to the semis on Friday, March 11, which also can be seen on PLN. The championship will be the next day, Saturday, March 12 and will begin at 6 p.m. The highest remaining seed after the quarterfinals will host the semis and championship game. Quarterfinal Matchup: #7 American at #2 Bucknell Sojka Pavilion; Lewisburg, Pa./Patriot League Network - Monday 7 p.m. Monday marks the 38th meeting in the all-time series between American and Bucknell. The Eagles lead the series American and Bucknell have met twice in the Patriot League Tournament -- the Bison won in 2008 and again in Bucknell is 6-12 all-time against American at home. In the two-game series this year the Bison swept the Eagles, marking the first time since The game at Sojka Pavilion went to overtime, with the Bucknell prevailing, Whichever team advances to the semifinals of the Patriot League Tournament will play the winner of thirdseeded Loyola Maryland and sixth-seeded Navy contest. Patriot League Tournament - Quarterfinals Quarterfinal Matchup: #5 Holy Cross at #4 Lehigh Stabler Arena; Bethlehem, Pa./Patriot League Network - Monday 7 p.m. Monday marks the 63rd meeting between Holy Cross and Lehigh. The Crusaders lead the all-time series, This season, the pair split the series: Lehigh captured a victory at home on Jan. 17; Holy Cross won in overtime on Feb. 13 at home. Monday s game will be a rematch of the 2015 Patriot League Tournament quarterfinals -- the #6 Mountain Hawks defeated #3 Crusaders in Worcester on March 6, Lehigh has won 15 of the last 19 contests between the two teams, dating back to The winner will advance to the semifinals and play the winner of the #1/#8 contest. The Mountain Hawks had four players earn end of the season All-League honors: junior Lexi Martins was a first team selection, sophomore Quinci Mann was a second team selections, senior Kerry Kinek was a third team selection, and freshman Hailey Pascoe was an All-Rookie selection. Holy Cross senior Lisa Mifsud and sophomore Infiniti Thomas-Waheed were both named second team All- League; Thomas-Waheed was also named to the All-Defensive Team. Quarterfinal Matchup: #6 Navy at #3 Loyola Maryland Reitz Arena; Baltimore, Md./Patriot League Network - Monday 7 p.m. Loyola Maryland and Navy will meet for the 23rd time when the two teams take the court Monday. The Midshipmen lead the series, 16-6, including a 4-2 advantage in Patriot League play. The Greyhounds will host their first-ever Patriot League Tournament contest Monday night, hosting Navy for the quarterfinal round at 7 p.m. This is the first meeting between the two teams postseason. Navy also holds a slight edge for games played in Baltimore, 6-4. For the past two seasons, Loyola and Navy have split the series, with the home team winning each respective game. Most recently, Loyola defeated Holy Cross, 58-45, on Senior Night to earn the third seed in the tournament. This year marks the first year since that the Greyhounds have secured a quarterfinal game, and the first time since that they have finished among the top-3 seeds. Loyola is 7-6 as the No. 3 seed in conference championships, while going 12-6 all-time in the quarterfinal round. Navy junior Justice Swett was named the League s inaugural Defensive Player of the Year and was a unanimous vote to the All-Defensive Team. Loyola senior Colleen Marshall was a unanimous selection to the first team and was also named to the All- Defensive Team. Classmate Jeneh Perry was named to the third team. Quarterfinal Matchup: #8 Colgate at #1 Army West point Christl Arena; West Point, N.Y./Patriot League Network - Monday 7:30 p.m. Army West Point and Colgate are tied at 3-3 in Patriot League Tournament meetings. The Raiders have a 3-2 edge in quarterfinal matchups. The Greyhounds will host their first-ever Patriot League Tournament contest Monday night, hosting Navy for the quarterfinal round at 7 p.m. This is the first meeting between the two teams postseason. Colgate earned an home win over No. 9 Lafayette in the first round of the Patriot League Tournament on March 5 to advance to the quarterfinal. Colgate senior Josie Stockill earned second team All-League and was also an All-Defensive Team selection. 1,000 Point Club Adds Five this Season Lehigh junior Lexi Martins became the newest member of the 1,000 Point Club, reaching the milestone at Stabler Arena on Saturday, Feb. 27 against Army West Point. Martins is the fifth player across the League to accomplish the feat this season and is the 98th in Patriot League women s basketball history. She joins Colgate senior Josie Stockill, Bucknell junior Claire DeBoer, Holy Cross senior Lisa Mifsud, Lafayette senior Jamie O Hare, Holy Cross senior Raquel Scott, and Lehigh senior Kerry Kinek as active 1,000 point scorers. Army s Kelsey Minato Becomes Patriot League All-Time Leading Scorer Needing just 18 points to break 2003 Bucknell graduate Molly Creamer s record of 2,642 career points, Army West Point senior All-America candidate drained a three-pointer with 8:58 on the clock in the third quarter of the regular-season finale at Boston University on Wednesday to bring her career total to 2,465 and surpass the 13-year old record. The senior captain finished the game with 32 points, hitting 7-of-13 from beyond the arc, for a current career total of 2,477.

The Huntington Beach, Calif., native is putting the final touches on her stellar career at West Point, first by breaking the program s scoring record. She then became the first women s player in school history to reach the 2,000-point threshold and later surpassed the Academy s all-time scoring record -- previously held by Kevin Houston ( ) of 2,325 points. Most recently, she became the first active player in team history to have her jersey retired and became the Patriot League s all-time leading scorer in the team s regular-season finale, passing Bucknell s Molly Creamer s record of 2,462 points. Minato won Lids Teams Sports Player of the Week seven times this season, setting a League record, which brings her career total to also a League record. Currently, she is sixth in the nation averaging 23.7 points per game. Minato is also fifth among NCAA DI players, averaging point field goals per game, and is second with a point field goal percentage. She s played a critical role in helping the Black Knights to a program best 26 wins, 17-1 League record, and #1 seed in the Patriot League Tournament. Defensive Player of the Year JUSTICE SWETT, NAVY Jr., 5-8, G Swett leads the Midshipmen with 66 of the team s League-leading 275 steals and garners her first end-of-the-season honors. Originally on the Navy lacrosse team for the 2014 season, the Nashville, Tenn., native joined the women s basketball team for the season and finished leading the team in offensive rebounds (83), total rebounds (176), rebounding average (5.9), steals (55), and steals per game (1.85). She currently leads the team with 80 offensive rebounds, is second on the team in rebounds (151), and is tied as the team-leader in rebound average (5.2). Coach of the Year AARON ROUSSELL, BUCKNELL Roussell has taken an injured ridden team and guided them to a program-best 17-1 Patriot League record. The Bison are 23-6 overall, which is also a program record for most wins in a season. Bucknell clinched a share of the Patriot League women s basketball regular season title with a win over Lafayette in the regular-season finale. It s the first regular season championship for the Bison since they won the League outright in Rookie of the Year KAITLYN SLAGUS, BUCKNELL Fr., 6-2, F A unanimous selection for the Patriot League All-Rookie team, Slagus has produced for the Bison all season and collected five Lids Team Sports Rookie of the Week awards. The Belle Vernon, Pa., native also earned Player of the Week honors on Jan. 4, after scoring 21 points in back-to-back games against Navy and Army West Point. She is now the third straight-bucknell player to receive Rookie of the Year, joining teammates Klotz and DeBoer. The Bison are the second team to earn award in three consecutive seasons. Slagus in third on the team in scoring, averaging 7.9 points per game and has a total of 228 so far in her freshman campaign. Scholar-Athlete of the Year LEXI MARTINS, LEHIGH Jr., 6-0, F Martins is a Political Science major and boasts a 3.62 grade-point average. A two-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll member, the junior was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District II Team earlier this season and is currently on track to graduate a year early. Martins plans to pursue a Master s degree next year. An Irvington, N.Y. native, Martins is the first Mountain Hawk to earn Scholar Athlete of the Year in women s basketball since Anne Tierney earned the honor in back-to-back seasons as a sophomore and junior ( ). Martins was recently named first team All-Patriot League, earning her second end of the year recognition after being named to the second team during her sophomore campaign. Helping Lehigh to a fourth seed in the Patriot League Tournament, Martins ranks among the nation s best, leading all NCAA Division I players with 13.8 rebounds per game. She is also tied for second in the nation with 23 double-doubles.
