1 17 th Annual Vermont Hoopsters Invitational 2018 April 14 th - 15 th, 2018 Coaches Thank you for your entry into our tournament. Enclosed you will find the tournament schedule for this upcoming weekend. I had many scheduling requests this year which made timing difficult in some cases; I did the best I could to adhere to everyone s requests. There will be no changes unless I made a mistake on my end. If you had coaches who coach multiple teams, unfortunately I could not accommodate the request for separate game times. Also included with the schedule are addresses to all gym sites, tournament rules and a list of local restaurants in the area to enjoy in between games. If your team decides to stay overnight at all, the Sunset Motor Inn in Morrisville is offering a discount off your stay; just mention you are with the Hoopster Tournament. Please read the tournament rules. There will be admission fee for all spectators. Players, two coaches and one scorekeeper have free entry. As a reminder, there will be no athletic trainer on site. Please bring your own medical supplies and your own basketballs. First team listed is the home team and must do the book; away team provides the basketball for the game. Concessions will be served at Lamoille, and minimal concessions will be served at other locations. 5 GYM LOCATIONS - Lamoille Union Middle and High School (LUHS/LUMS) 736 VT Route 15 West, Hyde Park VT Please park in the high school parking lot. The entrance that will be used will be the old entrance of the school near the flag pole by the auditorium at the front of the building. NO PARKING ALONG THE SIDEWALK IN CASE OF EMERGENCY!!! - Cambridge Elementary School (CES) 186 School Road, Jeffersonville VT Parking in front of the school, entrance is across from the soccer/baseball fields. - Cambridge Community Center (CCC 1 and CCC 2) 22 Old Main Street, Jeffersonville VT Parking in front and behind the building. Cambridge Community Center has been restored from formally Windbridge Tennis Center. The inside has been completely renovated with two full size basketball courts. The Directors are asking that NO outside shoes be on the floors at any time. Also, seating may be limited, so feel free to bring your own folding/camping chair if desired! - Hazen Union High School (HAZEN) 126 Hazen Union Drive, Hardwick VT Parking will be located to the right as you enter the school parking lot. - Hardwick Elementary School (HARDWICK) 135 South Main Street, Hardwick VT The Main Street doors will be open and there is a door on the driveway side for handicap accessibility.

8 TOURNAMENT RULES 14 MINUTE HALVES FOR GRADES 5/6; 16 MINUTE HALVES FOR GRADES MINUTE WARM UP (FIRST GAME OF THE DAY 10 MINUTES) 5 MINUTE HALF TIME 10 FOULS = 2 SHOTS TWO, 30 SECOND TIME OUTS PER HALF; DO NOT CARRY OVER INTO NEXT HALF OR INTO OVERTIME ONE, 30 SECOND TIMEOUT IN OVERTIME OVERTIME: 3 MINUTES, THEN 1 MINUTE THEN SUDDEN DEATH TEAMS LISTED FIRST IS THE HOME TEAM, MUST WEAR WHITES AND MUST BE HOME BOOK. SECOND TEAM LISTED IS AWAY TEAM AND MUST PROVIDE GAME BALL MERCY RULE: CANNOT PRESS IF UP BY 20; RUNNING CLOCK UNTIL TEAM IS WITHIN 10 POINTS PLEASE BE AT YOUR GAME AT LEAST 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO START TIME PLEASE RESPECT THE HOSTS AND KEEP THE GYMS CLEAN LET THE COACHES COACH, PLAYERS PLAY AND OFFICIALS OFFICIATE.
