(Just because a team travels 10 hours to a tournament does not mean ey will have a good competitive experience.) Upon review of e competitive events in our area, we have created a schedule at we are confident will provide our players and families a first class experience. The OSA Crusaders 5-8 grade National teams will compete in e Hawood Alliance is summer, which, now in its second year, is co-hosted by e Iowa Barnstormers, Kingdom Hoops, and OSA, and has already garnered commitments from many of e top programs, providing e highest level of competition for our teams. 5 Practices: OSA Staff is always learning cutting edge trends and is not afraid to educate emselves on a continued basis. In past years, OSA professional staff members have attended e Thunder, Spurs, and Cavs training camps, have been guests at e highly prestigious College Point Gua Camp (PGC), Metro Basketball Coach Aletics, and collegiate and high school practices around town. The objective is for our players to be consistently exposed to e newest ideas and current trends in you basketball, allowing us to incorporate ese trends into our highly successful core fundamental and schematic training. You can count on OSA practices to be crisp, professionally run, and fun for your child! Practice time will focus on skill development as well as offensive and defensive team concepts. Players will be pushed bo physically and mentally, yet still have fun each time ey attend. Our unique practice format allows for each player to focus on five key areas at each practice: scoring, defensive principles, transition, fast break/ball handling, and offensive team principles. At all practices, one of our professional staff will be directly involved and hands-on wi your child s team. This allows us to teach a progressive skill set and schemes to everyone in e program. Practice Schedules: Typically, U15-U17 Boys Practices will be held on Sunday OSA Crusader Formula for afternoons/evenings and Tuesday or Wednesday evenings in April and May. Development of Impact Players 4 8 Grade Boys Practices will typically be held on Satuay mornings of non competition weekends and Wednesday evenings in April and May. We recognize at high school programs typically hold eir camps, clinics and summer leagues in June. As a result, we will not hold U14 U17 team practices in June to allow players to participate wi eir high school teams. All U14 U17 boys teams will practice daily SKILLS TEAM June 25 ru 29. Players are still encouraged to attend e Mon/Thurs Skills ACADEMY PRACTICE Academies. Complete schedules will include June and July practices, and will be handed out at e Parent/Player Meetings. Summer Select Skills Academy: These academies serve as a great compliment to COMPETITION team practices and e tournaments we play. While competition and regular team practices are very important, our Summer Select Skills Academies are what put our players over e top, wi an emphasis on developing impact players from an individual skills standpoint. Specific focuses include: High Level Skill Instruction & Repetition Ball Handling Shooting One on One Moves Decision Making Specific Moves Intense Transition I coached my boys against OSA teams as ey were growing up, and I always admired eir talented kids, well coached teams and top notch facilities. My oldest son wanted to play basketball in college and after looking at all e options, OSA was e program at was best suited to get him ere. We had a great experience is last summer wi e OSA Adidas team which gave e players exposure nationwide and which opened up many opportunities and offers for all of our kids. I would recommend OSA to anyone wanting to get eir son or daughter great coaching and exposure to allow em to play at e college level. Dana Janssen, faer of Joan Janssen, Lincoln East Senior and Wayne State Commit 2018 All ree of our sons played AAU wi OSA Crusaders and it was definitely some of e best experiences each of em, and our family, had rough eir high school years. The heavy exposure to college coaches, e regular and consistent practice time, and e high-level coaching ey received were all contributing factors to each of em achieving eir goal of playing college basketball. The friendships and memories we made rough playing AAU wi OSA will be wi us for life. Steven Ferrarini, faer of Nick Ferrarini, Milla Nor Senior and 2018 Wayne State Commit 5
