2 Conditions of Entry 1. Only open to Registered Australian Stock Horses owned by current Financial Members of the Australian Stock Horse Society. At State Show level, this includes all horses ridden/handled in all youth events, and all exhibitors, handlers and competitors may be asked to show current ASHS membership for All horses will be inspected against their registration papers, so competitors must bring their registration papers. Horse Inspections - Friday 3pm 5pm and then by arrangement. 3. Horses that do not match their registration papers, will not be eligible to compete & no refund will be given. 4. Horse stalls will be on a first in basis. ALL STALLS MUST BE LEFT CLEAN OR YOU WILL RECEIVE A $50 CLEANING FEE. 5. STALLIONS USING STALLS, MUST BE STABLED IN THE STALLION STALLS, ON THE NORTH WESTERN SIDE. 6. The judge s decision is FINAL - any disputes must be lodged with the secretary in writing within 30 minutes of the completion of the event and must be accompanied by a $50 fee (refundable if the dispute is upheld). The decision of the Disputes Committee on all matters will be final and binding. 7. Any competitor displaying unsportsmanlike conduct, cheating, abusing or threatening a Judge, official or other competitor will be liable for disqualification. 8. In the event of a tie for first place overall, there will be a ride off or a count back, at the committee s discretion. 9. If competing with more than one horse, please ensure you have enough handlers to keep the programme running smoothly and quickly. We need your co-operation. 10. Entries in the Champion of Champions Challenge are by Invitation only. 11. In the Champion of Champions Challenge each section to be scored out of 100 points except the Time Trial. All horses will be scored for each section, unless disqualified. Horses must compete in all phases to be eligible for Section and Overall Placings. The Cattle Work Section is not a Campdraft. The highest score from the Cattle Work Section or the Hack Section will be taken. 12. Cattle Work Section There will be a Cut Out in the camp followed by a circle in each direction in a figure of eight (competitors may go left or right) and then an attempt at the gate. Scoring will be 25 pts for cut out, 25 pts for 1 st circle, 25 pts for 2 nd circle & 25 pts for gate Total 100 points. If beast is lost back twice in the camp no points will be awarded for cut out. Competitor will be assisted from the camp and may continue outside. Time limit is 40 seconds 13. Drug testing may occur at this event. Competitors must hand in a Horse Health Declaration Form on arrival at the Dalby Showgrounds. Do not send in with your nomination form. Disclaimer - Neither the organising committee or the ASHS Limited accepts any liability for any accidents, damage, injury or illness to horses, riders, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever. REFUNDS - Should this event be postponed due to bad weather or any other reason acceptable to the committee, nominations already accepted will still apply. Nomination fees will be refunded in full, if scratched before the 7 th July. After the 7 th July, refunds will be at the discretion of the committee and a $20 cattle levy will be retained. No refunds will be given if scratched after 8am, 20 th July, COMMUNICATION WITH COMPETITORS - Please ensure you give your current address, in order to receive competitor information and schedule of entries prior to the show. STALLIONS - Stallions and colts may only be handled by a competent person 18 years or over. When being led or ridden they must have a bit in their mouth (2yrs & over) and be under control of the bit. When left unattended they must be suitably restrained e.g. double tied or stabled. ANY HORSE, REGARDLESS OF SEX, DISPLAYING UNRULY OR DANGEROUS BEHAVIOUR MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE ARENA. YOUTH EVENTS - ONE HORSE PER RIDER - All Youth competitors, 17 years and under must wear an Australian Safety approved helmet at all times when handling a horse within the perimeter of the grounds (on or off the horse). As per ASHS Ltd rules and regulations the chin strap must be fastened at all times. All youth riders competing at a State or Nationals Show must ride registered horses. The committee reserves the right to alter the programme, delete or adjudicate on any event as it sees fit.
