2 Welcome to our fourth annual Thickness Sells bull sale. We are very proud of this year s offering. We feel they get better every year and have been admired at the farm by everyone who has seen them. This year s bulls have similar sires to the 2015 bulls but it seemed that the 2016 offerings are from most of our best cows. As we try to grow and improve our herd, we hope these dams will have heifer calves soon, but the 2016 bull buyers will be this year s winners. Thick cattle are at a premium as always and every feeder sale, Limo-sired crossbred calves outsell the rest, with Char-Limo crosses outselling straight Charolais and Limo-Angus crosses topping straight Angus. Thanks for considering our bulls this spring. Sire selection is best made by you, the producer, and no matter whether you buy a bull from Nappan, privately, or from our sale, with the use of A.I., the genetics are very equal across the country. The Maritimes have great genetics and do not underestimate our own stock. We continue to improve our herd with purchases of animals, embryos, and semen, and plan on working with the cow/calf people of the Maritimes to continue to offer the Thickness Sells bull sale for years to come.
