Your support and comments are appreciated. It gives us great satisfaction when we deliver bulls and see so many well-kept herds and bulls that we sold you in the past looking so good. After the flood in 2011, a lot of our pastures came up with massive amounts of foxtail I m sure many of you had the same problem finding enough pasture. Once again, you can count on calving ease, great udders on our females, very attractive calves at weaning with good weights. Plus bulls that will have good feet and will continue to do well for years to come. If you can t make it to the sale, give us a ring and let us know what you are looking for. We will do our best to make sure you are satisfied with a bull. Our selection goals are geared to getting you the best bull possible for your program. We have 5 Pleasant Dawn bulls working for us. We have run a closed beef herd for over 35 years. Keeping our own replacement heifers is an important part of building a strong foundation in the herd. The Tully Hatch family and their bulls are doing just that for us, as well as giving us the pounds to sell in the fall off our last February, March calving cows. The calving ease, growth, depth, width and the disposition of these herdsires is really showing. We have a little ways to go to the vision of what I want our herd to look like. We have always rail graded our finished cattle and rely heavy on EPDs. The Hatch family s genetics have been a sound part of our crossbreeding program and has shown positive in our feedlot results. We have been through a few ups and downs in the cattle cycle and found that a solid crossbreeding program that gives us live calves that convert grass to beef and have the gut capacity to perform well in the feedlot will save us money at the end of the day.
