2 WELCOE As we celebrate 25 years, we would like to welcome you to our 25th annual bull sale on behalf of the Howe and Rosso families. We are extremely proud of the set of bulls we have on offer this year. These bulls are the result of many years spent in the purebred business by the contributors to the sale. We have followed a strict culling procedure to bring you the very best set of bulls that we have offered in the last 25 years. These bulls are the result of a hardworking set of cows where good feet, legs and udders are taken very seriously. Never before has it paid as well to be running top quality bulls in your cow herd. These bulls are affordable. In our 2014 sale over 70% of the sale offering sold for $4500 or less. Now more than ever the heavy calves are bringing the top dollar in your local auction mart. In mid February at Heartland in oose Jaw we saw steers bring as high as $2000. Cull bulls are trading at record levels so now more than ever it is important to trade up to new genetics. This will be the 9th year we have sold our bulls by video auction. Our customers are happy with the video auction concept and find it much easier to analyze the bulls when you are able to see them move freely versus being crammed into a small sale ring. View Videos & Catalogue It is with great honor that we dedicate the 25th Anniversary to our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Shirley Rosso. Shirley passed away suddenly on October 25, She is deeply missed by many friends and family. Shirley was a mentor for many young people for the past 40 years through her extensive involvement in the 4-H and Jr programs held throughout Saskatchewan. Shirley was always carting kids off to a cattle show in the famous motorhome that saw many miles during the summer. She always gave of herself with no questions asked. This year s bull sale will be a new chapter as Shirley won t be here to look after the lunch and direct traffic. However, we will always remember her standing near the door at the back of the sale barn. Forever in our hearts!

16 White Cap Charolais With the increasing demand for 2 year old bulls, last spring we decided to set aside a group of young and promising calves to sell to this market. We brought these bulls along with our yearling bulls on a moderate gain/developing ration until April. They were then switched on to a high forage backgrounding ration until turned out on pasture in August. In November we brought these bulls in along with our own herd sire s to finish their development into the phenomenal set of bulls you see. Take a look at the pictures/videos of these bulls and you can see that they are not the leftovers. 22 White Cap Charolais In putting together our 25th anniversary catalogue it is hard to believe that we have been breeding Charolais cattle since We believe it is no accident that this set of bulls is this strong. These bulls represent what we have strived for over the last 47 years. They have very moderate birth weights but still have the growth and performance the breed represents to the commercial industry. You have to appreciate the hair coat these bulls carry along with strong feet and legs and cleanliness through the sheath. The Roundup sons are off first calf heifers and are lower birth weight but still carry that great weaning weight and performance we need to see in the fall. As well, the Coach, Certainty and Revolver sons are all out of bulls we raised ourselves and thought enough of to keep them to use in our herd. They are all from strong cow families that speak for themselves in what the bulls have sired for sons/daughters. The right of property shall not pass until settlement is made. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. Disputes: In case of disputes, bidding will be re-opened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer s decision is final. Purchaser s Risk: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser s risk for a reasonable length of time. Announcements: Errors discovered in the catalogue will be corrected by announcements from the auction stand at sale time and such corrections will take precedence. Certificate of Registry: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Angus and Charolais Associations. A certificate of registry duly tranferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after settlement has been made. Breeder s Guarantee: Should any bull, 14 months of age or over, fail to prove a breeder after being used on cows known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within 6 months following date of purchase or 6 months after the bull has reached 14 months of age. The seller will then have the right of privilege of 6 months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze. Exception Guarantee: In case where the animal is subject to any horomonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, this guarantee is null and void. Settlement: Transportation charges on animals returned to the seller are for account of purchaser. No incidental expenses such as feed, care, AI, signing fees, interest, veterinary charges etc. will be charged by either party when making settlement. If the seller is successful in proving the animal in question to be a breeder then said animal will be reclaimed by the purchaser at their expense. Should the seller fail to prove the animal a breeder, then the buyer is guaranteed a satisfactory replacement FOB ranch or locations of origin or a refund of actural price FOB selling point. In no event, shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price paid FOB selling point. Should a dispute arise over the quality of the replacement animal, Sales anagement will appoint a mediator. Accidents: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither sales managers, auctioneer nor Association assume any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise, in the event of accident or loss of property. The consignors to our 2015 sale reserve the right to draw semen on any bull at the buyer s convenience.
