1 2017 DEPARTMENT 22 MAJOR CONTESTS Each individual contest is governed by its own specific set of rules as well as with its own set of Premiums and/or Ribbons. Judges will judge each exhibit according to the rules set forth for that particular exhibit without bias. Please read the rules carefully to prevent disqualification. Baked Goods must be brought into the Agriculture building in such a container that is appropriate for the safety of the entry, and will remain in the container until the judging of that particular contest. Containers will not be returned. Refrigeration will be available for any entry that requires it, please bring this to the attention of the building staff and they will assist you. 2 HAY HAULING CONTEST Monday, approximately, 7:30 PM, Following the Horse Show Remington Rose Coordinator The course will be set and reviewed the day of the contest. Teams will load hay bales onto the bed of a Pick-Up Truck and drive through an obstacle course set up in the Arena. THE BEST TIME WILL WIN! Entry Fee: $15.00 Per Team with a 12 Team Limit Teams must be pre -registered with entry fee paid. Teams will be picked First Come First Served by date. 1 st Prize - $45.00 TEAM RULES 1. The team name must be submitted with each contestant registration. To be eligible for premium payout each contestant must submit a complete registration form. 2. Teams must consist of 3 members: One must be female and One the age of 15 or under The truck bed must be the regular 6 or 8 foot bed. Flat beds will not be permitted. 3. Seat belts must be worn whenever the vehicle is in motion. 4. Drivers must be legally licensed to drive and have valid registration and insurance. 5. The course will consist of 42 Bales of Hay. 6. Lost bales will have a one minute penalty, and any un-retrieved bales will have a two minute penalty. 7. Contestants may only participate on 1 team.

5 STONEBOAT (WOOD SLED) HAY HAULING CONTEST Tuesday, 6:00 PM Remington Rose Coordinator - Registration fee $10.00 per Team Rules & Regulations YOUTH ONLY Garden Tractors: 1. Any Year HP or less 3. Ages Garden tractors may participate more than twice but with different team members. Contestants may only participate once. 5. Garden tractors will use 3 bales of hay. 6 4-H ARCHERY COMPETITION SUNDAY AFTER HORSE HALTER Exhibitors must be in a 4-H Archery Club 1. Rules will apply: Safety Glasses A Release Finger Tabs Long Hair must be pulled back Closed toe shoes Arm Guard (optional) 2. Beginners will shoot a 150 Round all other Exhibitors will be shooting a 300 Round 3. Distances will be determined by Skill Level 4.
