2 PREFACE Dear friends, Welcome to everybody for these Eurolympiads We are happy and proud to organise this international event that combines sport and culture, opposition and friendship, relaxing occasions and periods of intense efforts. Gravelines town is very rich and can t be compared to others because it has got a lot of various and good accommodation, culture and sport facilities. During this week you will have the possibility to use quite a lot of these facilities: the Dunes Camping site, the nautical centre, Sportica, the Moulin stadium, five different gymnasiums, the PAArc and our school «Pierre et Marie Curie». Thus we have been able to enlarge our sport programme: to the traditional athletics, swimming, football, basketball and badminton we have added table tennis, a rowing machines event and a duathlon. The participation of the biggest possible number of pupils in each team has been our constant will. The winning school will be undoubtedly the one where the group will be the most complete and showing the most solidarity as a team is never stronger than the weakest of all its players. 7 TUESDAY AFTERNOON 21/04 ATHLETICS PM TO PM: at the Moulin stadium Pools for the 80 M races, 80 M hurdling, 400 M races and 4 x 100 M relays 1 IRELAND 1 FRANCE (GRAVELINES) 2 FRANCE (BOURBOURG) 2 BELGIUM 3 WALES 3 ENGLAND 4 FINLAND 4 SWEDEN Rules: total de 8 attempts for high jump with a 9th attempt if the 8th one is successful, 4 attempts for the other competitions and a 5th one for the 4 1st competitors, 2 groups of 4 athletes for the races with a time ranking, teams of minimum 8 athletes. Events: - Racing: 80 M races 80 M hurdling M races- 4 x 100m relays - Throwing: Shot putting and javelin throwing - Jumping: High and long jump - Only 1 race for the girls 800 M and the boys 1500 races Each athlete can do only one event, with the relay included PM: Delivery of the medals of the day at Sportica 20H30: Musical Entertainment 7

The events: Teams of 8 swimmers - 50M Breast- stroke 50M backstroke 50M free swimming - 3 x 25 M relays: backstroke, breast- stroke and crawl (3 different swimmers from the 50 M swimmers) - Rescue operation: 2 swimmers (different from the previous ones) after the demonstration 12
