1 Host: West Shore YMCA and Northern York Aquatic Club Purpose: To provide 8 & under swimmers an opportunity to swim in a Championship type meet at the end of their season Date: Facilities: The brand new Northern York High School Natatorium has a six (6) lane 25 yard pool. A fully automatic Colorado 6 timing system with display board will be used. We will be using Hy-Tek meet management software. Swimmers will be seeded in the auxiliary gym prior to their event and then be lead to the pool area through a hall prepared with safety mats. When the swimmers are not competing, they are to remain in the gym. The pool deck seating area will be for spectators only. We ask spectators not to lay out blankets etc. on bleachers in pool area. We would like everyone to have the opportunity to sit and relax during the meet. There is adequate parking around the school premises. Please look for signs that will direct you to those parking areas. Do Not Park in areas with orange cones as these areas are for EMERGENCY USE ONLY! ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD or BEVERAGE will be allowed in the Natatorium Area. Photos of the pool may be found on our web site. Entries: This meet is open to all swimmers that are registered members with the clubs/ymca s invited. Each swimmer may swim a maximum of three (3) individual events, and one medley and one free relay. The swimmers age will be determined as of December 1, All entries should be submitted on disk using the Hy-Tek Team Manager software. The file containing the events for this meet may be downloaded from our web site If you do not have access to the Hy-Tek software, please use the attached entry forms. Be sure to indicate if your entry times are in yards (Y) or meters (M). Entries, for which a swimmer has no time, must be entered with a NT in the space provided for the entry time. Relay Cards will be handed out at the coaches meeting for coaches to fill in their relay swimmer names. The number of entries for this meet will be limited to 300 athletes!!!. Entries may be faxed or ed, however hard copy and payment must follow within three (3) days. Entries that are ed MUST use Team Manager/commlink or USA Swimming (SDIF) Closing Date: Entries must be received no later than Wednesday, February 25, Entries will be taken on a first comefirst serve basis until we reach 300 athletes. Psych Sheets will be updated on our web site as we receive entries. Entry Fees: $3.25 per individual event, and $12 per Relay. (NOTE: If you will NOT be entering using the Hy-Tek software, the entry fee is $4.00 per individual event). Please send one (1) check for the total amount of your team entry. Cost of program is $3.00.

2 Meet Rules: The & Under Mini Championships is governed by the current NCAA Rules. All events will be timed finals. One (1) false start given to all swimmers. There will be a coaches meeting prior to the start of the session, where we will hand out relay cards. It will be the coaches responsibility to get their swimmers to the seeding area prior to the start of each event. If space permits we will take deck entries at $5 per swim. Meet Time Line: 12-12:45pm Pool Open for Warm-up (NOTE: We will split the warm-up into two (2) sessions. Warm- Up times will be on our web site) 1:10pm Meet Begins Safety Notice There will be NO DIVING from the shallow end (non-block end) at any time during warm-ups or during the meet. There will be NO DIVING from the starting blocks and no backstroke starts during the warm-up session, with this exception: Limited diving and backstroke starts from the starting blocks in sprint lanes will be permitted, BUT only when announced. These rules follow National YMCA Warm-Up Safety procedures. Timers Each team that has more than five (5) swimmers entered is requested to supply the name of one (1) timer. Thank you in advance for your help. Awards: For individual events: Custom made Medals (1st-3rd) finishers. Custom made rosette ribbons will be awarded for 4th-6th place. Ribbons will be awarded to 7-12 th place finishers for individual events. Relay rosette ribbons will be awarded for (1st-3rd) place finisher. Heat ribbons will be awarded for all heat winners, and each participant in the meet will be given a participation ribbon. High Point trophies will be given for the top scoring male and female in the following age groups: 5 & Under, 6 year old, 7 year old, 8 year old. Swimmers that are 5 year old and compete in a 6 and under event will be scored separately. Swimmers that are 6 years old and participate in a 7 and under event will be scored separately. We will also award a Team Trophy to the team that scores the most total points Meet Announcements- All pre-meet announcements including warm-up times/lanes, teams participating, meet psych sheets, and other pre-meet information may be found on our web site. All results, and coaches download files will be posted on our web site immediately following the meet. We will NOT mail printed results. Concession Area We will have a large concession area with an assortment of breakfast and lunch items available during the entire meet. The concession stand will be located in the front lobby. All food and drink must be consumed in the concession area. ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD or BEVERAGE will be allowed in the Natatorium Area. We will also have a large assortment of swim suits, goggles, and other items in our swim Shop Inclement Weather There is no snow date for this meet. All communication will be done using our web site regarding inclement weather. If the meet is cancelled, all entry money will be returned. No parents will be permitted on the pool deck.

3 Notes about meet venue This meet will be held at the Northern York High School Natatorium in There are a few rules that all coaches, swimmers, and parents need to be aware: There is no food or drink permitted on the pool deck. Exceptions are made for water and sport drink for the swimmers. This rule will be enforced by school security. When the swimmers are not competing, they will be in a gymnasium. Please have your swimmers bring extra clothing as gymnasium s are kept at a cooler temperature than swimming pools. We are asking that each team have one representative in the gym with your swimmers. Deck access will be controlled. Other than swimmers, only volunteers, coaches, and officials will be permitted on the pool deck. This will be controlled with deck passes.
