1 Meet Hosts: West Shore YMCA Background: This swim meet is held in memory of Jeremy Naylor, a 2006 graduate of Dover Area High School. His parents and brother, Eric, are close friends of the WSY Competitive Swimming Program and our programming within the Northern York School District. In 2008, Jeremy was tragically killed in an automobile accident. This swim meet is a tribute to Jeremy. The money raised from this meet continues to fund a scholarship in Jeremy s memory which is awarded to a High School Senior within our YMCA Competitive Swimming program. Our hope is that we can continue our efforts as a tribute to Jeremy, provide an opportunity to compete in the sport we ve grown to love, to show our support for the Naylor family, and to have an afternoon of fun! Facilities: The Northern High School Pool is a six lane, 25-yard pool with full display. A Colorado timing system will be used, along with touch pads at the finish end for 50 yard and longer events and button finish for the 25 yard events for 8 & under. The meet will be run using Hy-tek Meet Management software. The water depth at the turn end of the pool is 5 feet. We will be using Hy-Tek meet management software. There will be no Seeding Area to stage swimmers. All coaches are responsible to see their swimmers are behind the blocks. The host team will have volunteers behind the blocks to double check swimmers are in the proper lanes. Photos of the pool may be found on our web site. swimmer may swim a maximum of four (4) individual events and two (2) relays. The swimmers age will be determined as of December 9, All entries should be submitted on disk using the Hy-Tek Team Manager or Team Unify software. The file containing the events for this meet may be downloaded from our web site If you do not have access to the Hy-Tek or Team Unify software, please the meet director for instructions. Be sure to indicate if your entry times are in yards (Y) or meters (M). Entries, for which a swimmer has no time, must be entered with a NT in the space provided for the entry time. The number of entries for this meet will be limited. Entries may be e- mailed, however hard copy and payment must follow within three (3) days. An additional $1 per event fee will be charged to all entries submitted on paper rather than electronically. We have information on the final page of this meet entry about a HY-Tek product that is FREE (TM-Lite). This product will assist you in completing your electronic entry. Closing Date: Entries must be received no later than Monday, December 3, Entries will be taken on a firstcome, first-served basis to keep within our pre-determined time line. Meet Admission: Cost of admission is $5.00 per person (under 12 free) and programs are free Entries: This meet is open to all swimmers that are registered members with the clubs/ymca s invited. Each

2 Entry Fees: $5.00 per individual event and $10 per relay team, (NOTE: If you will NOT be entering using the Hy-Tek software, the entry fee is $6.00 per individual event). All events will be timed finals. There will be no false start. There will be a coach s meeting prior to the start of the session. It will be the coach s responsibility to get their swimmers to the blocks prior to the start of each event. Meet Time Line: Doors open at 12:00PM. Because of school district policy, we cannot get into the facility before this time. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY Open Warm-Ups will begin at 12:15PM. 12:15 PM Officials Meeting 12:45 PM Timers Meeting 1:15 PM Meet Starts regarding inclement weather Safety Notice There will be NO DIVING from the shallow end (non-block end) at any time during warm-ups or during the meet. There will be NO DIVING from the starting blocks and no backstroke starts during the warm-up session, with this exception: Limited diving and backstroke starts from the starting blocks in sprint lanes will be permitted, BUT only when announced. These rules follow National YMCA Warm-Up Safety procedures. Timers Each team is requested to supply the name of one (1) timer. Thank you in advance for your help. Awards: Ribbons will be awarded to 1st 6th place winners. Relays will be awarded 1 st -3rd Concession Area We will have a large concession area with an assortment of breakfast and lunch items available during the entire meet. Meet Announcements - All pre-meet announcements including warm-up times/lanes, teams participating, meet psych sheets, and other pre-meet information may be found on our web site. We will NOT mail printed results. We will all teams should this timeline need adjusted in any way Inclement Weather There is no snow date for this meet. All communication will be done using our web site

3 Facility Rules: The following rules will be strictly enforced: Swimmers will be permitted to sit on the pool deck, in the adjacent hallway, and outside the concession area. If needed we may utilize the gymnasium for seating. Please assist in keeping the gym floor dry. Concessions allowed in the concession area only. With the exception of water, no food or drink allowed in the gym or pool area. No horseplay is permitted which includes running, throwing balls, etc. Locker room space is limited. Please restrict these areas to swimmers for restroom and changing purposes only. NO DIVING IN THE SHALLOW END. SWIMMERS MUST HAVE FOOTWEAR TO LEAVE THE POOL DECK
