1 EAST Tridents Big/Little Invitational When: Sunday, February 26th, 2017 Facility: Ohio University- 122 Aquatic Center, Ohio University, Athens OH Lane Competition Course with warm up / warm down lanes Entries: We will begin accepting entries February 5, 2017 and will accept entries in order by date / timestamp until the meet is full or the deadline on February 12, Entries are to be sent to Tridentsheadcoach@ymcacolumbus.org Entry chairs will be notified twice during the entry process: Acknowledgment of receipt of entries Indication of acceptance into meet Once accepted, any adjustments to your roster or entries need to be finalized by February 21, Teams will be responsible for all entry fees incurred as of date of the final change deadline. Entry Limits: Entry Fees: Events: Swimmers may swim THREE individual and TWO relay events. $5.00 per individual event and $15.00 per relay. Checks should be made payable to YMCA Of Central Ohio Mailed to Attn. Chris Tamasovich 6767 Refugee Rd, Canal Winchester, Ohio See attached order of events. Meet Notes: Each swimmer must be a local YMCA Swim team member with an active membership, age groups determined by age on December 1, This meet will be conducted in accordance with the Rules that Govern YMCA Competitive Sports, and in compliance with USA Technical Rules. Distance events will be limited as follows: 1000 freestyle 20 swimmers total fastest entered 10 girls and 10 boys* 500 freestyle 60 swimmers total fastest entered 30 girls and 30 boys* *If we do not reach capacity by gender, we will accept swimmers until we reach indicated cap. Swimmers will need to provide their own timers and lap counter. All individual entries must include seed time. NT entries will not be accepted. Deck entries will only be taken to fill empty lanes and as Exhibition swims. No points will be accumulated for the swimmer or the team. There will be a $10.00 entry

2 fee for individual events and a $20.00 entry fee for a relay team. We will be maximizing available lanes and do not anticipate many opportunities for deck entries. Time Trials may be contested at the end of the day if time permits (and at the discretion of the head official). Swimmers will be required to provide timers for their events Start Times: 10 & Under AM session will begin with warm ups at 7:00 am; Specific lanes/times will be given at a later date; Meet starts at 8:00 am. 11 & Over PM session warm ups will begin approximately at 1:00 pm. *A more definite timeline and warm up schedule will be given once entries are received Yard Freestyle will swim at the end of the morning session. Swimmers may warm up during the freestyle relay. Scoring: Individual Events: 16, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Relay Events: 18, 14, 10, 8, 6, 4 Although this meet will swim as an open mixed meet, scoring and awards will be as follows: Individual events: 8 & under, 9 10, 11 12, and 15 & up. * 1000 will be scored and awarded as open event (11 & up). Relay events: 8 & under, 9 10, 11 12, 13 14, and 15 & up. Top TWO relays from each team are eligible to score. Swimmers may swim up, but points achieved will not be accumulated for individual high point across age groups. Awards: Heat Winner ribbons for 10 and under only. Individual High Point Awards for each age group. Individual Events: Medals 1 st 3 rd, Ribbons 4 th - 12 th Relay Events: Medals 1 st 3 rd, Ribbons 4 th 6 th Team Banners: 1 st 3rd Bullpen: There will be a bullpen for 10 & under swimmers only. 11 & over swimmers will be responsible for watching event numbers in the designated waiting area. Every team is responsible for getting swimmers to the bullpen.

3 Concessions: Vendor: Timers: Officials: Provided by Ohio University s Atrium Cafe Hospitality Room: A Hospitality Room will be available for coaches and officials deck side. Kelly s Poco Loco Swim Shop Each team is asked to provide timers. Volunteers should report to the pool deck for timers meeting before each session. At this time, we are in need of timers in the am session. CERTIFIED OFFICIALS ARE NEEDED Each visiting team with 10 or more swimmers entered in a session is asked to provide at least one official for that session to supplement officials provided by EAST. Smaller teams can volunteer, too! Bonus for visiting team officials: Any visiting team official who officiates either during the morning or afternoon session or for two hours during each session will receive a gift card. T Shirts: Giving Back: T Shirts will be available for sale at the meet. T Shirts and additional wear is available for pre order. A link will be sent out to all teams for online pre-orders prior to the meet. We will be accepting donations of new or gently used swim suits and goggles. All donations will be given to families in need. Donations can be dropped off at the entrance of the OU Aquatic Center. Swimmer Recognition and Hover Board Give away: Pay $2 and receive a rubber duck to take home to your swimmer and paper duck to deliver a message encouraging to your swimmer. Your swimmer will also be put a raffle for a brand new hover board! You do not need to be present to win. 50/50: We will also have A 50/50 raffle Swimmer Camp / Spectator Gallery / Deck Access: Designated areas in the bleachers will serve as swimmer camp. Pool deck is accessible to swimmers, coaches, and meet personnel only. Deck passes will be distributed at the beginning of the meet. Any child(ren) that require parent assistance may request a deck pass. Coaches must ctamasovich@ymcacolumbus.org for parental deck passes.

4 Please Remind your Parents: Please police the swimmers (and any siblings) to stay within the permitted swim meet areas. Parents need to keep eyes on all children throughout the day. We are renting out only the following areas of the OU Aquatic Center: Entire Pool facility and Grover Center lobby. Please keep children out of all other areas. Thank you.
