2 ABOUT THE RUN Here are a few things that you need to know to breeze through the run. Race Kit Collection Date : September 2018 (Fri Sun) Time : 10am 6pm Venue: MyTown Shopping Centre, 3rd Floor, in front of The Klang Taste Race kits for ALL categories consist of: 1 Brooks running T-shirt 1 numbered bib (timing chip is only for 12km) Safety pins Documents needed for Race Kit Collection: Self-Collection Confirmation slip (rinted/digital) MyKad or assport (Original) Collection on Behalf Confirmation slip (rinted/digital) Representative s MyKad or assport (Original) Runner s MyKad or assport (hotocopy) Letter of Authorisation Note: The Organiser reserves the rights to refuse the collection of race kit in the event of any incomplete mandatory documents. All race kits that not collected during the stipulated collection date will be deemed as unwanted race kits and the organiser has the right to dispose or re-distribute it accordingly. Strictly limited to one race kit per participant. No collection of race kits will be entertained thereafter.

3 ABOUT THE RUN Check-in rocedure You are advised to join the warm-up session before the race starts at 6:00am. All runners are required to assemble at the starting point at least 15 minutes before the respective flag-off time. 9 RACE DAY Substitution & Non-Registered Runners You are NOT allowed to transfer your bib to any other runner. Substitute and non-registered runner will be disqualified. Only registered runners are eligible to take part in the run. ersonal Belongings The Organiser will not be responsible for any loss and/or damage, personal or otherwise, to the belongings and items deposited at the baggage booth. You are expected to pick up your personal belongings before 10.00am. Surau Surau is located nearby AXA Carnival area. lease refer to Appendix 4 "HOW TO GET THERE" or Appendix 5 "WHERE TO ARK". Gathering Time Category Cut-Off Time All officials including marshals, medical units and police personnel, will be withdrawn from the (A) course starting 9.00am onwards. Any runner who has not passed the Men 12km Open mark by 9.00am is advised to take the Marshals Vehicle for their own safety. Checkpoints (B) One (1) checkpoint will be available Women along the Open 12km route. For the 12km route, anyone without possession of this checkpoint mat at the finishing line will be disqualified. (C) Water Stations 6:00am There will be three (3) water stations Men along Open the 12km route and one (1) water station for the 6km route. There will also be a water station and an isotonic drink station at the starting and finishing line. You are encouraged to keep yourself hydrated. Kindly refer to Appendix 2 "12km Route" & Appendix 3 "6km Route" for the water station locations. Toilets (E) Mobile toilets are available at Child the AXA Beginner Carnival area. There will be mobile toilets at Water Station 1 (WS1) and Water Station 3 (WS3) along the route. rize Giving Top three (3) finishers for the men and women categories will be rewarded. Winners will be called on to stage for the prize giving ceremony. Winners will have to assemble at the main stage 30 minutes before the prize giving ceremony. All winners are to produce their MyKad / passport for verification purpose. Representative is not allowed to collect the prizes on behalf of the winner. Cash Reward Winners can collect the cash reward after the prize giving ceremony. Food acks Food packs will be distributed to all the runners upon completion of the run at the finishing line. lease show your race bib for redemption. Strictly limited to one food pack per participant. AFTER THE RUN Certificates Runners who complete their race within 2 1 /2 hours will be given an e-certificate 7 days after the race day. E-certificate will be provided for participants from Category A & B - 12km, as well as Category C - 6km. Race Results The results of the 12km category will be posted on heyjom.com/axa, one week after the race day based on the timing chip record. Medals Finisher medals will be distributed at a designated area after the finishing line on race day. No collection will be entertained thereafter. Winner trophies will be given during the prize presentation.

10 IMORTANT ADVICE Traffic olice While we appreciate and encourage your participation in this run, please take note that: a) You are advised to strictly follow all instructions given by the Marshals / Traffic olice b) Road closure begins at 4.00am onwards. Certain parts of the route will be closed intermittently. c) All roads are expected to be opened by 10.30am (subject to the traffic police discretion). Unpredictable Weather Conditions AXA Hearts In Action Run 2018 may be delayed OR cancelled in case of a lightning Gathering storm or any other unpredictable Category weather conditions. We will notify you in case there Time are unpredictable changes in the weather that require any preparation in advance. In case you get caught in a (A) thunderstorm during the run: Men Open Do not seek shelter under tall structures, metal poles, tall trees and tents Take cover under low-hanging (B) trees or inside nearby buildings Women Open The event may be cancelled in case of severe weather conditions. In such cases, there will be no refunds and the Organiser will not be held liable. 6:00am Medical Assistance If you have any health conditions, please consult your doctor or a medical professional on whether you are fit to participate in the run. If you feel weak, dizzy, nauseous, and light-headed or have an irregular heartbeat, please inform an event official/volunteer immediately and consult nearby medical staff. You are advised to monitor your heartbeat, body temperature, and general well-being to avoid any unwanted medical emergencies. The medical staff at AXA Hearts In Action Run 2018 will treat serious cases and injuries, otherwise known as medical emergencies. They will not be able to treat minor cases like muscle cramps, minor cuts and bruises and minor sprains or strains.
