Mae r ŵyl yn cynnig rhywbeth i bawb - o deithiau cerdded diwrnod cyfan llawn her i ambell dro hamddenol a theithiau n ymwneud a diddordebau arbennig - rhywbeth at ddant pawb beth bynnag fo ch gallu. Mae pob taith gerdded wedi i graddio er mwyn sicrhau y cewch y gorau o r profiad. Cofiwch y gall y tir fod yn anwastad yn y Cymoedd, gyda llethrau serth, felly dylech wisgo dillad ac esgidiau addas. Tîm Gŵyl Gerdded Cymoedd Cymru 2015 Welcome to the eleventh annual Wales Valleys Walking Festival. The Festival provides something for everyone ranging from challenging all day treks, to easier strolls and special interest walks all abilities are catered for. All walks have been graded to ensure you get the most enjoyment out of your walk. Please bear in mind the terrain in the valleys can be uneven, with steep inclines and descents, ensure you have appropriate clothing and footwear. Booking is essential, so please pre-book on your walks, to avoid disappointment. Whilst we can t control the weather we can ensure you will have a wonderful time with our guides listening to their fascinating facts or simply taking in a stunning view or two. Happy Walking! WALK UP A HILL, COME DOWN A MOUNTAIN am Taff s Well Park, Taffs Well, CF15 7PQ Grid Ref: ST Duration: 4 hours Distance: 6 miles / 9km Description: Wonderful walk up the iconic Garth Mountain with fabulous views of Cardiff and the up the Taff Valley towards the Brecon Beacons down to Taffs Well Thermal Spring. Sturdy walking boots are required as there are some steep inclines and terrain. 2. THE DELIGHTS OF THE DARRAN VALLEY am Parc Cwm Darran Visitor Centre, CF81 9NR Grid Ref: SO Duration: 4.5 hours Distance: 8.5 miles / 14km Description: A beautiful walk taking in the Darran Valley.

PENRHYS: THE PILGRIMS WAY Corner of Darren Ddu road and Berw Road (B4273), Pontypridd: CF37 2AA Grid Ref: ST Duration: 5 hours Distance: 8 miles / 13km Description: Walk the traditional pilgrim s way to Penrhys, through Mynachdy and Llanwynno. MOORLAND MEANDER Abertillery Museum, Market Street, Abertillery, NP13 1AH Grid Ref: SO Duration: 6 hours Distance: 7 miles / 11km Description: Circular walk exploring the moorland landscape, myths, legends and industrial archaeology of Abertillery.

BEDLINOG CIRCULAR WALK Bedlinog Square Grid Ref: SO Duration: 6 hours Distance: 18 miles / 13km Description: Arthurian legends, bronze age buriel mounds and goodwill to the children of the world on this amazing circular walk.

BLAENAVON INDUSTRIAL LANDSCAPE Blaenavon World Heritage Centre, NP4 9AE Grid Ref: SO Duration: 6 hours Distance: 11 miles / 18km Description: Walk above, around and through Blaenavon taking in mines, iron works and other archaeological and historical features. DYDD MERCHER 16EG MEDI WEDNESDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER 12. IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF THE CHARTISTS Brynmawr Museum, NP23 4AJ Grid Ref: SO Duration: 6 hours Distance: 7 miles / 11km Description: Circular walk following the route taken by the Nantyglo Chartists also looking at the industrial archaeology Cwm Merddog Nature Reserve and local folklore.

11 FROM A SULTAN TO AN EMPEROR 2.00pm Parc Penallta, Ystrad Mynach, CF82 7GL Grid Ref: ST Duration: 2.5 hours Distance: 4 miles / 6.5km Description: A walk from one of Europes largest earth sculptures, Sultan the pit pony to the remains of the Roman fort at Gelligaer. A talk by the Gelligaer historical society and a stroll around the fort site. DYDD IAU 17EG MEDI THURSDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER 14. SPLASH OF WATER ON THE ROCKS Lay by north of Welsh Whisky distillery at Penderyn, CF44 9JW Grid Ref: SN Duration: 6 hours Distance: 7 miles / 11km Description: Walking from the quaint village of Penderyn and whisky distillery, onto Moel Penderyn, heading towards Craig y Ddinas, before a refreshing stop at Scwd yr Eira. The walk takes in old farmstead which were seen on Secret Britian. Sturdy walking boots are required as there are some steep inclines and terrain.

12 PONTYPOOL PARK AND CANAL Pontypool Active Living Centre, Pontypool Park, NP4 8AT Grid Ref: SO Duration: 4 hours Distance: 6 miles / 10km Description: Enjoy a walk through Pontypool park, up to the shell grotto then drop down onto the canal at Mamhilad. Enjoy the views along the canal finishing up at Pontymoile basin where you can drop in and have a cuppa at the cafe. There is a steep climb at the start of the walk through the park for approx 1½ miles. DYDD GWENER 18ED MEDI FRIDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER 16. A WALK WITH A HILL FARMER Cwmtillery Lakes Car Park, NP13 1LU Grid Ref: SO Duration: 2 hours Distance: 3 miles / 5km Description: Enjoy a circular walk around a local farm and the spectacular common land surrounding it to find out what hill farmers do - and how they do it!

RAILWAY RAMBLE 9.30am (to catch train) Llanhilleth Railway Station, NP13 2HT Grid Ref: SO Duration: 6 hours Distance: 8 miles/ 13km Description: A short train journey then the walk takes in the breathtaking Dark Age landscape of Domen Fawr and Cefn Man Moel.
