13 LAST SEASON NEW YEAR FEBRUARY SOCIAL HELD AT WILSERS ROOM OVER 50 ATTENDED SPRING SOCIAL AND RACE COMMITTEE EVENT GRIMROSS BREWERY APPROX. 30 IN ATTENDANCE INTRODUCTION RACE CALENDAR AND YEAR TOUR OF BREWERY INTRODUCTION TO SEASON S EVENTS WELCOME NEW RACERS EVENT EXIT REALTY RACE TO WELCOME NEW RACERS POTLUCK WITH APPROX. 50 IN ATTENDANCE CORN BOIL GREAT SUCCESS! 50 + IN ATTENDANCE STEAK AND LOBSTER EVENT CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST SEVERAL GET-TOGETHERS AFTER THE RACES IN DOUGLAS HARBOUR AND AROUND THE FIREPIT REMINDER OF FALL/WINTER SOCIAL COMING UP DECEMBER 6 TH AT GRIMROSS
14 NEXT SEASON I WOULD LIKE TO INCLUDE A BBQ POTLUCK AT OUR FREDERICTON RIVER FRONT AND ANOTHER BBQ-POTLUCK AT DOUGLAS HARBOUR. I WELCOME ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR ACTIVITIES OR EVENTS, SUCH AS HELPING WITH SPLICING PARTIES AND CONTRIBUTING TO CRUISES.
15 FYC AGM FREDERICTON REAR COMMODORES REPORT
16 THE 2016 SEASON ONLY ONE FLOODING, AND IT WAS DONE EARLY, WITH BOAT LAUNCHES STARTING IN EARLY MAY. AFTER A SLOW START TO GOOD WEATHER, IT WAS A NICE LONG SEASON FOR SAILING.
17 MOORINGS AN ADEQUATE NUMBER OF MOORINGS THIS YEAR, HELPED BY STAGGERED LAUNCHES. MIKE MACDONALD AND DIVER COMPLETED THE MOORING FIELD INSPECTION. DEFICIENCIES WERE ADDRESSED. ADDED SIX NEW MOORINGS, LENGTHENED EIGHT MOORING LINES THAT WERE TOO SHORT, AND RELOCATED FOUR MOORINGS THAT WERE TOO CLOSE TO OTHERS.
18 DOCKS REPAIRS WERE MADE TO APPROXIMATELY 15 OF 25 DOCKS, REPLACING ROTTEN WOOD, LOOSE FITTINGS, AND OTHER DEFICIENCIES. ONLY MINOR REPAIRS TO A FEW DOCKS IN 2017.
19 HYDRAULIC TRAILER MIKE MACDONALD AND MIKE LAAPER UNDERTOOK REPAIR OF THE HYDRAULICS ON THE TRAILER. FOULED LINES WERE PURGED, THE FOULED CYLINDERS AND CONTROL BOX REMOVED AND OVERHAULED, THE CONTROL HANDLES REMADE (LONGER), LIFTING BARS HANDLES REMADE, AND THE WHOLE SYSTEM MADE OPERABLE FOR THE HYDRAULIC LINES MAY BE REPLACED IN 2017, AFTER BOATS ARE LAUNCHED.
20 OTHER WORK DONE / TO DO THE HANDLE ON THE DINGHY DOLLY WAS LENGTHENED TO MAKE PULLING IT EASIER. A JACK WAS WELDED TO THE PONTOON BOAT TRAILER TONGUE. MEMBERS WHO HAVE LEFT MATERIALS ALONG THE FENCE (LUMBER, HOSES, TARPS, LADDERS, ETC.), AND DINGHIES OR HORSES IN FLOOD AREAS, ARE ASKED TO REMOVE THEM.
21 FOR 2017 PONTOON BOAT ROTTEN DECKING WILL BE REPLACED AND THE SHAKY ALUMINUM RAILS REINFORCED. ALSO, NEW PEOPLE WILL BE NEEDED TO OPERATE AND MAN THE PONTOON BOAT FOR MOORING WORK. DOCKS TWO NEW DOCKS ARE PLANNED TO BE BUILT. CRUSHED STONE IT IS PLANNED TO PLACE MORE CRUSHED STONE IN THE YARD.

33 PUMP OUT OPERATION IS AN ONGOING PAIN - SLOW TO CYCLE, NEW LEAK IN HOSE, AT END OF SEASON A GUEST LOST THE DECK CONNECTOR OVERBOARD, KEY BROKE OFF IN CYLINDER. CONTACTED SENHOLT ENVIRONMENTAL ORDERED TWO NEW BOAT DECK CONNECTORS PLUS KEY & IGNITION CYLINDER.
