2 Dear Parents, Welcome to South Head Youth s CTeen Ski Winter Experience. The LEADERS of TOMORROW becoming the LEADERS of TODAY. CTeen Ski Camp is a unique overnight adventure geared for teenagers aged Our program promises to boost your teen s self-esteem with extreme adventures, extreme trips, and an extreme love for being Jewish! Self-discovery, adventure, bonding with peers, and appreciating group dynamics are essential during the adolescent years when the children s transformation into adulthood begins. Our Ski Adventure program s array of amazing activities and thrilling trips is designed to boost the self-conridence, sense of responsibility, communication and survival skills of our teens. CTeen Ski Camp prides itself on its exceptional staff as well as our high staff to teen ratio. Our chaperones are loving and caring parents who will add the touch of home throughout the program. Our boy and girl leaders are both fun and energetic and are highly trained in working with your teenager to give him/her an amazing and safe ski winter experience that lasts a lifetime. Included in this package is all the information you will need, to know that your child will experience the most exciting winter holidays in a fun, safe and loving environment. 3 Our Campsite CTeen Ski Camp for winter 2016 will be at the Bright Chalet The beautiful township of Bright is situated in North Eastern Victoria. It is located on the Ovens River and tucked below the impressive Mount Buffalo, 7 hours from Sydney. Bright Chalet is the ideal base from which to explore this unique region. It offers guests hotel style accommodation in a unique European style chalet, right in the heart of the Victorian Alpine High Country. The Bright Chalet also includes many Chill areas where your teen can relax and rest up after a long day on the Slopes. A range of Game Tables will be around the camp site to provide some down time or just for a competitive game on Shabbat. Trips CTeen Ski Camp will focus on Snow Sports such as Skiing and Snow tubing. We will provide lessons for beginners or if your child already knows how to ski they can just jump straight on-to the Slopes. The Skiing will be held at Mount Hotham resort. Also included are other Activities such as Lazer Tag & Bowling. Ski/Snow Gear All Ski/Snow gear will be provided for the duration of Ski Camp. This includes. Ski Boots Ski Poles Parkas Snow Pants Beanies Sweater Please make sure to bring along Thermal Gloves which will not be provided but can be Hired at a $10 fee. Goggles are optional but can be purchased at the resort starting at $20. (Please feel free to bring your own Snow suit)

4 Meals/Snacks CTeen Ski Camp follows a strictly delicious and nutritious Glatt Kosher diet. We provide a daily breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a variety of different snacks and drinks, which will always be available. If your child must adhere to a special diet due to health reason s please feel free to contact us at anytime. We will try our very best to accommodate. Payment & Fees The cost for CTeen Ski Camp is as follows: $799 per teen (includes all Ski gear) Subsidies are available subject to approval by Scholarship board. To apply for a subsidy please contact Tzemach Due to CTeen Ski Camp s high demand and limited space, all fees must be paid at registration. Refund/Credit Policy CTeen Ski Camp does not offer any refunds. If notice is given up to 1 week prior to camp we can offer credits. If because of unforeseen circumstances (illness Etc.) your teen cannot attend camp, you must provide a signed Doctor s note stating date, time, name of child and reason for absence, we then may be able to provide credit. Illness/accident/medication If a child is unwell or involved in an accident and unable to join activities during the day, parents will be contacted for further instruction. In the event of a serious accident, children will be taken to the nearest medical assistance and parents will be notiried as soon as possible. CTeen Ski Camp have a number of First Aid CertiRicate holder s present at all times who takes care of minor scrapes and bruises. We do not administer medicines under any circumstances without consent from parents/guardian.

5 Please provide any medication and action plan that your child requires (Asthma Inhalers, EpiPens etc.) JLI Study Course While CTeen Ski camp is an adventures and thrilling experience it is also a Jewish experience. Therefore there will be 20 to 30 minute group discussions daily. Your child can choose between 2 options: Hollywood Idol or Why I Love Israel, both of these courses will help your child grow in their love for Judaism and the Jewish State, Israel. Transportation To ensure your teenager s safety a licensed and professional coach driver will provide all transportation to and from trips and activities during our program. 6 All Bedding including Pillow, Quilt (Heavy Blanket), Quilt Cover and fresh Towels is provided. Each Teen is limited to 1 suitcase and one small carry-on due to limited space. The program/schedule may be altered or amended to accommodate weather conditions or due to any unforeseen circumstances. Important information In case of an emergency whereby parents or legal guardians cannot be reached, CTeen Ski Camp will take appropriate action. CTeen Ski Camp will photograph and/or Rilm children for the promotion of camp.
