1 2018 Summer Reading Program at the Richland Public Library Fill out a (simple) review for every book you read after you sign up for Summer Reading Program. We will have raffles beginning mid-july and going through mid-august. Made possible by Richland Masonic Lodge #283, Local #598 and Ojeda. Mini Drones Demo & Races Saturday, June 23rd 1:00 4:00 pm Members of the Atomic City Drone Club will be available to answer questions. Plus view the drone display and learn how they use 3D printing. Followed by races. Always a fun time. MonkeyDooz Kids Art Show Pick up canvasses at MonkeyDooz (1325 Aaron Drive) starting July 19th. Artwork must be returned to the library by August 23rd to be in the art show in September. Parent/Child Partner Coding Tuesdays, June 19th, July 17th & August 14th at 2:00 pm Kids Coding: First Music & Sound Thursdays at 2:00 pm June 21st - August 9th (No class July 5th.)
2 Therapy Dog Meet & Greets These are the days we invited all our Therapy Dogs to come. We expect to see five or more dogs at most of these events. Wednesdays, June 20th & 27th, July 18th & 25th and August 22nd & 29th 6:30-7:30 pm. Other times to read to dogs: Kalia & Friends will be here Thursdays, June 28th & July 26th at 4:00 pm Scout will be here most Friday mornings. Bella & Goldie will be here most Monday mornings. Malo and Dani or Chai will be here some Thursday afternoons. Cali will be here June 4th at 3:00 pm and July 2nd at 2:00 pm. Check the online calendar at richland.lib.wa.us for more info. Young Writers Group: Design a Writing Game Monday, July 16 th at 6:00 pm 2 nd through 5 th Graders We will be examining the elements and using them to design a writing game that participants can use later to create a story. Leap into Science: Exploring Balance with Preschoolers Tuesday, July 24 th at 6:00 pm Public Art Sketch Walk Wednesday, July 25 th at 10:00 am Meet at the Tree of Seasons sculpture in the Parkway. There will be a short walk highlighting art in the Parkway and John Dam Plaza followed by time to sketch. Bring your own supplies or borrow some of ours. Be sure to turn in a sketch to be included in the fall art display.

Last year we found rocks other people had hidden when we were hiding ours.
