2 New for the season not 1 but 2 new QUADS lifts! If you are looking for a premier winter experience, Beech Mountain Ski Resort is the place. Located at Beech Mountain, North Carolina, Beech Mountain Ski Resort is the highest ski destination in the Eastern U.S. Beech Mountain Resort offers skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, and tubing. It offers 17 slopes on 98 skiable acres with a variety of trails for all ability levels. The season brings a plethora of upgrades. One of which is the installation of two new chairlifts to the mountain. The additional lifts will decrease travel time, increase capacity to summit, and increase riding comfort. Additional improvements include added snowmaking machines and 115 new slope lights.

Plus, rentals are only $10! This special applies to Avery, Ashe, Watauga, Mitchell, Carter, Washington, and Johnson County students and teachers only. With breathtaking views, it s a great location that provides for extra-long tubing runs, and offers convenient access to ice skating, shopping and dining in the Resort Village. With chutes up to 700 feet in length, all ages can enjoy an exhilarating ride. Our tubing area is serviced by a carpet conveyor, which transports riders quickly to the top! 11 Tubing Requirements Must be 42 or taller to ride. All tubing participants must have a ticket. No ski boots allowed in a tube or on the tube run. Only one person per tube. Tubing participants must be seated in the tube, while riding down the tube run. Make sure the lane is clear prior to starting down. Exit in the lane you ride. Do not cross lanes or go behind the netting/ fencing, as you exit the tube run. No alcohol allowed. No impaired person is allowed to participate in tubing. One must know how to load, ride, and unload safely when using the tube run lift. All tubing participants are required to drag their feet to slow down as they near the end of the tubing run. Tubing may be hazardous. There are risks associated with this activity including, but not limited to: changing weather and surface conditions, speed and falling from the tube, slipping or falling while walking on the tube run area, collisions with others as well as natural and man-made objects, and the lack of control of speed and direction. By purchasing a tubing ticket, one assumes the risks and the risk of any injury related to this activity.

20 Your Responsibility Code Skiing is enjoyed in many ways. At ski areas you may see people using alpine, snowboard, Telemark, cross country, or other specialized equipment such as that used by disabled or other skiers. Regardless of how you decide to enjoy the slopes, always show courtesy to others. Be aware that there are elements of risk in skiing that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce. Observe the code listed below, and share with other skiers the responsibility for a great skiing experience: Always stay in control, and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects. People ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to avoid them. You must not stop where you obstruct a trail, or are not visible from above. Whenever starting downhill or merging into a trail, look uphill and yield to others. Always use devices to help prevent runaway equipment. Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas. Prior to using a lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride, and unload safely.

21 Freestyle Terrain Freestyle Terrain may include half-pipes as well as terrain parks and terrain features. They are provided for your enjoyment and offer adventure, challenge, and fun. However, freestyle terrain use like all skiing and riding exposes you to the risk of serious injury. In jumping and using this terrain, you assume the risk of serious injury. Be courteous and respect others. One user on a terrain feature at a time. Never jump blindly use a spotter when necessary. Look before you leap! It is your responsibility to control your body on the ground and in the air. Always clear the landing area quickly. Always ride or ski in control within your ability.
