MOVIE - THE GLASS CASTLE A young girl comes of age in a dysfunctional family of nonconformist nomads with a mother who's an eccentric artist and an alcoholic father who would stir the children's imagination with hope as a distraction to their poverty. Based on a memoir, four siblings must learn to take care of themselves as their responsibility-averse, free-spirit parents both inspire and inhibit them. When sober, the children's brilliant and charismatic father captured their imagination, teaching them physics, geology, and how to embrace life fearlessly. But when he drank, he was dishonest and destructive. Meanwhile, their mother abhorred the idea of domesticity and didn't want to take on the work of raising a family. 3
4 BOOK NOOK NO MAN'S LAND --- David Baldacci. Special Agent John Puller, combat veteran and the army's most tenacious investigator, is back in this book. Two Men, thirty years.l John Puller's mother, Jackie, vanished thirty years ago from Fort Monroe, Virginia, Paul Rogers has been in prison for ten years. But twenty years before that, he was at Fort Monroe. One night three decades ago, Puller's and Roger's worlds collided. Military investigators, armed with a letter from a friend of Jackie's, arrive at the hospital room of Puller's father, a legendary three star general now sinking into dementia and reveal that Puller Sr. has been accused of murdering Jackie. Puller begins a journey that will take him into his own past, to find the truth about his mother. Please initial, date and return for others to enjoy.
