Hercules Avenue Clearwater, FL 3365 Clearwater, FL Pool Specs: Deck Changing: Type of Meet: Timing System: Entry Fees: Spectator Fee: Meet Host: Eligibility: One 25 yard indoor pool with a maximum of two eight lane racing courses, having a minimum depth of 5 feet and non-turbulent lane lines. A buffer lane is provided with multiple lanes for continuous warm-up or warm-down. Backstroke Ledges are not permitted in High School Swimming. Changing on deck is PROHIBITED by FHSAA rule. 25 yard Short Course High School District Championship Timed Final format. Meet Management may opt to use fly-over starts at this competition. Electronic timing system with scoreboard, manual back-up watches-computer Scoring. (We will be running 8 lanes and per FHSAA, it will be Timed Finals) None. We will prorate any loss among all district schools. $ 7 per person All swimmers submitted on each team s District Meet entry list (FHSAA forms SW1- SW2) Meet Times: Warm-ups: Begins at 2:30pm- See Below Swimming Begins: 4:00 pm Diving See Attached Warm-ups: Warm-ups will be divided into two times; 2:30 3:00 PM 3:00 3:30 PM 3:30 PM Coaches and Captains meeting. Block Starts and general warm up from 3:30-3:50pm Order of Events: Girls Boys Medley Relay Freestyle Individual Medley Freestyle Butterfly Freestyle Freestyle Freestyle Relay Backstroke Breaststroke Free Relay Diving 24 Note- Diving will be held separately and will not show up in the order of swimming events. A 15 minute break after the 50 Freestyle.

2 Scoring: Individual: 20, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Relay: 40, 34, 32, 30, 28, 26, 24, 22, 18, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 Awards: Entries: Girls Team Champion and Runner-up. Boys Team Champion and Runner-up Official Entry List must be submitted by Monday, October 22, 2018 to Rich Batchelor via Batchelorr@pcsb.org All entries with times ( SW3 forms or Hy-teck file ) must be submitted via by Wednesday, October 24 th, 2018 by 8 PM to: Eva Gronke eva@fastswimresults.com A student athlete whose name was not originally submitted on the official entry list is not eligible to participate in the Conference Meet until the addition of his or her name is approved by the Meet Referee & Administrative Referee. Each team is allowed 4 swimmers per event; each athlete shall be limited to 4 events, no more than 2 of which may be individual events. Follow all rules of the NFHS rules book and the FHSAA Swimming & Diving Manual. Each contestant shall be limited to a maximum of 4 events. Relays: Scratches: Declared False Start: Failure to Compete: Any swimmer on your Master Entry Form ( SW3 or Hyteck file ) may be eligible for a relay. Prior to the start of the relay events, you must turn in your relay card listing your relay swimmers. Relay card must also designate the name of the lead-off swimmer who actually swims in the lead-off position. You may list up to 8 swimmers. Remember: You MAY NOT scratch a swimmer from an individual event in order to swim an additional relay. A contestant once officially entered, shall compete in all races. A scratch is the withdrawal of a competitor from the remainder of his/her events in the meet. A contestant who is entered into an individual event in the FHSAA State Swimming & Diving Series on any level and is later scratched form that event will be disqualified from participating in all remaining events in that meet as an individual on succeeding levels in the event. During Florida High School State Championship Series events, No declared false starts are permitted. A competitor who fails to compete in an event in which he/she has officially entered, shall be disqualified from further competition unless the failure to compete is due to a medical reason, certified by an appropriate medical professional and declared to the Meet Referee in advance of the event. The competitor shall not be disqualified from events for which he/she has previously qualified. Please provide the name of your volunteer timers to Niki nicci1018@me.com by Sunday, October 28th. ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST BE AN APPROVED VOLUNTEER PRIOR TO THE MEET. IF THEY ARE NOT AN APPROVED VOLUNTEER WITH PINELLAS COUNTY SCHOOLS THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE ON DECK THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING. Only athletes, coaches and Pinellas/Pasco County Schools registered volunteers will be allowed on deck. Wristbands will be issued. Diving Sheets: Divers must be listed on the school s Master Entry Form. Please to me (williamsda@tampabay.rr.com) each diver s dive list in order, noting which dives are voluntaries. I need dive numbers, divers name, grade, and M or F. Please have this to me by Tuesday, October 30 th. Please bring to the meet two signed and completed dive sheets for each of your divers. Changes may be made to the sheets until 3:15pm on the day of the meet. Questions can be directed to Dave Williams at The two dive sheets should include the following: 1. Dive number 2. Written description 3. Position 4. Degree of difficulty 5. Order in which dives will be attempted Order of Completion: Preliminary Round: 2 voluntary dives and 3 optional dives Semi-final Round: 2 voluntary dives and 1 optional dive Final Round: 1 voluntary dive and 2 optional dives NOTE: Each optional dive MUST represent ALL 5 diving categories; no minimum total degree of difficulty for optional dives for entry into the meet; degree of difficulty for all dives listed in the NFHS Rules book.
