Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center 5310 E. 136 th Ave. Thornton, CO Elevation 5,351' Facility: Indoor, 50 meter, 10 lane pool. water depth measured for a distance of 3 feet 3 ½ inches (1.0 meter) to 16 feet 5 inches (5.0 meters) from both end walls. We reserve the right to run the meet in 9 lanes with no buffer lane and a warm-down lane or 10 lanes depending upon entries received. The competition course has been certified in accordance with c (4) Rules: Current USA rules will govern the procedure of the meet. The meet referee will be the final meet authority. The meet will be preseeded, and all events are timed finals. The use of cell phones or any cameras are prohibited in the locker rooms. No on deck photography from behind the starting platforms Deck changing is prohibited. Operation of a drone, or any other flying apparatus, is prohibited over the venue (pools, athlete/coach areas, spectator areas and open ceiling locker rooms) any time athletes, coaches, officials and/or spectators are present. At a sanctioned competitive event, USA Swimming athlete members must be under the supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during warm-up, competition, and warm-down. The Meet Director or Meet Referee may assist the swimmer in making arrangements for such supervision, but it is the swimmer s responsibility to make such arrangements prior to the start of the meet. Rules Cont: Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming

2 member-coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. Parking: Timing: Eligibility: In the event that the parking lot at the VMAC fills, there is additional parking across the street at Horizon High School. Cars that park on the dirt or grass immediately adjacent to VMAC face possible towing. Colorado Timing System with touch pads at one end and buttons on the far end. There is an electronic scoreboard with a 10 lane read out. Cudas will provide the large majority of the timing volunteers, however we reserve the right to ask visiting teams for some help. Timing assignments will be ed no later than Tuesday, May 1. Open to all swimmers registered to invited teams or training unattached with invited teams holding a 2018 USA Swimming membership. Age as of May 4, 2018 will determine the age group. Per USA Swimming rule 302.4, Colorado Swimming Inc. will impose a fine of $150 per swimmer who shows up on the post meet registration check charged to the team account. Teams will receive one Meet Recon as a reminder to register the swimmers. As soon as the post meet registration check is run the team will be charged. Entry Fees: $6 per event, $9 pool surcharge per swimmer. $0.75 of each individual event will go to the CSI support fund. $0.25 of each individual swim will be donated in Steve Drozda's name to: Judi's House 1741 Gaylord St. Denver, CO Judi's House gives children and teens age 3-24 the opportunity to participate in support groups with children their own age who have had similar experiences relating to death loss. Entries: The preferred entry method is via Hytek software to Lseckinger@aol.com. We will limit the meet to comply with the four hour rule for 12 & under swimmers. Each swimmer may enter a maximum of three events per day and a total of seven events for the meet. payment to the Front Range Barracudas no later than the conclusion of the meet. The meet referee reserves the right to insert breaks during the competition in any session where it is deemed not to have sufficient rest for the athletes. Deck entries will be accepted based upon lane space. Deck registrations will not be accepted. All events will be $6, plus each athlete will be charged the $9 pool surcharge if they are not already registered in meet.

Please review them and any changes or concerns to Linda Seckinger by Monday, April 30 at 9pm. The Will be made available via PDF for print out at home of access via your tablet or phone. They will be posted on teamcudas.com and mailed to coaches the week of meet for dissemination to their team. Qualifying Times: Friday's events will have time standards to ensure a timely session. Please adhere to the time standard for these. Host team is exempt from these standards. 400 Free: Timers will be provided for the 400 Free on Friday. 400 Free will not be seated until positive check-in the day of the swim. It will be swum slowest to fastest alternating girls/boys. Positive Check-in: Positive check in for events 3, 4, 5 & 6 in the PM session on Friday. Positive check-in for events 3 5 & 36 and 65 & 66 in the PM sessions on Saturday and Sunday. Warm-ups: Lane assignments will be ed out no later than Tuesday, May 1. Coaches will be responsible for monitoring their swimmers during the warm-up period. Starts may only be practiced with one way swimming. Following all CSI warm-up procedures is mandatory.

4 Awards: Results: Concessions: Ribbons will be awarded to the top 10 in each age group for 10 & Under & & under swimmers participating in open events that are also offered in their age group, will not receive an award for that event. Results will be ed to participating teams once the meet has concluded. Full concessions will be available. Coaches/Officials: All coaches and uniformed officials must display their USA/CSI cards when on deck. Current certification is mandatory. Deck Pass is acceptable proof of USA Swimming membership. Coaches that are in non-compliance will not be allowed on deck. A coaches meeting will be held 15 minutes prior to the start of the Friday afternoon warm-up.
