The meet is set to begin at 4 p.m. THE MEET This will be the 38th meeting for the two EAGL competitors. Pitt enters the meet with a 2-3 record after competing at Ohio State and a five-team meet at George Washington, while New Hampshire is 3-1 this season. SCOUTING THE WILDCATS New Hampshire has seen success early this season. Their team scoring average ranks them 25th in the nation, tied with George Washington. Picked second in the preseason polls, New Hampshire top returners include members of the All-EAGL First and Second Teams Erika Rudiger, Kelsey Aucoin, Meghan Pflieger, Adrienne Hill and three-time All-EAGL First Team competitor Kayla Gray. Standing out for the Wildcats is Meghan Pflieger, who was named the EAGL Gymnast of the Week after her performance in the teams win over Yale last weekend. The sophomore set personal-best scores on floor exercise (9.925) and all-around (39.325) capturing victories in each event. This was Pflieger s third career EAGL weekly award. SEARCHING FOR VICTORY Pitt will compete for their first EAGL win on Saturday. 4 Leading the Panthers is junior Miya Dotson who was the only Panther to capture an individual event win at the five-team meet at George Washington. She scored on the uneven bars, tying her career high which she set while at Western Michigan. Other top competitors for Pitt include Tracey Pearson and Maebelle Pacheco who both scored on vault. Lindsay Offutt also had an impressive weekend as she finished with a on bars recording a new personal career high. ON TO THE NEXT Following New Hampshire, Pitt will travel to Kent State on Jan. 30 for a 7 p.m. match-up with the Golden Flashes. LEADING THE TEAM Juniors Lindsay Offutt and Tiara Chadran will serve as the team 2015 SEASON NOTES 2015 EAGL RANKINGS (As of January 20) UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH GYMNASTICS captains for the 2015 season. While Offutt has competition experience, Chadran made her competition debut against Ohio State. INJURY REPORT Pitt has a total of 17 gymnasts on the roster this year but will only field six juniors, three sophomores, and four freshmen during competition in The panthers lose four due to injury including juniors Jacqueline Lucci and Nicole Pearson along with seniors Haley Bodenheimer and Haley Sedgewick. 29 SEASONS AND COUNTING Head coach Debbie Yohman is set to begin her 29th season at the program s helm. 14 UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH GYMNASTICS HEAD COACH DEBBIE YOHMAN Debbie Yohman enters her 29th season as the head coach of the Pitt Gymnastics program. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed many individual record-breaking moments and tremendous team accomplishments. Coach Yohman has worked tirelessly for nearly three decades to help mold the young women from this university into fierce competitors and productive members of society. 15 UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH GYMNASTICS ASSISTANT HEAD COACH ROBERT DRASS University of Pittsburgh 2014,-15, Assistant Head Coach Robert Drass joins the Panthers in 2014, as the assistant head gymnastics coach. He has over 27 years of top-level gymnastics experience, both as an athlete and a coach. 16 UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH GYMNASTICS ASSISTANT COACH TERRY KARWOSKI University of Pittsburgh 2013,-14, Assistant Coach Served as the primary vault and floor coach Terry Karwoski enters her sixth season as an assistant coach for the Pitt gymnastics program. The former two-time MAC Coach of the Year acts as the primary vault and floor coach and brings a wealth of experience to the Panthers coaching staff. Karwoski has proven to be a vital part of head coach Debbie Yohman s staff and looks to continue to build upon previous success in the upcoming year.
