2 Who s Who Welcome Good evening and welcome to Hanwell Town FC for the 2017/18 season Under 16 Cup Final which sees Ruislip Rangers take on Hadley Youth. On behalf of everyone here at Middlesex FA, I d like to start by congratulating both teams on reaching today s final. We also congratulate our match officials who have been selected for this prestigious appointment in recognition of their work during the season and their commitment to Middlesex Football. A special welcome to today s Guests of Honour, Middlesex FA Finance Director, Steve Grover and Ashley Thornley daughter of the late Graham Rigby. We are delighted that both Steve and Ashley will be joining us today to meet the teams before kick-off and to make the cup and medal presentations at the end of the match. If the scores are level at the end of 80 minutes of play, there will be 20 minutes extra time. Should scores still be level at the end of extra time, the match will be decided by the taking of penalty kicks. Approx 9.25pm: The presentation of the Cup and Medals by Guest of Honour Steve Grover. GUEST OF HONOUR Steve grover Middlesex FA Finance Director Steve lives in Hillingdon with his wife Kay. He has worked in the finance department of a UK-based charity for the last fourteen years. Steve s hobbies include football, cricket, gardening and the theatre. Football is Steve s main hobby and he is a lifelong Queens Park Rangers supporter, continuing a long family tradition. He is a Super Hoops season-ticket holder and has seen Rangers play at over 100 different grounds. Steve is also a member of the 92 Club, which takes him to unexpected places each season as new clubs come into the Football League. Steve enjoys watching football at all levels, from full internationals to the park. He has attended matches at three World Cups - USA 1994, France 1998 and Germany and visited the European Championships in Holland/Belgium and Portugal. During the Euro 96 tournament held in England, Steve attended all the games at Wembley and some 12 matches in all. Cricket is Steve s second sporting passion. Having played the game locally for many years, he is now a member of Middlesex CCC and enjoys watching matches at the Home of Cricket, Lord s. Steve joined the Middlesex FA in June 2011 as Finance Director. He is pleased to be able to give something back to a sport that has brought him a variety of emotions over the years. Player Profiles Ethan Grubb Ethan is our goalkeeper who joined the team at the beginning of the season and has been an important part of the team, always commanding his area. Mark Webb Mark, in his eighth year with the club, is our team captain and is a creative midfielder. Kian Martin Kian is in his third season and is a solid centre back who never shies away from a challenge Ben Higgins Ben is in his tenth year with the club. Not only is he a solid defender but also contributes with his goals. Lewis Crowley Lewis is in his eighth year with the club and is a rock solid defensive midfielder. Jack O Malley Jack, in his second year with the club, commands and bosses the back line and can also score goals Ryan Morgan Ryan is in his tenth year and is a defender s nightmare - always causing them problems. He can also play on both wings. Aiden Robertson Aiden has been with the team for four years and has cemented the right back position as his own Saif Ahmed Saif is in his first year and is a good addition to the squad. Kieran O Donghue Kieran is in his second year, and owns the left wing. He can deliver a great ball into the danger area. Jayden Sharman Jayden is in his first season with the club and has been the missing link the team needed this season. He is having an amazing season. Jack Neill Jack is in his fourth season with the club and is a solid midfielder and always gives his all. Lennix Kedman Lennox has been with the club for five years and is a versatile player who can play in various positions. James Barnett James re-joined the team at the start of the season and has made a great impact. James is our top goalscorer this season. 7 Zaiver Smith Zaiver has been with the club for two years and is our second goalkeeper. Zavier has the honour of being the Bermuda U18 national goalkeeper. Raphael Azimi Raphael re-joined the team three years ago and plays the on the right wing. He can also play in midfield and is immense in both positions. Jayce Basden Jayce, in his second season with the club, also plays for the Bermuda U18 national team and has been a great addition to the team. Kai Brosnan Kai is in his first season and can do some amazing things when on the ball. He is a joy to watch. Dillon Deabajo Dillon has re-joined the club and is in his second season. A creative midfielder who can also play wide, he also chips in with some amazing goals.

Player Profiles A tribute to... graham rigby The Under 16 Cup is dedicated in honour of Middlesex FA Life Vice-President, Graham Rigby, who sadly passed away last year Graham joined the Council of the Middlesex FA back in 1992 through the Middlesex Youth Football Association (which then became the Middlesex Youth Football Division) where he was a Vice-President as he was also of the Middlesex FA. He held many honorary positions in football such as the Registrations Secretary of the Middlesex County League and was Life President of the former West Middlesex Sunday League. For the Association, he served on the Disciplinary Committee and Youth Representative Committee, where he was the Secretary. He was also a former Chairman of the Adult Representative Committee and held various positions in the Middlesex Schools Football Association. Graham was a retired school teacher and Head of a Middle School. In his younger days, Graham represented Middlesex at cross country, rugby and athletics! He was a keen 9 footballer and former Class One referee (Level 4 in the current grading system) and refereed in several senior leagues and officiated at the old Wembley Stadium for a Schoolboy International, before ill health brought an end to his refereeing career. He considered the pinnacle of his refereeing career as the referee of the Schoolboy International between England and Wales at Ipswich Town s Portman Road Ground.

A level 5 referee, Mark initially began officiating as a parent but hasn t looked back after deciding to become a qualified referee. A level 7 referee, Lee started refereeing in 2001 after his playing career ended. He says that the highlight of his career so far came in being selected as Assistant Referee in a SSE FA Women s Cup 3rd round game. Fourth Official: Colin May Colin is 62 years old and is retired. A level 6 referee, Colin started officiating as he felt it was the natural next step after playing and coaching the game. In 2004, Colin was the Referee of the Year for the Hounslow and District League and Marathon Sunday League. 13
