Approx 12.30pm: The presentation of the Cup and Medals by Guest of Honour, Derek Stevens. 4 GUEST OF HONOUR derek stevens Derek s involvement in football began with a long playing career at Trinity Sports FC, who competed in the Hounslow & District League. It was with Trinity Sports that Derek took his first steps into football administration, as the club s Assistant Secretary. After that, Derek became the Secretary of a youth football club named Maverick FC, which at its peak ran eight teams. He held that post for around 20 years and eventually combined that role with a position on the Management Committee of the Harrow Youth League. In 1987, Derek was nominated to represent the Harrow Youth League on the Council of the former Middlesex Youth FA, which was a separate body until 2000, whereupon it became a division of the Middlesex FA. Derek remained on the Council throughout that time and when the Youth Division became fully integrated into the Association in 2010, Derek became a member of the full Council. Throughout his time with both the Harrow Youth League and at County level, Derek has had a particular interest in disciplinary matters. Although Derek now lives in Swindon, he continues to travel back to Middlesex regularly to serve on disciplinary commissions. It is a measure of his contribution to youth football in the County and the Harrow Youth League in particular that the League bestowed a Vice-Presidency upon him. Derek is married and has two grown up sons, both of whom played semi-professional football - one for Southall and the other for the former Hayes FC. Both also played for today s host club, AFC Hayes, when the club was called Brook House. Derek enjoyed a long managerial career with Unilever and later also worked for Grundon. 4 third currently sit third in league table sylpe Introducing Ashford Town (Middlesex) Juniors 14 Albion 2016 Year formed. Prior to that Staines Albion currently play in the Surrey Youth League Premier Elite pedigree 2017 U13 Middlesex Cup Winners 6 Goal Threat George Sudderick has scored 34 goals in all comps this season, 163 in 100 during his time at the club) long-serving Six of the current squad have been together since U7 level at Staines Albion On the pitch... Player Profiles Shay Honey Shay joined the team last year and quickly established himself as the team s number one. He has worked hard on his goalkeeping all year developing safe hands under the high-ball and excellent shot stopping reflexes. Alfie Gower Alfie has been with the squad since the very beginning. Intelligent, calm in possession and the ability to read the game Alfie has been consistently good all season and a regular in the team. He started life as a right midfielder and has improved for the positional change. He is an important part of the group. Ben Mash Ben is another who has been part of the group from the very outset. He possesses an excellent left foot and has been a consistent performer for the team over the years. This year Ben has applied an excellent attitude towards his football and as a result has made real improvements. James Armitage James or skip as he is known is another who has been with the team from the start. A perennial winner of player of the year trophies James is a model of consistency on the pitch. Good on the ball, strong in the tackle and an excellent reader of the game James is a stalwart of this Ashford side. He is a player destined for very good things indeed. Brandon Sewell Brandon or the general breezes around, orchestrating events in central midfield like someone three times his age. He has amazing football intelligence for someone of his age. An excellent reader of the game and a super passer of a football, the only time he makes a mistake is when his hair gets in his eyes! Charlie Hawkins Charlie has made the position of centre back his own alongside James. Strong in the tackle and in the air Charlie also possesses a deceptive turn of pace which has saved the day on more than one occasion this year. Away from football Charlie also enjoys playing rugby for his school Louie Muldowney Louie or ginge as he is affectionately called by his dad is a midfield dynamo. He is high energy, competitive and possesses a wonderful strike. Louie has chipped in with very important goals this year. Away from football Louie is a keen boxer. Joshua Hodges Josh is a highly skilled and technical left sided player who has had a frustrating season missing a large chunk of it with ill health. He remains an important part of the squad and we look forward to seeing the best of him in the weeks and months to come. George Sudderick George has led the scoring charts for this team and the league for as long as I can remember. Strong, quick and an ability to strike the ball with either foot he has proved something of a nightmare to defenders over the years. Despite his presence George is a quiet and unassuming young man. His achievements away from football are spectacular and include being the U15 national indoor and outdoor athletics champion for 300m. Joseph Neasmith Over the last two years Joseph has struck up a dangerous partnership with George. Excellent with his back to goal he provides the fulcrum to many of Ashford s attacks. This isn t to ignore his potency in front of goal as Joseph has a 66% strike rate for the club. The secret of his success is simple; he has an excellent attitude and works incredibly hard. Any manager would settle for another 10 of him. Away from Ashford he is a season ticket holder at Chelsea and enjoys playing rugby for his school. Adam Rabbitts Adam has been with the team for two years now. Over the course of these two years he has shown patience and an excellent attitude and as 7 a result has improved immeasurably. Adam has excellent left foot which delivers telling crosses. Ethan Hellyer Ethan has been an important member of the team for a number of years now. He provides excellent balance for the team when on the left side and real penetration when he moves more centrally. Ethan possesses wonderful feet and can drift past defenders before delivering fantastic end product. He has represented Surrey in both football and squash and is connected to Chelsea s development squad. Olusegun Kusimo Segun joined the team at the start of the season. He is a combative centre midfielder with a real physical presence. He has improved his game awareness and play over the course of the season and has contributed some very important goals. Ross Hurst Originally from Nottingham Ross joined the team in An industrious centre midfielder with quick feet Ross has proved again and again that he is an important member of the team. Ross excellent work rate regularly forces the opposition into submission; he is our N golo Kante! Away from the pitch Ross is a keen middle distance runner and a member of Walton athletics club. George Bezer George joined the team this year and has proved to be a valuable acquisition. Energetic, quick and highly skilled he has grown in confidence this year and forced himself into the team. He has regularly popped up with vital goals for the team.

Been solid this season, always there to put a last ditch tackle or get a block in. Ben Cook Ben s first season at Sandgate and it couldn t have gone any better. Ben is a fantastic all round footballer. Very technically gifted, started off in defence but he can play in midfield or up front. It also helps that he is a Chelsea supporter. Runs all day and knows where the back of the net is. Daniel Okolo Daniel is a utility player that can play in a number of positions on the pitch. Always smiling, he s full of energy & runs all day, also chips in with the odd goal. Great to have around. Rasham Gordon Tricky winger that likes to get up and down the pitch. Likes to get at defenders and get crosses into the box. Loads of pace and strong in the tackle. On his day can cause anyone a problem. Reeon Cook-Hardy Nicest kid you ll likely to meet but an absolute powerhouse on the pitch. Another player that plays anywhere. Strong as an ox, never shy to put it in when the going gets tough. Pat El Feghali Runs all day and very strong in the tackle. Screening the defence, Pat loves intercepting the opposition play and breaking up play. He leaves everything on the pitch.
