Approx 9.45pm: The presentation of the Cup and Medals by Guest of Honour Dave Fuller. 4 GUEST OF HONOUR Dave fuller Middlesex FA Council Member Tonight s Guest of Honour is Middlesex FA Council Member, Dave Fuller. Dave started playing football at school and was called up to play for Harrow schools before playing in the Harrow youth league for Tansley. He then progressed to the Harrow and Wembley league where he was chosen to play for Northwood in the then Green King League. Dave also ran a Sunday league side for over 15 years in the Marathon Sunday football league. After retiring from playing the game, Dave took up the whistle and started climbing up the ladder to become a class one referee. He has been lucky to referee all over Europe on school tournaments and says the most memorable game he has officiated was Watford FC 1st v Watford FC reserves. As well as being a Council Member for Middlesex FA, Dave has been on the committee of the Middlesex County Football League for eight years. He lives with wife, Alana, Daughter, Mandy, and his son Martyn who is on the ground staff at Arsenal. He also has a Grandson, Chester, who keeps him fit. Dave would like to wish both teams and supporters the very best ahead of this evening s match. a tribute to harry july Harry July. Known to his friends and family as the one and only. Harry was diagnosed with eye Melanoma in 2011, but proceeded to have successful radiotherapy and was given the all clear. For the five years that followed Harry lived an extremely fulfilled life common to that of any man entering their early twenties. This included learning to drive, graduating from the University of Portsmouth with a 2:1 in Criminology, and arguably most importantly: playing football. In August 2016 Harry attended his regular biannual check up, only to learn his cancer had returned. Harry didn t let this put him down in the slightest. He was known to anyone that ever met him as the life and soul of the party, not to mention the main contributor of all jokes and banter. This reputation wasn t tainted in the months to come. If anything it was catalysed, and every aspect of his attitude was inspiring to everyone around him. 5 During that season, Harry scored arguably the greatest goal ever scored by an NPL player - a one touch flick, followed by a volley in to the top bins from circa 40 yards out, the crowd went nuts! In addition, whilst Harry was receiving treatment he was the top goalscorer up until the halfway mark of the season; having played only 150 minutes. To celebrate Harry s life and legacy at the club, the NPL family pulled together and organised a charity match to raise money for causes close to Harry. This day, for me personally and I m sure the majority of people that attended, turned out to be the most beautiful and memorable day of our lives. Almost 500 attended (smashing all NPL attendance records) and in excess of 10,000 pounds was raised! Just a week later Harry unfortunately lost his fight with cancer, but his legacy will live on at the club eternally. There is absolutely no doubt that if Harry was with us today he would be the first name on the team sheet. More likely than not he would go on to score the winner as he did in the youth cup final in We all love you so much H, we ll play with you in our hearts and minds and will do our best to make your proud. Omri and Harry July s NPL Army x

4 MCFL Brothers The team have three sets of brothers playing for them Introducing Harrow Bhoys FC 2016 Year Formed biggest win 10-0 v Barnet & Harrow in 2017 currently play in Middlesex County Football League goal threat top goal scorers in this season s competition with 20 goals On the pitch... Player Profiles Will Blithing One of the younger members of the squad who joined us at the start of the season. Settled very quickly and hasn t taken long to establish himself as one of the best keepers in the league Michael Lynch Joined us at the start of the season, and settled in very quickly. Runs a marathon and a half up the right wing each Saturday Conor Hynes Cultured defender who will also roll up his sleeves and do the dirty work when needed. A fantastic reader of the game, and has a great range of passing Auston Twomey Club captain, from County Cork, Ireland. Operates as a left back or left winger. Will be returning to Ireland at end of the season, so tonight will be a great way to end his spell in London Rory Carolan Defender who is lethal in the opposition box. Very strong in the air, but equally at home with ball to his feet. Older brother to Hubie. Jake Boggins Last season s top goal scorer, Jake is the Bhoys talisman. Very skilful player who can also operate on the right or left. He is the perfect front man George Moriarty Engine room of the midfield. Good on the deck and in the air. Has fantastic shooting ability. Always talking. Usually too much! Liam O Connor Also has an engine. Played rugby and GAA at a high level, but we are very glad he switched codes and joined us at the start of the season. Can also play as a striker, scoring some vital goals this season Champions MCFL Combination Champions 2016/17 6 7

5 On the pitch... Player Profiles Stay connected... Harry Carey Harry won the coveted Players Player Of The Year last season. Our top scorer so far this season. Very fast, skilful player who always puts in a shift Alex Hole Alex joined us at the start of this season and has got better and better with every game. A strong tackler who usually plays in defence but has also played in midfield Liam Sweeney Mr Reliable, Liam is the most committed member in the squad; never misses a training session! Played in a variety of positions but has settled as a CB this season. Match photos from today s game are available courtesy of official Middlesex FA photographer, Chris Benn. The link to all photos will be available in the match report on the Middlesex FA website. Please credit Chris when publishing. Gary Smith The brains of the team! Gary is currently at university in Portsmouth. Plays on the left wing or up front, and is always an attacking threat. Sean Sweeney The formation of this club can in many ways be credited to Sean who was a founding member. A right-sided attacking player who pops up with crucial goals. Older brother to Liam Ellis Wynne Youngest player in the squad, but you wouldn t know it by the way he plays. Fantastically talented with ball to feet but also works his socks off. Will be a big player for this club for years to come. Kevin Lynam Native of Pullough, County Offaly, Eire, Kevin is also a GAA player and a set-piece specialist. A real character on and off the pitch. Plays in defence or goal. George Perring A striker who will always try the unexpected. Joined at the start of the season and can change a game in seconds Hubie Carolan Hubie has played in every position for us including in goal! However, he is a defender firstly and is a key player for us who always leads by example. James Brennan A gentleman on and off the pitch but would run through a brick wall for his team mates. A calming influence on the pitch, who never lets his team down. James Latimer Very quick attacking player who is one of the most popular lads in the dressing room. Has enjoyed a good season, and is getting more dangerous as the games go on. Gavin Kelly Hailing from County Kildare in Ireland, Gavin played at schoolboy level with the Republic Of Ireland. Gavin is a defender but more recently has been deployed in midfield Chris Gilbey Great set piece taker, Chris is an attacking midfielder who has scored some crucial goals for the side. Shane Maguire Vice-Captain who is currently injured. Has an incredible return of goals from midfield. Will be a miss tonight Taylor Wynne Striker who has been very unlucky with injuries. Hopefully he will return before the end of the season. Sam Brown Again a player who has been unlucky with injuries, but has better days ahead with The Bhoys. Paddy Clerkin Paddy will be acting as assistant manager tonight. Paddy is a right-back and was a key component in last year s championship-winning side. 6 Introducing NPL Reserves 1905 Year Formed NPL stands for National Physical Laboratories First team have previously reached five County Cup FIVE finals, losing on each occasion On the pitch... Player Profiles Lewis Gallifent Lewis is an outstanding keeper and has been integral to NPL s success, making some unbelievable saves en-route to the final. At just 17, Lewis uses an emoji instead of a signature but nevertheless is one of the best keepers NPL has seen in a long time and has a very bright future ahead of him. Third best Gallifent at the club behind his brother Ben and dad Chris. Toby Richards A veteran of the club, Toby is having a great season at right wing-back, a position that has only taken him five seasons to figure out that it s his best - as far away from the goal as possible. Rides a Harley because he once watched two episodes of Sons of Anarchy in a row. Dave Collins A solid, composed sweeper who dictates the play very well from the back. His appearances this season have been sadly limited due to an ongoing hamstring injury that he blames on the rest of the team for making him run. Motivates every player throughout the entire match and currently holds the NPL record for fewest amount of distance covered on the pitch. Charlie Grady The only player that can pull off the afro/moustache combo in 2018, Charlie has really impressed in his performances this year. There are obvious comparisons to Graeme Souness but after watching him take a throw-in, he s more comparable to Napoleon Dynamite. Graduates Current reserve team have four players who have graduated from club s junior section Andrew Grant Top goalscorer this season Promotion Candidates team is fighting for promotion this year in the Surrey South Eastern Combined Division

7 On the pitch... Player Profiles Jack Smith Big, strong, commanding defender, Jack is having a great season and has gone from strength to strength. Has a throw in further than half the team can kick it and having just turned 18 is already a better drinker than his brother Ryan. Toby Whishaw A solid defender and a great lad to have in the club, Toby loves a beer and always gets the jugs in, usually before kick-off but that hasn t stopped him from having a great season. If the final goes to penalties it ll be the first time NPL concedes them without Toby being involved. Tan Quddus Can t tackle, header or score, Tan has everything you want in centre-midfield. Keeps the play flowing and passes with composure, has been a mainstay in the team which is down to his excellent form throughout the season and has absolutely nothing to do with him being assistant manager. If the team win, he ll be celebrating with at least three bottles of WKD. Gus Gomez Keen cyclist Gomez has had a superb season scoring freely and providing plenty of assists. Not one to live up to Colombian stereotypes, Gomez went completely missing last season just like his hero Pablo Escobar but is back with a vengeance and could be a game changer in the final. Dan Strong Technically the most gifted player at the club, Dan has superb ability on the ball and a range of passing capable of splitting defences open. He s a huge Spurs fan, so here s to hoping he finds out what it s like to actually win a trophy. Matt Robbins In his first season at NPL, Robbo has impressed hugely putting in man of the match performances on several occasions. Can score with his left or his right, we re still not sure which foot is Robbo s strongest or what his actual name is. Sulman Khan After making the difficult decision to leave One Direction, Suli has been prolific in front of goal. He possesses one of the best touches you ll ever see and can create magic from nowhere. Nathan Brook Nathan has a huge amount of ability and a right foot so good that he could open a tin of beans with them, which is ironic given that he probably doesn t know how to open one with his hands. Great vision and strong on the ball. composure on the ball and if he wasn t such a nice lad we d give him a lot more stick for wearing a gumshield. Omri Kedem Omri is hard-working, quick and has bags of energy. He s a very popular member of the club, initially due to his missus but now because he s actually well alright. Massive Jamiroquai fan. Andrew Grant Known as AG after his initials as well as Absolutely Ginormous which refers to his heart as he is one of the nicest guys you could meet. Consistently NPL s top goalscorer and a HUGE threat in front of goal. Nathan Busuttil Nathan has such quick feet and speed that neither he nor the defenders know what s going to happen. On his return to the team he scored four times in 20 minutes and is more than capable of repeating that in the final. Best beard in the team. Luke Packwood Graduating from the NPL youth team, Luke has impressed this season, has a superb delivery and will not shy away from a tackle. In an injury-plagued season, he most recently faced two weeks out after cutting himself shaving. Josh Coe Social media star Josh has had limited appearances due to filming himself on all the snapchat filters but has made excellent cameo appearances for NPL this season and is a real threat from set pieces. Great lad Meet the officials Referee: Conor Griffin Conor is 24 years old and is studying for a Master s Degree in Sport Management at UCFB Wembley. A level 4 referee, Conor has been officiating for nine years and operates on the Spartan South Midlands League as well as Contributory Leagues. Conor says that the highlight of his refereeing career so far is his appointment as Assistant Referee on the Isthmian League Cup Final last year. Assistant: Callum Parrish (left picture) Callum is 20 years old and is a University Student. A level 5 referee, Callum started officiating after being recommended to the course by a teacher at his school. Callum says refereeing in the Iber Cup for the past three seasons is the highlight of his career so far. Assistant: Michael Plumridge (right picture) Michael is 24 years old and works as a Landscape Gardener. A level 7 referee, Michael started officiating at age 18 due to an injury that stopped him playing the game. Michael says that the highlights of his career so far include gaining promotion and officiating in three County Cup Finals (this will be his fourth). Brad Fidler Arguably one of the best ball players in the squad, Brad rarely loses possession. For such a young player he shows great with a lovely watch Fourth Official: Alfie Futerman Alfie is 17 years old and is a student. A level 7 referee, Alfie started officiating as he d always enjoyed football but couldn t develop a career in playing the game. The highlight of his career so far was officiating in the U15 Premier League.
