Below are some important points to make your Championship experience more enjoyable. Parking/Arrival When arriving at Koligian Stadium please be aware that there will be multi parking lot space for all school bands. The parking lot will be as seen on the map attached. You will have a guide for each band as you enter the parking lot. Your guide will take you to your exact spot. Check In Check in will be located by the entrance gates near the stadium. Please use the map to find the exact location. At check in your will receive all of your pit passes, student wristbands. When going to perform, your students do not need to be wearing wrist bands. Any performer in uniform will be admitted through the performer entrance gate with your group. All pit crew/non uniformed personnel will need to have a wrist band or a staff pass in order to be admitted.

2 Changing Facilities The boys and girls locker rooms will be open and available to you for changing. The locker rooms are located just south of the south gym in the center of campus. Please have adult supervision at all times in these facilities. Please instruct your students not to leave any personal items in the locker rooms. Clovis Unified School District is not responsible for any lost/stolen items. Restrooms There are restroom and port a potties in the Stadium and near warm up areas. Locations can be found on your map. Warm Up Koligian Stadium has specified areas for warm up. Please refer to the site map to see what zones are Silent vs. Warm-up Zones. Stadium Entrance/Exit Please refer to the flow chart attached. Groups will enter the stadium from the Main Entrance of the stadium and exit from the same area. Pit and Pit Crew Please refer to the stadium flow chart to see the pathway for the pit. Ticket Prices Single Wristband Good for Both Days $20.00 for Adults $15.00 for Students/Senior Citizens Children six (6) and under are free (NO CHECKS OR CREDIT CARDS AND NO REFUNDS) Hospitality The hospitality room will be located near the band entrance to the stadium. You must have a staff pass in order to get into the hospitality room. Please feel free to stop by for a warm beverage and snacks. Snack Bar There will be a first class snack bar available. The menu is located below. Band Pictures WBA is asking that ALL bands stop for pictures on the way back to the parking lot. The photographer is very professional and will have you in and out in no time. Student & Chaperon/pit pass crew Seating Area ALL students and Chaperon/pit crew will sit on the away side of the stadium. Concessions and restrooms will be located on the away side for them to access.

3 Tri Pods, Food, & Ice Chests Please help WBA by reminding your parents in advance that no tri pods, outside food, or ice chests will be allowed into the stadium. Awards For Prelims, awards will be a drum major, captains, and seniors only retreat. Finals will be a full retreat with all members in full uniform. AWARDS FOR CLASS CHAMPIONSHIPS (Saturday) Class Champion Medals to the winning band Class champion banners will be presented to each of the class champions 1st, 2nd, 3rd place trophies & caption awards will be presented in each class. WBA Championship 2013 patches have been sent to each school for all students who participate on Saturday. Problems Inevitably, problems will arise. If you have any issues on the day of the show, do not hesitate to contact us. We are available to solve any issues or answer any questions. For questions on the day of the show please stop by the Volunteer Check-In table located on the map and someone will contact an Event Coordinator Rain Plan Please see the following page for the detailed plan.

4 WBA Championship Weather Procedure Plan A- Conditions Normal Normal format and competition procedures. Field, weather, and facilities will be in suitable condition for all bands. 2 venue sites 2 day format o Saturday- Class Championships: 1A/2A/3A Class Championship at one site. 4A/5A Class Championship at separate site. o Sunday- Grand Championships: All at one site Top 15 1A/2A/3A Bands Top 15 4A/5A Bands. Grand Championships results will be announced. Plan B- Moderate Weather Conditions Rain leading up to, or on day of competition. If conditions are potentially not suitable for all bands: Normal 2 day format stays in effect. WBA will provide covered areas for Pre-stage and warmup only. Pits who choose to use covers or pop-up tents must provide their own. If both sites have turf fields, competitions will continue as scheduled. If one venue has a grass field, venue may change to another pre-booked turf venue, but schedule will remain the same. Timing/Penalties will still be in effect. Show Coordinator may call plan B into effect with approval of the Executive Board by 5pm, Friday evening leading to the competition. Notification will be sent via text, , and website. Performing will be left up to the discretion of the unit s director and staff. If the 2 nd day rains out, then class championships will stand in effect with no Grand Championship. (Plan C) Plan C- Severe Weather Conditions Complete rain out. 1 day plan. Any weather conditions that do not allow for safe outcome for performers: 1 day format; taking place either Saturday or Sunday. Location of performance venue within region, and day of performance may change based on weather conditions. Performance order will remain the same, but times may change. WBA will provide covered areas for Pre-stage/Warm-up only. Pits who choose to use covers or pop-up tents must provide their own. Class championships will stand in effect with no Grand Championship. Notification will be communicated on Friday to the membership if Plan C may tentatively go into effect by 5pm, Friday prior to competition. Show Coordinator may call Plan C into effect with approval of the Executive Board no later then 5am the morning of competition. Notification will be sent via text, , and website. Performing will be left up to the discretion of the unit s director and staff. Plan D- Natural Disaster: Cancellation of Competition
