We are sure your stay will be pleasant and we wish all of your groups the best of luck and a good show. Date: Saturday, October 12, 2013 Gates open at 3:45PM Start Time: 4:25PM Location: Gilroy High School Stadium (Garcia/Elder Sports Complex) Ticket Prices: Admission $8 Military service members in uniform - FREE Children under 5 - FREE Preferred parking in the Princevalle lot: $4 Directions: From areas around the Bay Area: take US 101 north or south toward Gilroy, Exit 10 th Street and head west (left if traveling north, right if heading south), continue on 10 th Street to Princevalle Street. Please see attached map for your designated parking area. From the Valley: take Hwy 152 west. Follow the signs into Gilroy; Hwy 152 will become 10 th Street as you cross US 101. Continue on 10 th Street to Princevalle Street. Parking for busses will be scattered around campus and spectators can park in the lot off of 10 th Street free of charge or in the preferred parking lot off of Princevalle which is closest to the stadium for $4. Please see attached map for your designated parking area. Parking attendants will assist your group upon arrival.

2 Upon your arrival: You will be greeted by the Host AT YOUR BUS. The Host will meet you within 15 minutes of your arrival and give you a final packet containing pit passes and any updates regarding your start time. Pit passes are for chaperones assisting in the pit and supervising students and not for spectators entering through the main gate. Performers wrists will be stamped at that time. Please stay at your bus with your band. We will find you. Individual warm-up zones are not assigned. The map will identify open warm-up areas on campus. Performers with their hand stamped and their chaperones, will be allowed to sit in the end zone stands at no charge. Please be aware that sound travels very well in our stadium and students should be asked to be respectful of the performers on the field and keep distractions to a minimum. Please go over the flow chart on the next pages with your pit crew and band. We will mark things clearly. No spectator will be able to enter or exit the performance area via the band entrance/exit area designated on the map. Please adhere to this request. This event is our largest fundraiser of the year and we count on the income from the ticket prices to fund our programs. After performing, all students and parents must enter through the main gates. Only individuals with the WBA Official Pass may utilize the band entrance/exit gate. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please be aware: our field is multi-purpose, so there are many extra lines for soccer and field hockey. The white lines are for football markings. There are also 2 sets of hash marks, the ones closest to the sidelines are the high school hash marks. In case of heavy rain, the show may be performed as a standstill in our gyms. IMPORTANT NOTE: For this event, we will only be using the bleachers on the visitor side of the field and the bleachers provided in the end zones. Shows will face the visitor s side and the adjudicators. Our bleachers on the home side are not usable at this time. Please inform your students and parents prior to your arrival. Thank you for your understanding. The practice field may be used for warm-up until the start of the show at 4:25PM. After that, you may only use the interior of the campus and the grassy areas adjacent to 10 th Street and Princevalle Street for warming up. The areas immediately surrounding the gyms and parking lots will be silent zones and need to be kept clear of groups warming up and stretching so that group can get by easily. Bands will be responsible for taking flash drives to the adjudicators prior to their performance. Food venues will be available for student, staff, and spectators purchases. We rely on this income to fund our programs. Director Hospitality

3 Please consider joining us for refreshments and some relaxation at the Band Directors and Staff only area in the GHS cafeteria. A WBA field pass is required for entrance. Pit Crew Information: Referring to the chart: As Band 1 is preparing to perform, Band 2 is entering the stadium (pit first) from behind the snack bar and stationing themselves well behind the end zone as to not be a distraction. Band 3 is waiting by the gate near P12, and staying to the left. As Band 1 finished their performance, they will stay on the left side of the track, and continue behind the snack bar and into the basketball courts. Band 2 will take the field, and after Band 1 is in the basketball courts, Band 3 can then proceed into the stadium area. We are trying our best to minimize traffic problems with spectators and bands. Please refer to the Google Earth map that will be posted on the WBA website. Have a great performance and a safe trip! 4 Notes regarding band show map. All of these areas are Quiet Zones Pit Pre staging area all pit vehicles and instruments will be here by the pre-staging time. This point is just past the snack shack on the asphalt area next to the track. When the band before your band moves out of the staging area A the pit will move to that area. Point A: This is the point where bands will wait while the band before them performs. The pit crew will be in front of the band on the 4 inner track lanes. Band may be on the inner 4 lanes and the solid area behind the stands. NOTE: The outer 4 lanes MUST BE KEPT CLEAR. When the band is signaled to enter the performance area, the pit crew will head to the Instrument drop off area drop off their equipment and proceed to point B. Point B: Pit crew waiting area. After dropping off their equipment, the pit crew will go past the B line, make a U-turn and park here while their band in on the field. At the end of your bands performance, the pit crew will go back to mid-field, pick up their equipment and continue forward using only the outer 4 lanes of the track C and exit past the waiting band and out. Point D: The exiting band will use the back field track to exit.
