1 ICWL LEAGUE MEETING MINUTES Mnday December 7, :00 pm 9:00 pm WELCOME TO LEAGUE MEMBERS 7:00pm Mike Nichter There will be meetings in Jan & Feb 2016 we will skip March due t seeding mtg fr ICWL Champinship then meet again in April. TREASURER S REPORT We currently have $11, We received $1200 in dues since last mnth meeting We paid $ in IT fees t Brian Martz Snacks fr meeting $ $ Dues Only team still in need f paying dues is Nrth Penn Please nte there will be a $25/week additinal fee fr every week the dues are nt paid. CERTIFIED WEIGHTS Due by Friday, Dec. 11 th 2015 REFEREE ASSIGNMENT Yur club can use any chapter yu want. Just make sure yu are securing referees as sn as the schedule cmes ut t ensure yu have referees fr yur matches. The gal f the league is t have all PIAA referees at ALL matches If yu are the hst team, PLEASE make sure yu have referees fr yur matches Mike Nichter will send Jim Webb the updated schedule Let BOARD members knw if referees are nt shwing up fr matches as this needs t be relayed t Jim Webb in a timely manner. Fees stayed the same $30/per hr. fr 4 hurs/referee Turney - $225/day/referee IF YOU ARE A THE TRAVELING TEAM MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOUR CHECK FOR THE HOST TEAM!! IT SHOULD BE THE SAME AMOUNT EACH WEEK YOU TRAVEL! The fee is $2/wrestler n yur rster excluding 5year lds and 7 th & 8 th graders. SCHEDULING Mike Mc. Mike had the schedule cmplete but during the meeting discvered that he had t rewrk it. Schedule will be ut asap.

2 WEBSITE UATES There are a few teams that need t update their inf. Abingtn, Avn Grve, Cnestga, Kennett, Astn, Interbr, Marple Newtwn, Nrchester, Oxfrd, Springfield, Wissahickn & Octrara All team representatives shuld be encuraging their club members t g t the website fr inf. USA Wrestling Rsters were due 11/30 t ICWL website On 12/4 Brian upladed rsters This week each club will get their shpping cart sent t them t pay fr their USA cards. All additins frm this pint frward until 12/31/15 will need t be submitted t Brian Martz. An additinal shpping cart will be sent t each club that has additins t their rsters. Any additins after 12/31/15 will need league apprval. Caches backgrund checks are DUE Each team needs t add their 2 caches w/memberships t the ICWL website s they can be submitted t USA Wrestling. Each team needs t make sure they pay fr the caches membership even if they already have their backgrund check dne due t their jb ect. Each club MUST have ne f their tw caches at ALL f their events in rder t validate the clubs insurance. If ne f the tw can t be there than the club wuld need t get anther persn certified t cmply. Memberships are yearly unless a member paid fr 2 years. If a club has a wrestler with an injury they shuld g n t the ICWL website t send their claim t USA Wrestling. Each club is respnsible t submit a list t the league f wh is ging t be n yur mat(s) including caches & vlunteers. Caches under 18 years f age d nt require a backgrund check. Brian will pst frm n website that each club can fill ut and submit back t the league. MATCH UPS It was decided by all league members that a call t discuss hw the pairings sftware wrks was nt needed. Hwever, Brian Martz ffered t help assist any team that had questins. A club needs t cmmunicate t the league if they are nt ging t bring their nvice kids n Saturdays. Remember if a kid wrestles as a 4 year ld they will NOT be cnsidered a nvice the fllwing year.

3 Best Practices fr match set ups If yur club is the hst team, dwnlad & save the CVS file n Tuesday fr the teams yu are hsting and send it t the ther teams then make changes. When matching kids up it is k t have a variance f 5-6 punds depending n their weight. A gd general rule f thumb when matching kids up is n mre than 10% f a wrestlers bdy weight. On Thursday nights, clubs shuld nt argue 0 s ther than age & weight r middle schl wrestlers. Whatever middle schl wrestler s shw up the day f the match shuld wrestle their respective weight n matter what their skill level is. On Thursday night clubs shuld be lking fr dd things like a 130lb 8 year ld ect Dn t print the match ups ut ahead f time as there will be scratches the day f the meet. Make sure if yu are hsting that yur club invests in a printer (preferably ne that prints 8-12 pages per minute) t print match ups ut the day f the meet. BEHAVIOR POLICIES Pertains t Wrestler, Parents Caches & Referees Remember yu are setting the example!!st ffense A discussin will take place with the referee 2 nd ffense Suspensin will take place fr the next meet 3 rd ffense Suspended fr the week f practices & meet 4 th ffense Will be remved frm the league An ffender can make an appeal t the bard. Hwever, if a referee thrws yu ut d nt bring it t the league fr appeal. Offenses include but are nt limited t Biting will nt be tlerated A wrestler will be ejected frm the match & the next meet. Pinching will nt be tlerated Swearing will nt be tlerated Punching will nt be tlerated Everyne needs t understand the By-Laws that are psted n the ICWL website SKIN CHECKS ALL wrestlers shuld WASH THEIR GEAR!!! That includes singlet, head gear, shes and any knee pads r braces they may wear. If a wrestler has a skin issue r is unsure if they d, print the skin check frm ff f the ICWL website, take it t a dctr t be checked and filled ut. Make a cpy and give a cpy t a cach frm yur club. ALL clubs shuld be scrubbing their mats befre & after their meets.

4 DUALS COMMITTEE Ordering NEW singlets fr Dual team. There are 6 teams cmmitted t the ICWL Duals ICWL vs VEWL Still need a hst team fr the event. The event will be held between the middle & end f February. It will be a rund rbin turney between East Penn, VEWL, Grape Vine & ICWL. The ICWL Seeding & Vlunteer Cmmittees Chester, Angela & Matt need help fr the ICWL Champinship. Please cntact them if yu can vlunteer. Seeding cmmittee fr ICWL Champinship will cnsist f Duals cmmittee & Bard members. TOURNAMENT INFO December 20 th Battle fr the Belt 1 st place $47/Belt There will be 2 nd & 3 rd place medals awarded December 13 th West Chester will be hsting league nvice duals with 5 mats Nt a club event. (D nt send kids wh have placed in a turney befre). This shuld nly be fr yur 1 s & 2 s. January 2 nd K-8 ICWL Invitatinal Duals will be hsted at Kennett at Malvern Prep. Last year we had 8 teams. This year the league hpes t have 10 teams. There will be 4 mats & 18 weight classes. Tyrant Duals December 9 th & 10 th at Yrk Exp Center. Fr middle schl nly. Cst is $350. Bruiser Duals January 31 st Based upn league finish frm prir year. Wildwd February 5 th, 6 th & 7 th. K-6 ne team PJW s February 14 th Battle f the Bridge Tuesday, February 23 rd ICWL Open Cmmittee members Mat Marin, Chet, and Angela will put things tgether.
