4 Map & Directions to Logan Logan, Utah is located approximately 80 miles north of Salt Lake City, Utah. From Salt Lake International Airport: Take 1-80 East out of the airport to I-215 North, which will turn into I-15 North. Follow I- 15 North to exit 362 (Highway 89-91) at Brigham City. Follow Highway 89 into Logan, where it becomes Main Street. Continue on Main Street until you reach 1000 North and turn right. Continue on 1000 North until 800 East. For the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum turn right at 800 East and it will be on your left. For the Maverik Stadium turn left at 800 East and the stadium will be on your right. 4 P a g e

6 Sports Medicine The Utah State University Athletic Training Room is available for visiting teams to use as needed. Normal hours of operation are from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please let us know in advance if you will need to use the facilities outside of these hours so we can arrange to meet you upon arrival. If you will not be traveling with a certified athletic trainer please let us know so we can make arrangements to accommodate your team. If any athletes will need special treatments without the presence of an ATC please provide a written protocol signed by an ATC or your team physician. 7 Visiting Team Cheer Squad Information If you plan to bring cheerleaders, a dance team, or mascot, please contact our Cheer Coach, Nicole Troumbley, at (435) or nicole.troumbley@usu.edu a minimum of one week in advance. If you plan to bring your band for a football game, please contact Reed Capener (435) no later than August 1st of the upcoming season. For all other sports, contact Reed Capener a minimum of two weeks in advance. Please be aware that we may not always be able to accommodate a visiting band. Football Visiting Team Cheer Squads will be assigned to the cheer box found in front of Section 106. You are welcome to use the space as you see fit, but a maximum of up to 25 cheerleaders are allowed. Bus parking will be on the north end of the stadium, along the red curb on the west side of the Health and Wellness building with the other visiting team busses. Teams are welcome to share changing space in the hallway of the Strength and Conditioning building. Please contact Nicole to coordinate times. Basketball Visiting Team Cheer Squads will be assigned to be in front Section S in the space south of the hoop and the big tunnel. Due to venue restrictions, 6 cheerleaders maximum will be allowed on the floor. Cheerleaders must remain seated until dead ball timeouts, as to not obstruct the view of seated patrons. Additional cheerleaders can rotate throughout the game, but must purchase tickets and sit in those seats until they are on the court. 10 Football TEAM BUS AND EQUIPMENT TRUCK Parking for three (3) buses will be available directly north of the visitors locker room. Equipment truck can be stationed on the west entrance ramp of the Laub Athletic/Academic Complex to unload. Please refer to map on page 19. After unloading, your truck must be parked in the designated parking area to allow service and emergency vehicles access to the playing field. At the beginning of the 4 th quarter you may reposition your equipment truck next to the locker room to reload. PRACTICE TIMES AND WALK-THROUGH If Maverik Stadium is available, teams may schedule a walk-thru practice the day prior to the game by contacting Waqa Damuni a week in advance. The most likely practice time will be after 4:30 p.m. [Please refer to directory on page 13 for contact info] POLICE ESCORT Police Escort is available through Utah State University Police Department. Please contact USU Sgt Travis Dunn for arrangements. [Please refer to directory on page 13 for contact info] CREDENTIALS Visiting teams will be provided with the following passes: 60 Bench, 8 Coaches Booth, and 12 Athletic Director Suite. Unless otherwise arranged, these game credentials will be given to your Sports Information Director or Director of Football Operations the week of the game. No one under the age of 18 is allowed on the sideline during the game. VISITING TEAM LOCKER ROOM The visiting team locker room is equipped with 104 lockers and 14 coaches lockers and is located on the west end of the Stan & Carol Laub Complex (North End Zone). A locker room layout can be found on page 21. Access is gained from the west side of the building. The locker room will be made available to your equipment staff following the Aggies practice at 4:30pm. The locker room will be secured the evening before game day by campus security. On game day, the building will be opened at 8:00 a.m. If you wish to have access to your locker room earlier or secured until a later time, please contact Mike Bair in advance. 11 VISITING COACHES/STAFF/A.D. BOOTHS All visitors booths will be located on level 5 of the West Stadium Center (WSC). You may access the booths by taking the elevators located on the northwest entrance of the WSC. The visitor s locker room includes a training room equipped with taping and treatment tables. Bottled water and ice will be provided in the locker room. An ambulance with paramedics will be stage on site. X-ray technician and emergency equipment are also available. Additional requested can be made through Mike Williams. [Please refer to directory on page 13 for contact info] VIDEO GUIDELINES Gamer position will be on level 5 of the West Stadium Center in room #507. For additional information, contact Bill Garren. [Please refer to directory for contact info] VISITING TEAM SIDELINE The visiting team s designated warm-up and bench areas are located on the south and west ends of the field, respectively. Please refer to the stadium map on page 20 for exact locations. Per NCAA rules, visiting teams will be provided 60 bench area passes, for coaches, trainers, managers, and other personnel. These passes allow individuals in the team area only. These passes will be sent to the visiting team s Media Relations Director in advance of the game. The following items will be provided on the sideline: ice, cups, water, towels, and sideline tables. A graduate assistant athletic trainer will also be available to assist with any needs. Splints and a backboard will be available on the home sideline. We have onsite ambulance and x-rays. 11 P a g e

12 COACH COMMUNICATION AND SIDELINE PHONES Sideline to press box wires are provided for your telecom person to use your own headset system. Wires can be terminated in a variety of ways to accommodate your system. The most common is the RJ45 phone jacks. If you have special requirements for your system, please contact Mike Bair at least ONE WEEK prior to the game. [Please refer to directory on page 13 for contact info] PRE-GAME AND HALFTIME SCHEDULE Pre-game and halftime schedules will be sent to the visiting team Director of Operations the week of competition. PRE-GAME MEETING Pre-game meeting will take place 75 minutes before kick off in the north end zone outside the officials locker room. The meeting will cover general game day management and emergency and severe weather procedures. TICKET INFORMATION The USU Ticket Office is located at the southwest entrance of Maverik Stadium. Ticket sales and public Will Call are located at this office. The Ticket Office opens three (3) hours prior to kickoff and stays open through the end of the game. All gates open 90 minutes prior to kickoff. All individuals over the age of two require a ticket. Disabled access seating is available through the ticket office. Please call the ticket office at ( USTATE-1) to make arrangements. Visitor seating is located in Section 215 on the East side with additional seating available in section 216. Arrangements must be made for seats if your school plans to bring a band. WILL CALL Player Will Call is located at the south gate adjacent to the ticket office. A member of our staff will be available to assist you with distribution of player tickets. Please notify our ticket manager of your need for assistance at least FOUR DAYS prior to the game. 13 PARKING INFORMATION Visiting team game and parking credentials should be requested by the visiting team s media relations director. Contact USU s Associate AD - Director for Media Relations, Doug Hoffman, at least TWO WEEKS prior to the game. Credential requests can be made via (doug.hoffman@usu.edu). Team busses and an equipment truck will be allowed to park in the lot just north of the stadium. You can access this lot from 800 East at the main entrance to the West Blue Stadium parking lot. CONTEST LOCATION All volleyball games will be played at the Wayne Estes Center. Please see directions on page 4 of this guide. The Wayne Estes Center is located directly west of the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum and shares the parking lot. PARKING Your team bus may drop off and pick up at the main entrance to the Estes Center and park along the curb on the north side of the Estes Center/Spectrum. If you have any other vehicles and/or support vehicles please contact DJ Eckman at (208) for passes. Parking will be on a space available basis. 24 Soccer DIRECTIONS Your pre-game warm-up area is the Stan Laub Indoor Training Center. Chuck and Gloria Bell Field is located at 1400 North and 1260 East (approx.). Please refer to the directions on page 4 of this guide. Parking is located south of the soccer field in the parking lot of the Stan Laub Indoor Training Center. POSTGAME SHOWERS Postgame showers are available upon request. Please contact Molli Sorenson at molli.sorenson@usu.edu or if you would like to shower after the match. Please make arrangements at least 1 week prior to the match. Post-game shower locker rooms are located in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. For directions please refer to page 4 of this guide. A manager will be available to assist you to the locker rooms. To get to the Spectrum from Chuck and Gloria Bell Field go left on 1400 North and then take a left on 800 East. Go through the light on 1000 North, and the Spectrum will be on the left side. You may park in the parking lot outside the building. Please see the enclosed layout of our competition arena. ENTRANCE Please enter the Spectrum through the west glass doors by the ticket office. Turn right. Do not go up the escalator. Turn left at the elevator. Follow the corridor to the visiting team area or the Spectrum floor. LOCKER ROOM Locker rooms will be located inside of the Spectrum. A staff member will be waiting upon your arrival to escort you to your designated locker room. PARKING No parking passes are required. Please park in the L-shaped parking lot directly west of the Spectrum. Team busses are required to park along the curb on the north side of the Spectrum. EXHIBITION PERFORMERS Our goal at Utah State is to run a fast and efficient gymnastics competition. We will allow only ONE exhibition performer per event from your team. This performer must compete last in the event. 28 P a g e

29 FLOOR AREA Please keep your bench area neat. Do not sit on judges tables for taping. MUSIC Music levels will be set by our event staff, monitored by visiting team coaches.
