Alan Phillips has held many positions with IMCC over 8 years during which the last year saw no direct involvement with a team. Alan will be sadly missed by the Club. Amanda Hanna will also be leaving the committee after 2 years effort. I wish them all the best and thank them for their contributions. In the same time I welcome Brian Hamilton to the committee and thank him along with our other committee members, Michael, Rod, Allison, Peter, Garry, Stephen, Paul, Raiko and Joel, for their continued efforts in supporting the Club and ensuring the backroom efforts are completed to enable our kids to play cricket each week. Despite a drop in junior numbers this season across the Shire, IMCC remained the second largest Club in the SSJCA competition for season 2011/12. Along with our IN2Cricket participants, the14 junior teams and 8 senior teams of the IMCC gave us good representation of teams across the Shire, which includes a strong representation across the Sutherland Representative teams and Emerging Blues programs.. The Club has a proud history which dates back to 1977 and I would like to acknowledge all past committee members and life members of the club in their efforts for the club over these years, and encourage you to jump on the website to gain a better understanding of the history of the club. Added to this history was the award for Sports Club of the year for the Menai district This must be acknowledgment of the effort of the past committee members. On the park we had many outstanding performances both individually and as teams, while we also had many outstanding performances from the coaches and managers of the teams. Whilst it is all about the players playing the game for enjoyment and development it needs to be recognised that coaches and managers play a huge part in the team. I believe we have a great group of coaches and managers across all our teams from the 16As right down to the 8Bs. This was no more evident in our Premiership teams the 16Bs and the 12Ds whereby the Clubs Fair Go policy was implemented from the first ball to the very last. It was also evident in our other 2 finalists teams the 12Bs and the 10Cs. Congratulations on all 4 teams for making the final and also the way in which you played the game and the season. Congratulations also to all other teams that competed as best they could whilst always ensuring all players got a fair go. 3 Next Season We are always looking for ways to improve the clubs performance and help the players become better cricketers and enjoy their cricketing experience even more, so from feedback we have received during the year, along with what we are currently doing we intend to introduce/trial the following initiatives next season and continue to work with all the associated cricketing bodies to help develop our game in the area. Age co coordinators Updated Grading Policy Increased Specialist Coaching sessions Indoor Bowling Machine access Increases in Primary and BASC centres I trust your experience this season was enjoyable and I look forward to leading the Club into the next season and beyond to uphold the short but proud history of the Illawong Menai Cricket Club. Go the Kook as Thank you Gary Fattore President IN2CRICKET REPORT This year s IN2Cricket program was up on numbers from the previous year with 35 cricketers going around Coachwood Oval every Friday afternoon during October, November and December. The IN2Cricket program teaches the basics of the game and this year we had a record number of girls participate which is a sign of cricket across all ages and formats of the game. As well as under 6 and 7s participating in the program we also have 4 under 10 boys that also gained a lot out of the program allowing them to focus on the finer techniques of the game and allowed them to improve their weekend games. The IN2Cricket program is a great feeder into the BIG weekend cricket that is the next step for a lot of these participants. Others just enjoy the fun activities whilst getting to understand the basics of cricket. Either way it is a great format for under 6/7s to understand and enjoy the game to see if it is a sport that they wish to participate in long term. I would like to thanks the support team of James and Luke Hawksworth, Tim Sherwin, Brendan Fattore, Tahl Hanna, Riley Biviano, and Aaron. A special thanks also to Peter Nielsen, Amanda Hanna and Debbie Fattore for the coordination of the giveaways and the end of season presentation/bbq. Gary Hawksworth In2Cricket Co-ordinator 3

16A TEAM REPORT TEAM REPORTS Season 2011/12 was a very enjoyable one even though we didn t meet our expectations of making the final. Finishing 3 rd was a credible effort although losing concentration a couple of times during the season cost us dearly in the end. We often showed that we were good enough to win the competition, including when we scored in the final match against the minor premiers on a very slow outfield where our score was worth closer to 250. The boys enthusiasm for cricket was excellent throughout the season at both training & matches. Their skills improved continuously and their desire to support & encourage their team-mates was second to none. This team is full of outstanding young men who have done their families & our cricket club proud. 7 of our 11 boys represented Sutherland this season in the SSJCA Watson, Weblin & Presidents representative competitions. In fact, the Under 16s Watson Shield Team won the representative competition with 3 of our boys playing significant parts in the team and Oliver the captain. 4 of the boys played Green Shield, 3 for Sutherland and 1 for Randwick-Petersham. Sutherland went deep into the competition, eventually losing the semi-final to Uni NSW. 2 of the boys also played some grade cricket matches. The 16A s for 2011/12 are:- Oliver Selby (Captain) (Captain SSJCA Watson Shield-Premiers; Sutherland Green Shield)- Whether it be as a key batsmen or bowler Oliver was always reliable in scoring runs or taking key wickets. Oliver captained our team with distinction this year and has finished his junior career with over 1500 runs and 100 wickets for Illawong-Menai. 10

Jonathan Aston: Took 8 wickets at an average of including spells where he made inroads into the opposition s batting or kept things very tight. Jono developed into a fine bowler this year & in some brief innings he scored some entertaining runs. Jarrod Coughtrey: (SSJCA Watson Shield-Premiers; Sutherland Green Shield) - Jarrod s cricketing skills developed immensely this year. His fielding is excellent, his batting has improved to the level where he opened the innings for us on many occasions this year & his bowling, well he s the best offspinner in the Shire- 87 overs 12/169, avg Great season Jarrod. Mitchell Cugley: (SSJCA Weblin Shield) Cuggles is one of the tightest bowlers in the competition. So tight in fact that you ll always see him stretching his muscles throughout the match. Some good batting this year was complemented by outstanding medium pace bowling that resulted in him being an important bowler in the Weblin team. Joshua Fembock: Josh is a terrific player to coach; he gives his all in the field, offers to bat in positions when others are reluctant & always bowls a great spell of left-arm swing bowling. Josh often had the opposition batsmen flashing & missing outside off stump & scored important runs when needed. A very good all round season from Josh. Clayton Gadd: Clayton stepped up when we needed him this season to be an A-grade wicket-keeper. He did a fine job for us with the gloves and scored some patient & important runs during the season. Always fun at training, Clayton s out fielding at training was a highlight of our season together with some tremendous throwing. Daniel Grant: (SSJCA Watson Shield-Premiers; Sutherland Green Shield) D.G. scored 2 halfcenturies this season and gained many starts opening the batting throughout the year. He took 8 excellent catches and played very well at Green Shield level and in 5 th Grade for Sutherland. He was also a great support to the captain & V.C. during the season. Lachlan Hatton: Our most-improved cricketer over the past few years and a deserved winner of the Team Award. Scored a very good half-century against St Pat s and always inspired the team with his excellent commitment to fielding. A very good season from Lachlan. James Hawksworth: (SSJCA Weblin Shield) James is a very good all round cricketer & this was reflected in his performances this season. James claimed the bowling aggregate with 14 wickets, including a wonderful hat-trick, all caught at first slip. His batting continues to show great technique & skill. James will be the mainstay of the 16A batting next season. It s been a pleasure coaching James during the past few years. Nathan Lang: (SSJCA Presidents Team) Nathan is Mr. Consistent for our team. He scored some very valuable runs this season & always threatened the batsmen with his swinging medium pace bowling. Nathan was again one of our inspirations in the field. Congratulations on a fine junior career Nathan. Mitch Selwood (Vice-Captain): (SSJCA Watson Shield-Premiers; Randwick-Petersham Green Shield) As our opening bowler Mitch often bowled too well to take wickets. In the Watson Shield he always took early wickets but the 16A opposition just wasn t good enough to get the nicks. He was consistent with the bat scoring over 200 runs with a top score of 56. Another good season from Mitch. Michael & I wish to thank the parents for being so cooperative, helpful & supportive of the team & both of us throughout the season. It s been a pleasure. Most of the boys will leave junior cricket now. Good luck to all the boys, especially those going on to play in the men s competition or to try out for grade cricket. Thank you to Michael for being a brilliant manager, even stepping up to manage the Watson Shield team in my absence. Finally, thank you to the fabulous committee members who have helped make it a joy for me to coach at the Kookaburras over the past 4 years. Great players, great parents & a great club! 13 16B WHITE (Premiers) TEAM REPORT The eventual outcome for the season (Minor Premiers and Premiers) was a culmination of many years of good training, tuition and support for these boys throughout their time with Illawong-Menai. This year s 16B Whites were by far the best team in the competition, and it showed throughout and finishing with the win in the final. Not one player dominated the 16B competition Honour Board, no centuries were scored, and a bowler only finished with 5 wickets or more three times. However, the balance of the team was exceptional, and the efforts by Rod and Rob, ably supported by Rick at training brought these combined talents together. Every player could bowl, giving no team escape or a break where they could hit out, if they did, we had the best fielding team. Each player could bat. Many great opening stands were followed by solid partnerships. If this didn t work, the tail would wag. In every game (except the one dayer) the team won through partnerships and teamwork. Partnerships batting and bowling, teamwork in the field and at training. It all came together for that one day in March, the final. The final was a gripping encounter. Days of rain prior saw the scheduled field under some water, and thanks to the team parent leadership group, found alternative accommodation at The Ridge. The team rocked up, some say a bit early. However, our opponents were there much earlier already warming up. It was noted that their nervousness was coming through, and they could run flat once into the game. Toss was won by Conor, with the decision to bat first questioned by some, clearly poor judges. The damp outfield would not run well, however the lure of setting a target was too great. The start didn t go as planned, losing two early wickets to have us at 2/0 from 6 overs. However, once Conor and Sparkey joined up, they steadied the ship, and then went on to form a game saving partnership of 73 runs. But then, Conor was out caught, and two ore wickets were uncharacteristically lost for only 11 runs. Again, the partnership element rose to the occasion, and solid efforts from Riley and sundries saw the team post 154. Was this enough? 13

The bowling started well, with Jake and Tim again leading the attack. An early wicket was taken, but the opposition s main batter started to get set. A reactive catch from Paul eventually snared his wicket, and then the house started to crumble. Shrewd bowling changes from Conor helped the steady fall of wickets, but at the break, they were 5/70, almost at half our total. Could they steal it from us? Certainly not! A brilliant piece of fielding from Riley, to rocket a return in from the boundary right over the bails brought about the fall of wicket number 6, and the momentum swung the way of Illawong-Menai. Opposition all out for 89 in over 40.Testament to the balance of the team was the fact that two wickets in the final were from run outs, and 5 from catches. The best team won. Each game was well supported by parents and sometimes grandparents. I would also like to thank Phil for his help with the scoring, and as an overall mentor. He brought many innovations to the scorebook. As stated above, the commitment and energy from Rod, Rob and Rick towards the boys this year was outstanding. Best wishes for the future also to Jake, Paul and Will who all now have completed their time with IMCC Juniors. Thank you for your years of service to the game and the club. Conor Aggett Captain courageous. His efforts in the final were amazing, and showed the patience of an older player. He selflessly often favoured other bowlers this year, despite his ability, and his fielding was inspirational. 10 catches without the gloves. William Blake after an unexpected mid season announcement he would be leaving the club next year, Will made sure he finished the job off one more time. His bowling was always well timed, normally following on from the openers, managing to chime in with a wicket when most needed. Christian Briffa after a slow start, Christian found his groove and tore apart some of the opposition attacks with his impressive swing bowling. Christian returned a 5 and 6 for, and bowled well at every opportunity. Riley Buckley had an impressive season. Always reliable with both bat and ball, he is also the best fielder in the 16Bs. Riley turned the final with a throw from the boundary for a run out. Took an even better 11 catches without the gloves. Jake Cronly one of the formidable opening bowlers, Jake really kept to task all season. He never failed to give 110% at all times, and joined a few lower order partnerships to bring the team total well above where the opposition thought it would finish. His two wickets in the final were well timed and well deserved. Callum Docherty Cal put up his hand to open the batting and was prepared to weather the storm of the opening attack from the other teams. Cal also contributed well with the ball, being a bit of a partnership breaker when required. Always fielded strongly. Paul Francis Paul returned to pace bowling this year, and with his height, often delivered too much bounce for some batters. Solid also with the bat, took a classic catch in the final to start their downslide. Once the opening bowlers finished, Paul ably supported the other bowlers to not give any teams a break. Ben Saunders continued on from his good form with bat and ball from the previous season. Ben often steadied the ship in the middle of the order by building strong partnerships with the others. His innings against Miranda was a highlight. With the team struggling at one point at 5/65. Ben scored a magnificent 53 no and take the total to 8/168. Highlighting his all round status were his 14 wickets fro the season. Timothy Sherwin the other of the opening bowlers, Tim certainly gave his all at games and training. Started the season well, with a 4 and 5 wicket haul in consecutive games, Tim fielded strongly at all times and was never afraid to take on the effort of bowling into the breeze. A couple of strong performances with the bat, he does like to hit the ball hard. Liam Sparke Sparkey lifted this season, mostly with the bat, but his efforts in the field were sensational. Sparkey s innings were always delivered when needed most. His efforts in the final (in partnership with Conor) really put us in a commanding position and it would have been tough otherwise. Hayden Wallis also equal second in the batting aggregate, and as opener, had to earn his runs the hard way. The bowlers in the 16s were that bit quicker and accurate, and Hayden (with Callum) ensured the team were off to good starts. His wicket keeping this year was exceptional, and all the hard work he has put in definitely paid off. 14 Stephen Sherwin (Manager)

16B BLUE TEAM REPORT A tough season for the team with a number of injuries, the unavailability of players throughout the year and the winter weather. This didn t affect the way in which the boys played the game each weekend and how they applied themselves. Well done boys on the team spirit and your efforts throughout the year. Results don t always reflect the performance of the team. Parents, supporters and players were always fair and consistent with the opposition, regardless of where the game was at, and that is a credit to each member of the 16B Blues in 2011/12. The team always came off the ground smiling. The batting and bowling awards were shared among 4 players with a number of others close by, highlighting the evenly matched skills across the team. During each game, one or two players would put their hand up and put in a special effort. On a few occasions, the game was there for the winning, but unfortunately we let them slip. Our batting let us down on plenty of occasions, with our bowling and fielding matching our opponents. The Team Award went to Daniel Reid (Batting Ave 13, 118 runs, High Score of 44, Bowling Ave 15, 13 wickets, 3 catches), for his consistent bowling, batting and fielding efforts throughout the season. Daniel was never too far out of the action, and was one of the leading wicket-takers and run scorers, and always busy in the field. Joshua Barber - batted both up and down the order in some important partnerships. His bowling, left arm over the wicket was accurate and effective on plenty of occasions, breaking partnerships and hitting the stumps often. Daniel Besz - was sharp behind the stumps, taking some excellent catches and played some excellent innings. A solid batsman, who always valued his wicket. James Cachia - one of our leading batsmen who held the innings together on many occasions, with one notable effort where he held the innings together, almost carrying his bat. A stroke player. His bowling was accurate and difficult to put away. 16

Blake Forsythe - missed most of the season due to injury, but showed excellent technique when batting. He could have changed some earlier results if he was available. Very handy spinner who troubled batsmen. Michael Ishak - batted both up and in the middle order, and showed great technique and patience with the new ball. Played in some important partnerships. Bowling was always on the mark which made him difficult to play. The quickest fielder in the team, who chased down plenty of runs. Shreyash Jagadale - one of our big hitting lefties who liked it coming on quick. Good to watch when on song. The angled ball across the batsmen was effective on plenty of occasions. Good gully fieldsman, who took some sharp catches. Peter Lambropoulos as captain led from the front with bat and ball. A big hitting batsman who enjoyed scoring boundaries. Bowled accurately throughout, using his height to full effect, and fielded well in close. Jacob Miller - batted lower in the order and swung hard, with some effect. His innings were short but entertaining. A strike bowler who despite injury was quick and troubled batsman. His slip fielding was exceptional, and took some unbelievable catches. James Nielsen - lower order batsman who played some important innings for the team. His bowling action always great to watch and improved as he found his groove towards the end of the season. One of the quicker fielders in the team. Cameron Rodgers - illness and moving out of area prevented him from contributing towards the end of the season, but always played with purpose and commitment. Batted lower down the order. When bowling, seemed to be able to break partnerships, and a solid fielder with a couple of run outs. Jeremy Youssef - the other of our big hitting lefties, who clubbed a number of sixes and plenty of boundaries. A real crowd pleaser. Great to sit back and watch. His spin bowling was accurate and gave the batsmen plenty to think about, especially when they were walking back to the pavilion. All the best to the majority of the team who head off to senior s next year. A special thanks to Pete Nielsen for his management of the team and filling in when I was away, and to the other parents who stepped up when needed for training, scoring and umpiring. 18 Shreyash Jagadale Peter Lambropoulos Jacob Miller James Nielsen Daniel Reid Cameron Rodgers Jeremy Youssef C TEAM REPORT A very enjoyable season for players, coach, manager and spectators. The common factor at training and matches was that all the team members had a great time being with each other and just enjoying the ups and downs of cricket- some moments of triumph, some less inspiring moments, some great laughs, and some shared tales of x-box, playstation, COD, skateboarding, etc while waiting a turn to bat. Thanks to all the boys for the harmony and hits of the season, and for just being a nice bunch to be around... On an individual note: Brodey Castle a welcome return to the game after 'resting' since the under 10's ; we all hope Brodey continues with cricket into next season and seniors thereafter. Possesses the sweetest cover drive you will see at any level of cricket no exaggeration! Over 100 runs for the season (with a memorable 36 and 23 a glimpse of his batting talent), plus 4 vital wickets, plus some very thoughtful captaincy; it all added up to the news that Brody is back in a big way! 18

Jamieson Cawsey not many young people decide to try a new sport at under 16 level and the team was very thankful that 'Jammo' did!his enthusiasm in the field was infectious and the improvement in batting was noticeable throughout the season; but it was great to see his season 'peak' in the final match against the premiers with bowling figures of 3 for 13 can't wait to see him top this next season! Yevaran Chattergoon one of the most entertaining characters any team could have, and a good cricketer as well! Some inspired bursts of bowling in particular, and his throwing in the field had to be seen to be believed! 3 batting 'not outs' for the season show how he could value his wicket when required. Yevaran will be an asset to any senior team next season both on and off the field, as he was to ours this year. Yashiv Dookie will also be lost to the junior ranks but hopefully will continue in the seniors to play the positive cricket he has this year. His innings of 29 in round 4 was a glimpse of the hard hitting batsman he can be. Together with some tight bowling and committed fielding, Yashiv was a great asset to the team this year and we wish him well in the many seasons of seniors to come. Quintin Dwyer a great season with bat and ball and as our captain as well. His 50 no was as entertaining a display of patience and power hitting as you would wish to see ; and the 11 wickets he took for very little during the season don't tell the whole tale of how terrified some batsmen were of his genuine pace and bounce -including his teammates in the nets! A highly valued all-rounder for his team this season. Lachlan Farrell a very consistent season with the bat; could score runs at a fast rate but also saved a couple of games with some patient not outs that frustrated the opposition. Lachlan's season -top score of 30 was a model of power hitting! He grew as a 'keeper this season, with athletic saves everywhere and four great catches behind. Together with 2 field catches and a run-out, some powerful outfield throwing, and some unplayable spin bowling when required, Lachlan should be very pleased with season Brendan Fattore - another great all round season topped by being highest wicket-taker with 14 wickets and at a measly 14.5 runs per wicket! As batting opener, Brendan was third on run averages and his top score of 47 was laced with scorching boundaries. Three catches in the field added to the team's success and some lengthy stints as 'keeper show how versatile a cricketer Brendan was for the 16C's this season. Jamie Feggans While Jamie gave very few runs away as a bowler (2 nd best average in the team),and his 7 wickets are testament to a great season with the ball, it is all the more of an achievement when he was unable to bowl in 3 of our 8 games this season! Bowling, catching (3) and fielding (1 run out) made Jamie's team contribution a significant one; but few will forget his determined final wicket batting to save us from an outright defeat. Another great season! Thomas Lundie With six wickets, 2 catches, some lengthy stays at the wicket, and a run out, Tom's season was one of all- round proportions. But it was in the field that Tom made the biggest contribution with his always positive attitude and encouragement to all his team mates; Tom is a great example of what it means to be a 'team player' in cricket and I am sure season will be followed by many more for someone who genuinely loves the game! Blake McAvoy a player who should be very pleased with his season -in coaching terms, Blake is what's needed: someone who always listens and tries his best to do what's been suggested. And the benefits were there for all to see some lovely batting shots and solid defence saw him at number 3 or 4 and always doing what was required. His top score of 23 showed his improvement in batting ;but equally his bowling (3 wickets) and catching(3) reflected his great training and match day attitude. A real team player! Pedro Puado Here's someone who knows the value of his wicket: 5 not outs in 10 innings! Together with a highest ever batting score, Pedro can be very proud of his achievements on the cricket field this season. Three catches, a couple of wickets, and some great fielding are markers of a successful year, but it was the realisation that he could score off the best of bowlers that gave Pedro the confidence to succeed this season. Looking forward to season ! Finally a big THANK YOU to Manager/Scorer Rick Farrell for always going above and beyond the call of duty for the team ; and to all our assistant coaches -Graeme Lundie, Gary Fattore, Michael McAvoy, and Pedro Snr, for all their help at training and on match day as needed. Rob Feggans (Coach) 19

The 14A team of 2011/12 was an extremely talented group of young players who fought competitively in what was a competition of an extremely high standard. Despite a number of good team performances, unfortunately our season was interrupted by weather, injuries and other absences which made it difficult to get some momentum on the competition ladder. Perhaps a lack of experience at this level also saw us lose a few tight matches where the result could have gone either way. I m certain the experience gained this season will see that trend change in the future. All up we had 9 players represent the SSJCA with distinction in the rep competitions this year. Well done to all those players. Each and every player in this side is capable of further representation in future years. The season produced some highlights almost each and every week, whether with bat, ball or in the field, with all players proving why they are genuine A grade cricketers. The team was also well supported by assistant coach Gary Hawksworth and manager Paul Burton. My thanks to these 2 guys for their assistance during the year. Thanks also to our scorers Dave, Zoran and Tony, to Greg for his willingness to take on the umpiring duties, and all other parents for their help on game days and at training. The 14As of 2011/12 were: Riley Biviano a talented all round player who also put in hard whether batting in the middle order, bowling his tricky wobblers or taking on the gloves. Brendan Cole a first year 14 who matured greatly through the year and produced some handy innings for the team and found his rhythm as a bowler during the year. Tahl Hanna first time playing A grade, Tahl excelled himself in all facets of the game. One of the best fielders in the competition, Tahl also took on wicket keeping and proved to be a natural. Luke Hawksworth almost 400 runs for the season, including a magnificent century and a number of other half centuries! Not a bad effort from the youngest player in the comp. Well done Luke on an outstanding season. 21

Chris Krklinski another of the younger players who stepped up to the mark when called on. Was rewarded with a good haul of wickets for the year and is capable of further success with both bat and ball in future. Tom Makowiak - always gave 100% effort with everything he did. Tom s enthusiasm in the field was inspirational to his teammates. Produced some very good bowling spells and always fought hard with the bat. Steve Milliken one of our leading wicket takers, Steve is one of the quickest bowlers in the competition. Often beat batsmen with sheer speed and with a little more consistency will be a handful for any batter that faces him. Zane Pratt was asked to take on the challenging role of opening bat and responded with enthusiasm and provided some handy starts for the team. Will benefit greatly from this year s experience and look forward to seeing him as a team leader in his second year of 14s. Jack Thorne as team captain, Jack always lead by example and was a good role model for the less experienced team members. A member of the victorious Moore Shield team, Jack had an outstanding season as a fast bowler and was also one the hardest hitting top order batters in the comp. James Toogood our team player of the year, James was another player who showed great maturity both as an opening bat, as a leg spin bowler and as a member of the team s leadership group. His knock in difficult conditions against St Pats was one of our season highlights. Josh Towell had his season interrupted by injury, but still managed to take more than his share of wickets. Used his size, speed and rhythm to great effect with the ball. His opening spell against Sports late in the year where he beat the bat continuously was something to see! Jacob Williams our most consistent bowler who used his experience to full advantage and was also rewarded with his share of poles. Another member of our leadership team, Jacob displayed a cool head and a great instinct for the game. It was a delight to be associated with these young guys this season. For the boys going up to 16s next year, I wish you continued success. For those remaining in 14s, I look forward to seeing you again next year. Enjoy your winter sporting pursuits and bring on 2012/13. Martin Cole (Coach) BATTING STATISTICS 14A Name Matches Innings Not Out H. S. 23 Thomas Makowiak Steven Milliken Zane Pratt Jack Thorne James Toogood Joshua Towell Jacob Williams C TEAM REPORT A very enjoyable season of cricket. The boys and Georgia were an absolute delight to coach this year, with training always being fun (even in the rain for the last week) and every game was played in a great spirit with a wonderful attitude. Despite a number of results not going our way, all the kids gave 100%, no-one ever gave up and always came off with a smile. Along with having a fun season I hope everyone learnt something and felt that their cricket improved. The stats show that as a team we got better through the season. Many thanks to John and Justin for your help with the umpiring and coaching in my absence and a big thank you to those scored, including Jo, Shelley, Gary, Ian and Jenni. Edward Blake: Eddie showed great form with both bat and ball throughout the season. Eddie was our leading wicket taker for the year, bowling 44 overs, 8 maidens, 10 wickets for 103 runs at an average of 10.3 and batted at every position in the order with a top score of

Chris Busby: Unfortunately we missed Chris for a couple of games this year due to illness. Chris was always solid with bat and ball with his medium pace bowling always on the spot and difficult for the batsman to get away bowling 23 overs, 3 maidens, 5 wickets for 47 runs at an average of 9.4. Jake Coleman: Jake was our Mr Reliable this year. Leading the Not Outs with 5 from 11 innings with the bat, conceding an average of 3 runs an over with the ball and taking 6 spectacular catches and 1 run out. Nidhesh De Silva: Unfortunately we were only able to see the talent he possesses in 5 out of the 10 games this season. With the limited game time Nidhesh still managed to have positive input into the team taking 2 catches. Matthew Downes: Matt was our captain for the season, leading the team with distinction. Matt had the respect of all his team mates and led the team well with some inspirational bowling and fielding changes. Matt also did most of our keeping taking 2 catches and 2 stumpings. Matt spent the most of the season up the top of our batting order with a fantastic top score of 36. Nathan Frith: Nathan showed some great form this season with both bat and ball, scoring a fantastic top score of 32 opening the innings was the highlight of the season. Nathan s left arm medium pacers were always on the spot putting the batsman under pressure and bowling the most maidens, bowling 40 overs, 10 maidens, 6 wickets for 91. Andrew Grose: Andrew was our spearhead bowler for the season, with his right arm fast bowling putting the opposition under pressure from the start. Later in the season Andy developed some well flighted leg spin. These will prove very difficult for opposition batsmen in years to come. Andy also had a highest score of 27 while wickets fell around him against the eventual minor premiers. Will Liston: Will was one of our most consistent fielders all year, taking 3 catches, 1 run out and 1 keeper catch. Will was a middle to lower order batsmen who never gave up his wicket with a highest score of 21. Will s unpredictable left arm spin with a walk-up rather than a run-up often left the opposition wondering what happened. One of Will s balls was described by the opposition coach as unbelievable, where he was about to call a wide only to have the ball spin back and take the off stump. Will bowled 29 overs, 1 maiden, 8 wickets for 104 runs. Georgia Reid: Georgia had a great season with the boys. Georgia had a top score of 56 at an average of 16 and with the ball she mixed it up with medium pacers and some well flighted off spinners. Georgia bowled 37 overs, 6 maidens, 3 wickets for 75. Adrian Scott: Adrian batted up and down our batting order with a highest score of 21 opening the innings against the eventual premiers. Adrian bowled 31 overs of leg spin, 2 maidens, 3 wickets for 101. Adrian also shared the keeping duties taking 1 keeper catch. Curtis Sweet: Curtis had a great season of batting, bowling and fielding. Curtis s highest score of 17 Not Out came against the eventual premiers and bowled 31 overs, 6 maidens, 6 for 82 with a fantastic average of With his deadly arm Curtis also topped the run outs with 2. Jordan Turner: Jordan contributed a lot to the team with his swashbuckling batting, tear away fast bowling, excellent catching and fielding. Jordan topped the batting aggregate with 188 runs for the year and a top score of 48. Jordan bowled 52 overs, 8 maidens, 8 for 138 took 4 catches and 1 run out. The 14c s were a pleasure to coach, thanks to all the players and parents. Mark and Paula (Coach and Manager) BATTING STATISTICS 14C Name Matches Innings Not Out H. S. After 5 games the team had won 4, including an outright. The second half of 25

the season was a bit weaker, winning only 2 out of 5 games. With one game to go in the competition, the team was placed 3rd - 1 point only behind the team in 2nd place. Fortunately, we were able to win our game and the team just ahead of us lost their game to allow us to jump into 2nd place and go through to the final. We had great expectations in the final and hoped that we could put in a strong showing against Carringbah 2 - a team that had not lost a game all season. The start was promising - we had them at 8 for 32 after the first 25 overs. Unfortunately, our batting let us down and we crumbled to be all out for 17. This was definitely a disappointing end to our season after some good wins and strong individual performances. Many thanks to the Coach, David Phillips, Assistant Coach, Raiko Miletich and Manager, Lisa Brandt for their tireless efforts over the season. Also thanks to all the parents who helped with training, scoring, warmups and setting the field up prior to play. You certainly made our season more successful with your work. Noah Bablis: Noah was concentrating on his leg spinning this year and we were looking forward to some good results. Unfortunately, a fractured collar bone put him out for a number of games. He came back for the last few games and put in a great effort with both bat and ball. His bowling, especially in the final where he got 2 for 16 shows that he will be in for a big season next year. Mitchell Brandt: Always happy to help out when needed, Mitchell was our professional 12th man. He ended up playing in 7 of the 10 games and also took 2 wickets during the season. A ferocious competitor in the field and a big improver with his bowling. A big thank you to him for making sure we never played without our full complement. Tim Brandt: Tim was instrumental in us doing so well this year. On the field, you would not find a more competitive player. His work as Captain in many games was excellent and his constant talk and encouragement in the field was notable. His batting was certainly a highlight for the season with an aggregate of 357 runs at an average of 51. His big scores of 127 not out, 98 not out and 53 won games for us. He is also a very strong, quick and accurate left arm bowler - his stats of 3 for 11 in the final among his best figures. Declan Casey: Declan is a player with lots of ability and natural talent. His bowling action is extremely smooth and he would undoubtedly be the quickest bowler in the competition. His work as wicketkeeper on those occasions when we did not want to give away byes was notable. Finally, in the field, he took some brilliant catches throughout the season. Three scores in the 30s and two in the 20s as well as his 13 wickets throughout the season made him a very valuable player. Baden Chant: Baden was always happy to open the batting for us and this led on one occasion to his highest score of 41. Baden's bowling improved throughout the year and by the last game was showing some good pace and bounce. He will continue to improve in coming years with continued dedication and practice. Daniel Miletich: Daniel was by far the most impressive fielder in the team. He is constantly moving in with the bowler and he is always ready in his specialist position deep on the leg side. He saved a huge number of 4s and also took some great catches. The two catches he took in the final were, without doubt, the best classic catches for the whole season. Added to this, he is a solid and dependable batsman with a great technique and a reliable bowler who took a number of wickets and bowled many maidens. 11 Daniel Militetich's in your team and you would be very hard to beat. Corey Miller: There is no denying Corey's enjoyment in being involved in the game. He is always the first to put his hand up to open both batting and bowling. Corey is a hard hitting left hander when batting with a notable score of 30 in one of his innings. When Corey is in the groove with his bowling, he can be very effective. His stats in one game of 3 for 15 after 3 overs were a definite highlight. Callum Norris: Callum was a solid performer throughout the whole of the season. His batting technique was very good and led to some important innings, not scoring a lot of runs, but just keeping his wicket and allowing others to score. His bowling was very hard to get away for most batsman, with slower deliveries and good bounce. Callum was also happy to help out as wicketkeeper where he did a good job. Joel Phillips: Joel missed the first couple of games but then made a valuable contribution for the rest of the season. His highlight would have to be his 2 for 5 off 4.2 overs which included 3 maidens - he was on fire in this game. Also solid with the bat, Joel will continue to improve in coming seasons as he gets stronger and taller. His second year in the Under 12s next year is sure to see more runs with the bat. Harshal Ratnayake: Harshal was a quiet, unassuming player throughout the season. He did a great job as wicketkeeper on a number of occasions and his bowling was also his strong suit. Bowling left 26

handed, he was always able to get a lot of cut on the ball which saw a number of batsman get bowled around their legs. His figures of 3 for 5 off 3 overs in the last game of the season were a great way to end things. Luke Saunders: Luke was the 'Dennis Lillee' of the team. He was one of the quickest bowlers in the competition and he was also extremely accurate. His 15 wickets throughout the season at the cost of very few runs was a great contributor towards our success. He bowled 19 maidens in total out of his 53 overs for the season - a great result. Luke was also formidable with his batting. When he got onto them, he could hit some big sixes. He finished with the 2nd highest aggregate in the team on 194 runs. There is no doubting that he was a major reason we made it through to the finals. Jared Sparke: Jared was a dynamo throughout the whole season. His enthusiasm and zeal could not be faulted and his love of cricket very evident. He has an excellent batting technique and this led to a notable score of 51 not out on one occasion and a couple of other 20s. His bowling improved in each game. He did a bit of spin bowling on occasion and he got some good turn and bounce. This is an area he may want to develop in future years. His happy smiling face was always evident and another year in the Under 12s next year is sure to lead to some improved results. BATTING STATISTICS 12B Name Matches Innings Not Out H. S. 28 12C TEAM REPORT We knew this season was going to be a challenge from the start, put up into C grade with half the boys being either first timers or up from the 10 s. At the start of the year we struggled with our bowling and fielding, playing at Coachwood Oval didn t help, with plenty of balls off the pitch. The batting was a worry too, this was not 20/20 cricket, but 50 overs per side. The holiday break seemed to freshen up the boys, catches being held, run outs with direct hits, patience in batting, and a highlight being a good win over one of the eventual finalists. We were not helped by a series of injuries and having to play short. Thank you to the boys who filled in from lower grades and age groups, particularly Jacob N, and also Michael K, Ryan M, and Terence L. One terrific statistic we had was that every one of the players took a wicket during the season. Also 4 players achieved their personal best score and their highest aggregate runs for the season. A special thank you goes to Julie Parsons and Brooke Beattie, our Co- Managers, for taking on much of the scoring duties, and sending out the texts when the rain was falling. Once again Ethan Bablis impressed with his bowling, taking out the bowling average award, 10 at 10, and the bowling aggregate award together with Josh Parsons. He bowled with good pace and accuracy, and also bowled the most number of maidens in the season. Ethan was also strong in the field, with a couple of run outs from direct hits a highlight. He also grew in confidence with the bat, having some long innings, and playing some great pull shots. Joshua Parsons was the co-winner of the bowling aggregate award with 10 wickets for the season. His natural ball is an in cutter, and when bowled at pace, he hit the stumps of many opponents. He loves to hit the ball hard, but at times also showed good patience when the team was in trouble. An overall terrific year with ball and bat. The batting aggregate and average award went to Simon de Feyter who scored 144 runs at an average of He had a number of big innings, with a personal best of 50 not out, and was able to hold out the opposition attack for long periods. His swing bowling developed well through the season, 28

with many snicks going through the slips. He has been a positive influence on the team with his enthusiasm. Christian Devnie was awarded the team player award. He played in every match and was a regular at training, and bravely took the field in the last game when injured. His overall contribution to the team was fantastic; runs, wickets, catches, and wicket keeping. Ryan Beattie Always played with a smile on his face. He found the pace bowlers very tough to bat against, but would hang in there. A reliable bowler, and always gave his best in the field. Oliver Busby A first time cricketer who was always enthusiastic. His bowling improved out of sight during the season and was rewarded with 4 wickets. Joe Cowell He was terrific in the field with a number of run outs and catches. His batting improved through the season and he achieved his highest personal score. He had some good bowling spells. Leyton Davies He had an excellent season. A reliable opening bat, he had a number of long innings and scored 112 runs for the season, the 2 nd highest for the team. He shows some impressive skills as a wicketkeeper, and when he had a chance to bowl his leg spinners, they were always hard to hit. Josh Fitt Enthusiastic in the field with the highlight being a run out from a direct hit. His bowling improved through the season. Matthew Mulligan Had an excellent season with both bat and ball. Unfortunate to miss a number of games due to injury. A highlight was a terrific 51 not out early in the season against the team that were the eventual premiers. He had the 2 nd highest batting average for the team. A steady bowler who can move the ball around. Sean Naden A very good first season. His bowling improved throughout the year and was rewarded with 5 wickets. He tried hard with the bat, with the highlight being 13 not out when batting with his brother. Nochi Wakeford When he is set, nobody can hit the ball harder. In his top score of 34, not only did he have the fielders scattering, but the parents too. His bowling improved in the latter part of the season. Fred De Feyter (Coach) BATTING STATISTICS 12C Name Matches Innings Not Out H. S. Whilst the result was as good as can be hoped for the journey was just as enjoyable. Playing the new split innings format was a good challenge for the boys as they quickly learnt the value of a wicket in a 50 over contest whilst not getting bored by spending all day in the field. The highlight of the year was definitely our final training session at the SCG where the boys (and Dads) got to visit the Home Dressing Room and take a walk out to the pitch. This was on the night before the big GF and may have just been the inspiration to get the boys over the line. Thanks again for organising it Paul. Thanks to all the parents and grandparents for all the support, especially Mark and Paul C for help with the scoring and Ron and Steve for training. Last but not least a big thanks to Paul for his ongoing dedication to developing the boys cricket skills and enjoyment of the game. Laurance Ang: Laurance has been our keeper for the last few years but with 2 games to go he decided he wanted a bowl so we said fine. Here are his figures, Rd 9 2/2, Rd 10 2/11 and in the GF 30

5/1. Even more amazing than the figures was that even straight after the GF Laurance was still saying he wanted to go back to keeping...we will see. Alexander Bates: It was Xande s first year of cricket so a pretty tough gig when you are the youngest by a year. Xande is a natural athlete and this showed through the season as probably the team s most versatile player, taking the gloves for the last few games with aplomb. He was also one of the strongest fielders in the team all year and showed growing skills with his batting and bowling. Jeremiah Bates: One of our stronger all rounders, Bullfrog was never far from the action. His bowling being his strength, averaging under 7 runs per wicket and under 2 runs per over, however his general fielding was not far behind. A high score of 34 for the year was well deserved and there will be plenty more runs and wickets for him in the years to come. Dylan Casey: Big D is our speed demon opening bowler. He is by far the quickest across all the teams in the comp but still backs that up with less than 2 runs per over (maybe because the batsman cannot see it coming). His strong arm lead to a team high 5 run outs. D s batting has come on in leaps and bounds this year, once a classic lower order smasher he has learnt to keep the head down and he has had no more important innings than a 20 ball 0 not out to save an outright loss which kept our GF dreams alive. Zac Cooper: One of three batsmen to reach the 50 and retire. Zac has patience at the crease beyond his years with natural balance and great shot selection to boot. This was shown by the fact that his wicket was only taken 4 times all year. Zac also predominately fields at the very busy square/fine leg due to his strong arm and athleticism. Nick Eder: Nicks bowling came on in leaps and bounds this year. He finished the year in the top 5 balls per wicket stats with a season haul of 7 wickets. Undoubtedly Nicks highlight was the run out of the year where, fielding at point, he swooped on a ball and threw down the one stump he could see all in one motion to take a vital wicket. Sam Glass: Sammy s loopy bowling style was probably the most difficult for the other teams to play. After a strong start he was our leading wicket taker for most of the season. Sam took a great catch at mid off in the GF and was in the final batting partnership which saw the team to victory. Harry Karooz-Lipscomb: Harry s top of the order batting was typically the rock that the team s success was built on, including his game high 25 in the GF and 2 retired 50 s during the year. His text book batting style will lead to many more runs in the future. His slip fielding was great, shown by his 6 catches for the season. Zac Stubbs: Zac s cricket came along well this year. He had a few Boycott style innings at the top of the order during the year. Zac s highlight was definitely hitting the winning runs in the outright victory we had during the year, his smile from ear to ear on that day alone made the whole season worthwhile. Jared Towers: Jared started the season with a sizzling 43 runs in even time and finished the season with a very level headed n.o. 14 culminating in the winning runs in the GF. The team is always able to feed off his never ending energy in the field where he took a fantastic 9 catches during the year. Zac Wade: Zac rejoined the boys this year after a few years elsewhere within the club and what a fantastic addition. Whether it be his textbook bowling action (with outswing thank you very much), his awesome stroke play including the first 50 retired for the year or his spectacular short mid off fielding which yielded a team high 11 catches he was always a pleasure to watch. Jacob Wood: One of our 2 cricket debutants and without fail the most improved throughout the year. Jacob started very tentatively however his improvement saw him open the bowling in the GF. Jacob took match figures of 5/18 in the final round including 3 caught and bowled and finished the year as our leading wicket taker. 33 With a team made up of some "old hands" from the 10's, some experienced hands from the 12's playing their second year and a few newbie's to cricket, we got the season off to a great start with a first-up win. What made the win all-the-more stunning was that we played the second half of the match without a number of players - we had 4 missing but still pulled it off. With that as a launching pad, we felt optimistic about what lay ahead as our boys developed their skills and molded as a team. All the best intent and effort was no match for the next two matches. Our fourth was a closely contested affair but we fell short and before we knew it, the bye arrived and we were at the start of Round 2. The second round played out pretty much the same as the first - a win, some close calls that ended in losses and then the bye. Throughout the season, we saw a steady improvement in the skill of all players - wides and no-balls declined and batting numbers increased. The biggest downside for our side was the fact we could not all perform on the same day - if we batted well, our bowling let us down and vice-versa. As the results would suggest, our opposition also improved over the course of the season and they managed to keep us pegged. Despite this, every single boy held his own with being supportive of other players as well as the team as a whole. The same was also true of the way we respected the opposition each week and acknowledged their efforts regardless of win or lose. It was very pleasing to see how team spirit developed over the course of the season and was a real testament to the spirit in which the boys applied themselves. Our final match for the season coincided with Pink Stumps Day and again, the enthusiasm and commitment shown by the whole team was great to see, even though we were out of finals contention. The team really got a buzz out of the "pink" - from zinc to caps, stumps to pads and all places between, all got involved. On the playing front:- Liam Bissett - bowled very tidily all season and was unlucky not to "bag" more wickets; batting looked good but, similar to some other team members, fell on occasions to an unnecessary shot; in the field, always gave his all, including a stint behind the stumps very early in the season, a run out in general play and another close call; 33

Hayden Bryant - as the season progressed, Hayden mastered his bowling action but not before he had the coaches and manager baffled about his dexterity - in one match, he bowled an over made up of left and right arm deliveries; batting wise, Hayden was prepared to have a go each time he took to the crease, albeit, runs did not accumulate; Matthew Emanuel - managed to score the teams' first "six" of the season and accumulated some handy scores, however, was hampered by both lack of consistency and invariably, managing to find the opposition player that had sticky hands; bowling improved over the course of the season and as with Liam, was unlucky not to "bag" more wickets; in the field, Matthew would attack the ball no matter where it went and was able to effect a run out and save plenty of runs with his athleticism and strong arm; Lloyd Hamilton - holds the honour for top run-scorer with 25 not out, however, as with others in the team, lack of consistency hampered his overall results; bowled without luck but plenty of determination; fielding efforts were rewarded with a catch in close and also when keeping wickets; never turned down an opportunity to bat or bowl and would have kept wickets more often had the chance arisen; Luke Hurley - an enigma when it came to bowling - each week at training, Luke would land balls on good lengths the whole session and trouble whoever was batting. Come match day and the radar would be scrambled and as a result, he did not manage to "bag" more wickets; was unlucky to not have a shot at top scorer when his "18 not out" was washed out in Week 2; kept wickets tidily, taking two catches as well as effecting two run outs in general play; Terence Lambropoulos - equal top run-scorer, leading wicket-taker and lowest bowling average can only be described as a very positive contribution to the team; running between wickets and in the field were a slight drawback to an otherwise solid all-round performance; as with others, consistency of effort was an overall limitation; Zac Lim - having seen Zac play in two successive seasons, his bowling has continued to improve, however, "lady luck" was not willing to help out with some wickets to reinforce the improvement; batting was an aspect Zac willingly took part in and he could generally be guaranteed to staunchly defend his wicket, however, scoring the runs was not as easy; contributed solidly in the field with three catches in general play; Dennis Lykouras - nicknamed "Mr Football", Dennis possessed very reliable and at times amazing skills with the ball when fielding - saving runs with a combination of footwork and great hand-to-eye coordination were his forte in addition to two general catches in the field; with the ball in his hands, he proved a worthy bowler, taking some important wickets (often early in the innings to get us off to a great start!!!); on the batting front, the foot skills from fielding were not as helpful and despite a willingness to always "have a go", the runs didn't flow; Ryan Mulligan - our team pocket-rocket, Ryan seemed to pop up all over the place, contributing with bat - best batting average - and ball (took a few wickets but also seemed to bowl to the "in-form" players); his size was misleading, on all occasions, he seemed to contribute well in excess of his stature and was always there to help out; may have been hard done by on a few occasions when batting, however, quickly rebounded; Robert Rodgers - circumstances beyond his control meant that Robert missed the bulk of the second round, however, in the matches he did play early in the season, he was a valuable contributor with both bat and ball; indeed, his batting aggregate was not far adrift of those that played the whole season; as with Terence, relied upon boundaries as preferred scoring stroke; was able to bowl medium pace and spin, however, did not manage to snare many wickets; James Walker - was not able to make a number of matches due to a health scare, James was a find when he played wicket-keeper early in the season - his constant chatter/reinforcement to bowlers and fielders was up there with Adam Gilchrist and really set the bar at a very high level; with bat and ball, James did not find the same success, however, he was never far from the fray when we needed someone to step in and bat or bowl; a second season should see James develop these areas. All in all, a fair result in terms of our final placing - equal third on wins narrowly fourth based upon quotients. Well done to all and thanks to Brian and Rob for their coaching efforts during the season. Garry Emanuel (Coach) BATTING STATISTICS 12E Name Matches Innings Not Out H. S. Runs Average 34

Well another season is over and the boys battled hard all season. With most of the boys playing their first season in traditional cricket they all did an exceptional job. Only the one win but several close finishes and who could forget the last ball tie with Engadine in the last game of the season. The look of delight on their faces as we ran their last player out was priceless. Thank you to all he parents for getting the boys to the game on time. Special thanks to Gavin for helping out at training and setting up the ground on game day and to Rod who did a great job scoring all season. Oliver Blake: Also known as the smiling assassin Ollie enjoyed his cricket and loved being involved in the game. His batting was right out of the 20/20 text book, always looking to score quickly. Picked up a high score of 11no, took 3 wickets and was tidy behind the stumps. Riley Cooper: Riley was a first year player and took a while to adjust to the game. His batting and bowling improved out of sight as the season progressed. He took 1 wicket and had a highest score of 7no with the bat. With that experience and plenty of practice I m sure Riley improve further next season. Mitchell Gardiner: Mitch is a good all round cricketer. He is a hard hitting batsman with a highest score of 17. Needs to be a little more patient with the bat and more runs will follow. His bowling was a lively pace that troubled most batsmen. He took a couple of great catches during the season. Charlie Glass: If Charlie doesn t make it as an Australian cricketer he may turn into a comedian. Charlie was never backward in coming forward in anything he did. His batting was aggressive, his bowling action modeled on Malinga and he took some great classic catches and generally had a good time. Michael Kerle: Michael opened the batting several times this season and did a good job. His concentration was good and usually saw off the fast bowlers. His bowling improved as the season progressed and with a bit more confidence he will only improve more next season. Daniel Milliken: Daniel played many fine innings during the season. Spent long periods batting and his concentration was excellent. With a highest score of 21 and with a total of 8 wickets was our leading 36

wicket taker bowling at good pace. His fielding was of a high standard taking some good catches and backing up the throws. Jacob Naden: Jacob was another player who was only fairly new to cricket. He struggled with his batting early in the season but improved as the season progressed. His bowling was very accurate and opposition players had trouble scoring runs off him. He took 3 wickets for the season. Will Norris: Will did a fine job with the bat this season. His technique is very good and when he puts on some muscle he will hit the ball a lot further. He bowled his tricky left arm medium pacers and enjoyed keeping behind the stumps. Nikolas Prapas: Tried hard all season and his bowling improved out of sight. Tried hard with the bat and the look on his face when he belted a four was priceless. He appeared to really enjoy his cricket, especially when he took a wicket. Daniel Towell: Daniel enjoyed his season with bat and ball. Was our leading run scorer with 125 runs, with his highest score of 27no( retired). A bit more patience with the bat will see him score many runs next season. His bowling was steady and fielding was of a high standard, Cooper Towers: Move over Mike Hussey I ve just found the new Mr. Cricket! Cooper loves his cricket and it showed on the cricket field with him always trying to be involved. His batting was exciting and running between wickets very good. He bowled at a good pace and troubled most batsman. A good talker on the field and his fielding was sharp. Geoff Milliken (Coach ) BATTING STATISTICS 10B Name Matches Innings Not Out H. S. 38 10C TEAM REPORT After some initial dramas to the season & grading difficulties the boys rallied to make it to the grandfinal. They showed great sportsmanship, friendship and skill development throughout the season. The highlight of the season came in the grand-final; with a never give up attitude which almost resulted in a win, going down by a mere 6 runs in the end. Many thanks to Peter our assistant coach and Allison our manager for their excellent application and dedication to the coaching cause. Tuesday arvo s are definitely not the same now without training up at Illawong. A big thank you to all our parents who supported our team. Christopher Bolin-Pavlous: This was Chris s first season with our club and his skills certainly developed as the season went on. He finished up scoring 110 runs for the season at average of Chris possessed a rocket arm that resulted in 4 run-outs & 2 catches. He saved his best bowling to the final & took 7 wickets at an average of Great Start to your cricketing career. Patrick Fourace: Patrick s enthusiasm is clearly evident to all. A great season with the bat & ball. Clearly our best batter and an inspiration to all his team mates. With the bat scoring 149 runs with an average of His powerful hitting was a highlight of his season along with great balance as a fieldsman. Taking 6 catches & 3 run-outs & bowling at great speeds with 4 wickets at an average of 14. Once again Patrick wins our omo award for the dirtiest player (clothes that is)!! Benjamin Docwra: Ben had an enjoyable year at cricket. He developed a solid forward defence & accumulated 12 runs for the year. He improved his control & co-ordination & everyone celebrated long & hard when Ben took his 1 st wicket. Ethan Fuller: Ethan was a great team member. He consistently improved his bowling taking 7 wickets at an average of 9.57 & 3 great run outs. He developed some fine shot making with the bat scoring 28 runs & saving his best hit for the final with a glorious drive through mid-wicket that went for 4. Well done on a great season!! 38

Owen Hamilton: Owen always was enthusiastic at cricket, wanting to be part of the action. He developed some great speed and was slinging that ball down scaring the opposition. He batted hard for 29 runs in the season and was always popping up in the field with some great saves & throws. Linten Hardie: - Linten showed great improvement throughout the year. He batted consistently for a total of 33 runs. His bowling also improved and took 5 wickets at an average of 17. He took a catch & was deadly in the field with 4 run outs. Well done Linten on a terrific season. Joseph Mauch: Joseph was a pleasure to coach. He listened & tried hard all year. He learnt the finer art of batting scoring 21 runs for the season. Joseph took 5 wickets for an average of It was great to see it all come together in the final where he was on a hat-trick before narrowly missing it. Also a great catch & run out in the season well done. Matthew Pinkerton: Matthew put in some gutsy performances at cricket. He had some solid defensive shots & developed his timing throughout the year. He also managed to take a wicket & his bowling improved with greater accuracy as well as line & length. Best part of the year for Matthew was his dip in the river after a game. Jack Solo: Jack was inspirational for the team. Always in the action with some great fielding taking 4 catches & 4 run-outs and a w/keeper catch. He was our best bowler, steaming in with the new ball at speed taking 10 wickets at an average of 6. Jack was also a keen batter always looking for a run with 89 for the season at an average of Great effort!! Callum Sweet: Callum had a great season. He improved his bowling with some great figures taking 5 wickets at an average of Some crisp shots with the bat scoring 37 runs, often not rewarded as they found a player in the field. Callum produced the goods with the ball in the final after taking a head knock at the lunch break. Callum was a fine example for all the other kids; he displayed a great attitude, respect & manners to all members. Well done!! Bailey Turner: Bailey was Mr Casual, cool calm & collected. Nothing fazed him; even taking a hattrick!! He developed from a loopy spinner to a speed demon by the end of the season. Taking 9 wickets at an average of Bailey improved with the bat scoring 16 runs for the season. Great season Bailey!! Declan Watson: Our own Mr Cricket. Declan continued to show improvements with both the bat & ball. He scored 27 runs for the season & took 8 wickets at an average of Declan was always inspirational in the field with great saves, & throws. He took 3 catches, & 3 run-outs with a w/keeper catch & stumping. Well done Dec!! Brett Solo (Coach) BATTING STATISTICS 10C Name Matches Innings Not Out H. S. 40 Patrick Fouracre Ethan Fuller Owen Hamilton Linten Hardie Joseph Mauch Matthew Pinkerton Jack Solo Callum Sweet Bailey Turner Declan Watson A TEAM REPORT For all but two players this was their first year of competitive cricket and the white line fever instincts grew as the season went on. Playing in the A grade was always going to be a challenge for the team as most of the other teams players have played at least a season in the 8s if not in some instances 2-3 seasons. The talent out there in this age group is quite surprising and there were 2-3 teams that dominated during the season. I will note that every team played the game in a great spirit with every player getting a fair share of batting and bowling during every game we played. Coaches from opposing teams took the time with both teams to support the players that struggled through the over. Many thanks to Mark Cameron for managing the team through the season. Sending texts regarding cancelled training sessions from Hawaii and/or Hong Kong was not uncommon. Also thanks to David Poore as Head Scorer of the team for his scoring support and training through the season of our other scorers Wayne Lu, Mark Rozanc and Jason Rowles. Thanks also to Jason for his umpiring support and assistant coach duties whilst the coach was off sunning in Noosa. Thanks also to the players that made the season enjoyable and hope to see you all back again next season. 40
