Built in 1941, the golf course was completely renovated in 1999 under the supervision of renowned golf course architect John LaFoy. The renovated course features large Champion Bermuda greens which average over 6,000 square feet each, 419 Bermuda fairways and concrete cart paths. Goldsboro Municipal Golf has the best practice facility in the Wayne County area. With 9 practice mats, 20 station grass hitting area, practice bunker, chipping green, 4 strategically placed target greens all with laser shot exact distances, golfers of all levels can improve their game. 14 Facilities Facility Rentals Rentals can be made up to one year in advance on a first come, first serve basis. Be sure to include setup and breakdown time in your rental. Events may be requested with at least 60 days notice. Nonprofit status must be verified. If the room is not damaged or rental doesn't go over it s allotted time, the deposit will be returned three (3) weeks after the rental date. Cancellations must be made 2 weeks prior to rental. A $10 administration fee will be deducted to all cancellations.
