The show is held in conjunction with The National Cattle Congress (NCC) a signature Midwestern exhibition that has offered the best in agriculture, livestock, entertainment and education to families for over 90 years. We re honored to join this renowned venue to showcase and share the best llamas in the Midwest. For more information on NCC, see: SHOW INFORMATION SHOW LOCATION: Anniversary Hall, National Cattle Congress (NCC) grounds - (see attached map for specific location) OFFICE/CLERK DESK: open Friday 3:00 P.M. 9:00 P.M. and Saturday 7:00 A.M. til the end of the show. You MUST check in at the clerk s desk upon arrival or prior to entering the show! SHOW TIME: 8:30 A.M. both days (in show ring) BE PROMPT!! Once the class has entered the ring and the gate is closed, late exhibitors may not enter a class. EXHIBITOR MEETING: 8:00 A.M. both days (in show ring) ENTRY DEADLINE: August 20, 2014 (Postmarked) / August 30, 2014 (Grace Deadline) RULES This is a two-day show. Youth Judging, Showmanship, and Performance classes will be held on Saturday. Halter classes will be held on Sunday. This show is approved by the International Lama Registry Show Division. All animals entered in approved classes must be registered with the International Lama Registry (ILR) or have an ILR Tracking Number. Failure to meet this requirement prohibits entry in the show. Non-Breeder llamas must be accompanied by a registration or veterinarian certificate verifying the animal is a gelding, a vasectomized male, or a spayed or non-reproductive female. Exhibitors must be the registered owners and make entry in the exact names (owner and animal) as shown on the registration certificate or have written permission from the owner to show that animal. Nursing llama mothers may not be accompanied in the ring by their babies. No llama under the age of five months may be shown. A llama ages on its birthday. 1
2 It is the exhibitor's responsibility to have animals(s) at the show ring promptly for their class. Llamas may not be moved from one class to another after halter judging has begun, except at the judge's discretion. Youth may exhibit only one entry per youth class. Youth may compete in Advanced Performance and Youth Performance; however they must use a different llama. A llama may only be used in one Performance division. Production Pair: Two offspring of either the same Sire or the same Dam. This class is evaluated by judging the positive consistencies of the pair. To qualify for Youth Performance Champion, the youth must show in Freestyle Obstacle, PR/Companion, and Trail/Pack, or Showmanship. They must use the same animal for all three performance classes unless the animal is less than 18 months old. In the case only, the youth may use a second animal for the Youth Trail/Pack class. If showing in all four classes, the highest points in either Trail/Pack or Showmanship will be used. Minimum age for a handler in any class is seven years old. It is recommended that exhibitors 7-11 years of age not show intact males over the age of 18 months. Alpacas may compete in the llama performance classes; however, we are not offering alpaca halter classes. An animal may be entered in only ONE halter class. Halter classes are: Suri, Classic/Light, Medium, Heavy, and Non-Breeder. THE FALL HARVEST LLAMA SHOW AND THE NATIONAL CATTLE CONGRESS HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR LOSS OR INJURY DUE TO THEFT, SICKNESS, IMPROPER HANDLING OR AN ACT OF GOD. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: The State of Iowa requires health papers. All animals must have a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued within 30 days of the show. FEES CLASS FEE: $10.00 per class ILR SHOW MANAGER FEE: $3.00 per animal LATE ENTRY FEE: $10.00 per head LATE ENTRY DEADLINE: August 30, 2014 ENTRY CHANGES: $10.00 for each entry change after arrival at the show (included adding a class, changing a class, and animal substitution) STALL FEES: $25.00 per stall if you supply your own panels $35.00 per stall if the show supplies the panels The stalls will be metal 10' x 10' stalls with concrete floors. No more than 2 animals per stall, unless they are under one year old. Exhibitors provide their own feed and bedding (straw and paper are allowed). If you are sharing stalls with someone, please indicate this on your entry form. We will try to honor all stalling requests, however, it may not be possible as some exhibitors rent stalls and others bring their own panels. Exhibitors may rent a stall for their display and tack, however, there is enough room in the aisles for displays and tack should you choose that option. Stalls will be assigned on a first come first serve basis. Stalling will be in the same barn as the show. If we need overflow stalling there is space in another barn next to the Llama Barn. There is a wash area on the South side of the Llama Barn (Anniversary Hall). The barn has electricity and water. We will request that exhibitors keep their stalls clean during the show but, you will not need to clean your stalls our before you are released. The National Cattle Congress will clean the barn. 2
