2 OVERVIEW This marketing guide outlines cooperative advertising and promotional programs at the LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway during the 2014 season. LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway can customize packages to meet your marketing goals, whether it s a promotional night at the races, signage, an employee or customer outing, or public address. Through use of advertising medium opportunities at LaCrosse Speedway, your business can be showcased to over 75,000 patrons that will pass through the gates at LaCrosse Speedway. Over 30 events are held annually at the facility, which will be entering its 45th consecutive year of entertainment as a paved racing oval track, in Western Wisconsin. The LaCrosse Speedway is primarily a facility designed for oval track stock car racing. However, it is a multi-functional facility, as it hosts events for Street Car Drag Racing, Bicycle Racing, automotive testing, Sports Car Autocross, and more. Further, LaCrosse Speedway is in the business of having FUN. Through the variety of entertainment options provided during each season, area residents of all ages and demographics can enjoy a great time at LaCrosse Speedway. 3 NIGHT AT THE RACES Program Includes: On a mutually agreeable Saturday night event during the 2014 season, your company will be named presenting sponsor of all the events to be run. A typical event will include the racing divisions including: Late Models, Sportsmen & Thunderstox. Added divisions or novelty events will typically include the main divisions. All event advertising purchased by the speedway for that event will include your company s name or logo mentioned in conjunction with the event. The following schedule is run for a typical or regular event: RADIO: (60 S): Approximately 30 sixty second spots. All radio spots for the event will highlight your company s name. The Speedway runs its spots 3:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, plus 10:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Our ads run on the following formatted stations: soft / classic rock, news, sports, and country. Stations include: CC106.3, Cow 97, Classic Rock, 95.7 The Rock, Z-93, Magic 105, WKTY 580, KQYB 98.3, KQEG 102.7, Mix 96.1, and KAGE Those stations cover areas including LaCrosse / Onalaska / Holmen / West Salem, LaCrescent, Sparta / Tomah, Winona, and areas surrounding those communities. DIRECT MAIL: Each month during the racing season, the speedway reaches over 5,000 homes through its direct mail campaign. Each individual race event and event presenting sponsor is highlighted in the U.S.P.S. delivered fan newsletter. Your involvement will receive marquee exposure. The mailing list is generated through in-house promotions, and by fan requests. The Newsletter is also available online and linked in through Facebook. PRINT: Use of print advertising in the LaCrosse Tribune Newspaper (at least 12 column inches) will highlight your involvement. TELEVISION: Each race night is taped and re-broadcasted on the local channel KQEG TV-23 (Also on Charter Communications Cable Channel 5). The races are aired once each week on Sunday Nights. In total, the cable system reaches over 50,000 homes. Your involvement will be easily identified by all viewers. PUBLIC ADDRESS: Each race event sponsor is mentioned several times during its night at the races. Public address may include mentions, pre-written and provided statements about your business services or products, or an in-person interview with the announcer is optional.
4 NIGHT AT THE RACES SCHEDULE BROCHURE: Your logo will be included on all 10,000 copies of the speedway s 2014 Event Schedule brochure, as a 2014 event presenting sponsor and business partner. The brochures are mailed out to local addresses of race fans on our several mailing lists, in addition to being distributed to area businesses. PRESS RELEASES: Any pre-event or post-event press releases and results will highlight your involvement. ELECTRONIC MEDIA: NEWSLETTER. The speedway has approximately 1200 local race fans on a weekly list. The newsletters are sent out twice a week during the racing season. Your involvement will be included in the newsletters for that event: pre-race and post-race. Your logo will be prominently placed in the newsletter. FACEBOOK. The Speedway s Facebook page, of well over 6,500 fans, will mention your involvement during the week of the race event you are promoting at. IN ADDITION! VIP DECK TICKETS: You will have access to the Speedway s VIP Deck with 24 tickets to give to your guests, whether they are customers, employees, or family and friends. DISTRIBUTION: You will have the opportunity to distribute information, flyers, literature, or product samples (keychains, can coolers, etc) to all of the guests at the event. BANNER DISPLAY: You may display banners, signs, inflatables or posters at the Speedway during the event you are promoting at. DISPLAY SPACE: Your company may display vehicles, or set up a table and tent / kiosk to interact with the guests in the grandstands on your night at the races. PACE TRUCK: A few of your guests may be lucky enough to get a ride in the Speedway Official Pace Truck during an actual race! GRAND MARSHAL: One of your guests may give the command for the Late Model Drivers to Start Your Engines! at the start of the feature race.
5 SIGNAGE TV BILLBOARD The LaCrosse Speedway will provide your company one vinyl professionally produced 8 x 20 sign, featuring your logo of choice and very brief advertising message. Sign is displayed for the entire 2014 NASCAR racing season, and the historic Oktoberfest Race Weekend (approximately 32 different events total). The billboards are located above the track wall in turns one and two, and in turns three and four of the 5/8th mile track. These signs can be easily identified on the Speedway s weekly television race broadcast, shown on local channel KQEG TV-23. Best of all, sign production Is Included for the first year! TRACKSIDE WALL SIGN Your company s logo is painted on one 3 x 10 concrete barrier sign. These signs are located on the quarter mile track wall, and would display your logo for the entire 2014 NASCAR season. The main advantage of these signs is that they are up close to the grandstands, providing an impact of impressions upon the spectators every lap of every race. They are a very affordable way to get a great bang for your buck! The signs are professionally hand painted and for the first season, all painters & maintenance fees are included! GRANDSTAND AREA SIGN Some companies like to provide more details about the advertising messages. These 4 x 8 signs are up close and personal with the potential consumers. Signs are professionally produced in high quality, on vinyl, and displayed for the entire season in the grandstand concourse area. EXCLUSIVE LOCATIONS The Speedway also offers high-profile exclusive locations, such as at the Flagstand, Victory Lane, and high above the Scoreboard and Electronic Message Center. These signs are subject to availability and we invite you to inquire with the Speedway team about them.
6 YEARBOOK ADVERTISING The LaCrosse Speedway annually produces a 36 page souvenir yearbook for the fans, printed in full color. This yearbook is the only printed source of information available to fans in attendance, and it contains driver information, photos, fan information, stories and an insight on how a race night works. The yearbooks are sold at the souvenir stand all season long for just $1, and are complimentary at the Hospitality areas and VIP deck. 7 DIVISION TITLE SPONSOR The LaCrosse Speedway has several different classes of cars that race at the track. Three of them race every week: The NASCAR Late Models, Grand National Sportsmen, and Thunderstox. Scheduled in addition on several nights each season are the Hornets, Outlawz and Figure-8 divisions. These divisions are all promoted in the speedway s weekly advertising, schedules, literature, and promotions, in addition to at the track during every event. Your company is invited to participate as a division sponsor, for impression maximizing exposure during each season. In addition to the division naming rights, advertising tags, and public address at the track, each division has a series logo which includes your company s logo. Optional is a series sponsor decal with your logo to be placed on all the race cars that compete in the class during the season. Your reach is stretched beyond the race track, when race cars are on display at area businesses and in community parades.
8 HOSPITALITY & GROUP OUTINGS Company picnics and outings can be easy! Just let the staff at LaCrosse Speedway do all of the work while you sit back, relax, socialize and enjoy the event. Several different locations are available for you to meet and greet your guests at the track. Whether they re customers, employees, family or friends, all will have a great time. Two of the Hospitality locations are trackside so guests can enjoy the social aspect of the outing all while watching the events unfold on the track as they take place. Outing packages are available for groups of all sizes. Hospitality with food and beverages may start with as few as 12 guests and can be as large as 800.
