4 REQUIREMENTS You are required to bring with you the following: Affidavit, proof of residency forms, player waivers, your league's boundary map and medical releases. This is required for your team's participation in the tournament and must be turned in at team registration. REGISTRATION All teams must register at the Holiday Inn Host Facility (signs will be posted) between 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Bring your requirements to this registration. All teams must arrive no later than 4:00 pm. Districts 1, 11 and 13 must also register at the Holiday Inn before 4:00 pm. Be prepared to pay for extra picnic tickets, and for T-shirts at the time of registration. PICNIC A picnic will be held at 6:00 p.m. on July 5th at Sugar Hollow Park (3600 Lee Highway Bristol VA 24201) for the players, manager, 2 coaches and league officials. Each team will be allotted free tickets for each player, manager and two coaches. Parents and fans can attend at a cost of $10.00 per person. $6.00 for children ages 4-12, and free for children under 4. For planning purposes, all tickets will be pre-sold. Please reserve extra tickets from Bristol Little League by July 1st. You can your ticket requests to Bryan Kimberlin at bryankimberlin4@gmail.com. Opening Ceremonies The Opening Ceremonies (Team introductions) will be at Sugar Hollow Park at 7:30 pm after the picnic. Teams are asked to wear your team shirts and bring your District Champions Banners. PRE-TOURNAMENT MEETING A meeting will be held at 9:00 p.m., or immediately following the opening ceremonies, on July 5th at Holiday Inn Bristol. All tournament officials, umpires, managers and coaches are required to attend. PLAYING FIELDS All tournament games will be played at Highland View Softball Field and Eastern Baseball Field. There will be a concession stand and restrooms. Bleacher seating is available, but feel free to bring lawn chairs and pop up tents. Practice Fields Practice fields are available. Upon request, arrangements may be made with tournament Coordinators for a practice time. No practice will be allowed on the tournament fields. Little League Softball Tournament Rules will be enforced and adhered to without exception.

13 2018 Virginia State Softball Tournament Team Guidelines Teams are to arrive at the field 45 minutes prior to game time and report immediately to the Tournament Director. A coin toss will decide home or visitor. The team traveling the greatest distance will call and the winner of the toss will choose home or visitor. The home team will occupy the 1st base dugout and the visiting team will occupy the 3rd base dugout. Teams should be prepared to move into their appropriate dugouts 40 minutes prior to game time. A District 1 Official and a tournament umpire will inspect team equipment for regulation and safety. Each team will have 10 minutes for infield practice if time permits. This is the Tournament Director's decision. Only the manager, 2 coaches and a maximum of 14 players will be allowed on the field or in the dugout once infield practice begins. Pregame ceremonies, players, managers, coaches and umpires will be announced and if the first game of the day, National Anthem. Little League Pledge and Parent Pledge will be presented before each game. After the game is over, be sure pitchers are properly recorded on your affidavit. Affidavits will be held by the Tournament Director. Before each team plays their first game state tournament pins will be presented to each player, manager and coach.
