Senior point guard Cheetah Delgado finished last game against Virginia Tech with one of her most effective performances of the season. Delgado tied her season low with two turnovers committed and had her highest single-game assist-to-turnover ratio of the season, finishing at 4.5. Senior forward Natasha Howard played in her 116th career game last Sunday, putting her in a tie for 20th on the school s career list with LaQuinta Neely ( ) and Tia Paschal ( ). Ivey Slaughter is second on Florida State averaging 8.5 boards per game. If the season ended today, her average would be tied for 14th on the school single-season list. It would also be the highest rebounding average by an FSU freshman since former player Lorraine Rimson averaged 8.7 boards in the season. howard ready to make MORE HISTORY Senior forward Natasha Howard has reached all types of milestones this season. Now she is ready to make a dent in the ACC record books: The Toledo, Ohio, native has a strong chance to rank in the Top 25 in ACC history in total rebounds. With 923 career boards, she is 54 away from tying No. 25 LaQuanda Barksdale of UNC (977 from ). Howard would become the first Nole in the career total rebounds Top 25 list in the ACC. The senior leader is also within striking distance of the 25th spot for career total blocks in the ACC. With 162 career blocks, Howard is eight shy of tying Vicky Bullett (Maryland, ) and Joannah Kauffman (Georgia Tech, ) for 25th on the list. FSU s Jacinta Monroe and Brooke Wyckoff are fifth and 13th on the ACC total blocks list, respectively. she s a scholar baller! Current Florida State student assistant Morgan Toles earned a special recognition this week when she was the recipient of the Third Team Academic Momentum Award: Toles played at Florida State primarily in her senior season as the team s point guard. She was one of 40 student-athletes nationwide recognized for their academic and community service achievements. She is in her first year as the team s student assistant and helps fulfill roles both in practice and in the office. Toles graduated with a bachelor s degree in social science and is now studying sociology in graduate school. As a senior, Toles had the ACC s top assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.3. She finished with 405 career assists at Florida State. racing for the record Nearly three-quarters through the season, it s never too early for senior point guard Cheetah Delgado to think about smashing records: Delgado is challenging the school single-season record for most assists held by Courtney Ward, who totaled 198 in the Elite Eight season. Currently, Delgado has 128 through just 20 games played. Through Ward s first 20 games that season, she tallied 110 assists. Ward s march to the Elite Eight also meant extra games. 23/25 FLORIDA STATE at wake forest 4

For FSU, that means generating steals to turn into easier opportunities on offense: Florida State is 14-0 this season when they record 10 or more steals in a game. Generating turnovers via the steal has been tougher to come by in ACC play. In seven conference games, FSU has garnered double-digit steals twice. In ACC play, FSU s points off turnovers as well as fastbreak points - both beneficiaries of steals - have gone down slightly. an mvp performance for howard Senior Natasha Howard added another accolade to her senior season by earning MVP honors at the Long Beach Classic on Dec. 21. It took Miami-Ohio in the seventh game of the season to be the first team to break the 40 percent mark as it shot exactly 40 percent (20-of-50) from the floor: For the season, the Noles are holding their opponents to just 36.2 percent from the field. It is the fourth-lowest mark in the ACC. Defending NCAA National Runner-up Louisville did not fare much better on Nov. 24, hitting 24-of-66 (36.4 percent) from the field. Only seven of 20 teams have shot 40 percent or better vs. the Noles this season. 23/25 FLORIDA STATE at wake forest 7

She is arguably the team s top perimeter defender, garnering a team-best 50 steals this season. She is one of FSU s best drivers to the basket, getting to the free-throw line 55 times to sit fourth on the team. She shrugged off a rough start at Miami-Ohio on Dec. 1 to help mount FSU s comeback with a few big 3-pointers in the second half. Her 24 points vs. Prairie View A&M on Nov. 17 were the most by a freshman since Cierra Bravard s 25 on Nov. 20, plenty of mo-jo An aspect of Morgan Jones game that makes her so valuable is her versatility. A viable option at the 1,2 or 3 spot, the 6-foot-2 Jones has already proven to be a stat stuffer: The Lake Mary, Fla., native has led the Noles in either points (three), rebounds (four), assists (three) or steals (twice) on multiple occasions this season. Primarily a perimeter player, Jones is averaging 6.6 rebounds per game and 2.8 assists per outing while being second on FSU in scoring (13.6 ppg). The do-it-all guard has 40 double-figure scoring games in her collegiate career. Jones was efficient vs. Stetson, hitting 4 3-pointers, totaling nine boards and seven assists. She led FSU with 24 points at Florida on Nov. 21, including a season-best four 3-pointers. It was her seventh career 20-point performance as a collegiate athlete. Jones recorded her first double-double as a Nole against Prairie View A&M (11 points, 10 rebs.). The Noles needed her offense vs. Cincinnati and she delivered, registering 22 points on 8-of-17 shooting. Against the Bearcats, Jones had a key stretch where she scored 13 of FSU s 17 points in a late surge in the first half to take a lead. AS FAST AS A CHEETAH Senior Cheetah Delgado s season debut was a super one, as the 5-foot-2 guard posted career highs in assists (10) and nearly tied her career high for points (12) in a win over UNC Greensboro: Cheetah was the ONLY FSU player to have double-figure scoring in the first five games until notching six points vs. Stetson. She is assisting on 30.8 percent of her teammates baskets when she is on the floor, the highest on the team. She is shooting 44.2 percent from the floor, fourth-best on the team. Delgado has two double-doubles this season, posting her second one at Miami on Jan. 9 with 10 points and 10 assists. Delgado tied her career high with 14 points at Florida and totaled eight assists. She finished in double figures for the second consecutive game vs. Cincy, the first time she has posted double-digit points in back-to-back games. The Kissimmee, Fla., native had arguably the game s biggest points at Cincinnati when she nailed a pair of free throws with eight seconds left, creating the final score of Delgado tied her career high at FSU with five steals against Cincinnati. She logged 36 minutes and finished with 10 points. top 25 win for the noles Florida State earned its first Top 25 win of the season on Dec. 4 when it took down No. 25 Michigan State, 60-58, at the Donald L.
