SAINT JOSEPH S BASKETBALL - PG. 2 HEAD COACH PHIL MARTELLI In 10 years at Saint Joseph s, Phil Martelli has built a program that is consistently one of the top in the conference, a perennial post-season participant and a key player on the national scene. Although he swept the National Coach of the Year honors in 2004, Martelli turned in perhaps a more remarkable coaching job in as the Hawks were faced with the loss of two NBA first-round draft picks from the squad that went 30-2 and posted a perfect regular season (27-0). After the Hawks struggled in the early going, Martelli reworked the team s style of play to guide SJU to 21 wins in the calendar year of Saint Joseph s posted the conference s best record (14-2) and won its fifth straight regular-season title to tie the league record. The Hawks garnered the top seed in the conference tournament for the second year in a row and reached the championship game. For his efforts, he was named the Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year for the second straight season and the fourth time in his career. The Hawks earned their fifth consecutive postseason bid and made an exciting six-game run in the NIT, falling on a last-second shot in the championship game. It marked the second time in his career that Martelli had guided SJU to the NIT title game. Martelli s 10-year career record is now , but more impressively, his teams have gone in the past five seasons (not counting this year). He currently ranks third on SJU s all-time list for coaching victories and is fourth in winning percentage (.643). Setting the school record for wins in a season in 2004 (30), the coach has guided SJU to 20 or more victories five times in 10 seasons. Martelli is in Atlantic 10 play, ranking him third on the A-10 s list for conference regular season victories. Martelli has also been at his best when it counts the most. His 16 postseason wins (6 NCAA, 10 NIT) are the most in school history, ahead of coaching legend Jack Ramsay s total of 12. Martelli ranks first among Hawk coaches with a.695 postseason winning percentage (16-7). The coach has taken Saint Joseph s to the postseason in five consecutive years, with three trips to the NCAA Tournament. Martelli s efforts and the success of the SJU program have been recognized on a consistent basis. In fact, he has earned a Coach of the Year award, whether it be a city, conference or regional honor, in six of his 10 seasons. In the summer of 2005, Martelli served as the head coach of the USA Men s U21 World Championship Team, which competed at the FIBA U21 World Championship in Argentina, and earned a fifth-place finish. It was the coach's third assignment with USA Basketball having served as a USA assistant coach for gold-medal winning teams at both the 2001 FIBA World Championship for Young Men and the 1998 Goodwill Games. In , Martelli guided a focused and unselfish squad that became the most compelling story in college basketball with its undefeated regular season, a number-one national ranking and number-one seed in the NCAA Tournament. Led by consensus National Player of the Year Jameer Nelson, the Hawks advanced to the Elite Eight. After 10 years as an assistant at SJU, Martelli was named the school s 14th head coach in 1995 and is just the third non-alumnus to hold the position. Martelli burst onto the scene in his first season ( ) and took the squad to the NIT championship game. It was only Ferguson's third field goal of the game. The Hawks had inbounded the ball with 19.3 seconds remaining and Abdulai Jalloh s attempt was an air ball, but went into the hands of Ferguson, who put in in from the baseline. Temple's last-second attempt was off the mark and SJU had its seventh consecutive win over the city rival. The Hawks scored all but one field goal in the first half from beyond the arc, going 11-for-17 in 3-point attempts over Temple's zone. Jalloh had a game-high 18 points in the first hal, making 6-of-7 3-pointers. SJU held a lead at halftime, despite committing eight turnovers. SJU cooled off in the second half and managed just 3-of-9 from behind the arc, and saw Temple take its first lead of the game, 40-39, at 15:43. SJU trailed by six, at 10:05, but Dave Mallon scored all of the points in a 7-0 run that returned the lead to SJU. After another tie, SJU held a lead with two minutes to play, but saw the Owls knot the score. Jalloh was the Hawks' only double-figure scorer with 22 points, while Dwayne Lee had eight points and six assists.

On Jan. 12, Dwayne Jones had 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead SJU to the win at home. Jones hit a career-high 10 of 14 free throws while Dwayne Lee scored 12 points and Chet Stachitas had 11 for the Hawks, who moved back to.500 for the first time since December 11. SJU held a lead at halftime, as UMass missed all of its six 3-point attempts. The Hawks led by as many as 11 in the second half, as John Bryant scored on consecutive dunks to give SJU a lead. Carroll scored 19 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead the Hawks to a win. Carroll scored 13 as SJU took a first half lead and never looked back. The Hawks built the lead to as much as 20 points in the second half, and UMass never came closer than 13. Rob Ferguson scored a then career-high 14 points while Lee tied his career-high with 13 and Jones scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. JEKYLL-HYDE: The Hawks have come out strong in the first half in both A-10 games, but have then struggled some in the second half. It s led Phil Martelli to say, the only thing consistent with this team is that they re inconsistent. Against Xavier, SJU made eight of its first 12 shots, but cooled off and allowed Xavier to eventually go on a 12-0 run to take the lead. The teams traded leads a few more times, but the Hawks could never regain it for good. Against Temple, the Hawks made 11 of 17 3-pointers in the first half (and just one two-point basket) en route to a halftime lead. The second half was a different story as Temple hit more shots and the Hawks went just 3-of-9 from 3-point range (and 6-of-19 from the field). SJU trailed by six but was able to regain the lead and eventually pull it out in the final seconds. Abdulai Jalloh was among the individuals who has had two totally different halves in a game. Versus Temple, he started the game going 6-for-11 from 3-point range, but then went 0-for-7 from the field in the second half. UNSUNG HERO: Rob Ferguson had the game-winning shot vs. Temple. The sophomore grabbed an air ball by Abdulai Jalloh and put it in from the baseline with 2.2 seconds remaining to give the Hawks the win. It was only his third field goal of the game. IRON MEN: Three Hawks - Abdulai Jalloh, Dwayne Lee and Chet Stachitas - played all 40 minutes against Temple. SJU only used eight players in the game, with Dave Mallon getting the most minutes of the reserves, playing a season-high 25 minutes. Mallon was pressed into more duty because of his experience and Ahmad Nivins had picked up three quick fouls. SHOOTING FOR SIX: Among the Hawks goals this season is to become the first team in Atlantic 10 history to win six consecutive regular-season titles. With five titles, SJU is currently tied with the Massachusetts teams from 1991 to CLASS ACT: During their three years, seniors Dwayne Lee, D a v e M a l l o n and Chet Stachitas have been part of a 43-7 re c o rd in conference games. ODD SPOT: With three teams at 2-0 in the A-10, the Hawks find themselves in an unusual position - second place. Prior to the loss to Xavier on Jan. 4, the Hawks had been out of first place for just a total of eight days since Febru a ry Now leading up to the game with UMass, that total will increase to 14 days. SURE SHOTS: F ree throw shooting has been one of the team s s t rengths, and the Hawks started last week (1/2) as the nation s leader at 80.8 percent. Following the 9-for-10 eff o rt vs. Temple, they still lead the A-10 at 80.3 percent. It s a definite improvement from last year when S J U h o v e red around the 50 to 60 percent mark at the line. A b d u l a i J a l l o h is the team s leader at 90 percent, with all five starters convert i n g 77 percent or better. The Hawks own three of the top five spots in the Atlantic 10 rankings for free throw percentage (Jalloh, Chet Stachitas, Dwayne Lee). After not going to the line at all in the first half vs. Te m p l e, the Hawks made 9-of-10 in the second half.

SAINT JOSEPH S BASKETBALL - PG. 4 DEPTH CHARGES: The Hawks lack of depth on the frontline became evident vs. Xavier when Dave Mallon left early in the second half with the eye injury. Rob Ferguson had to re-enter the game, playing with three fouls. Artur Surov saw more action in the game, with Mallon on the sidelines, but went without a point or a rebound. Phil Martelli used only eight players vs. Temple, with three starters - Dwayne Lee, Abdulai Jalloh, Chet Stachitas - playing 40 minutes. Mallon saw significant time (25 minutes) as Ahmad Nivins picked up three fouls in the first half. UP AND DOWN: The Hawks offensive production has been like a ro l l e r- coaster ride. They ve scored 90 or more points twice this year (Gonzaga, Davidson), but have also been held in the 50-point range twice (Te m p l e, X a v i e r, Bucknell). The team s scoring average is currently OUTSIDE THE ARC: SJU used its 3-point shooting to its advantage against the Temple zone, hitting 11-for-17 (64.7%) from beyond the arc in the first half alone. Abdulai Jalloh led the way, making 6-of-7 longrange shots. The Hawks finished with a 14-for-26 eff o rt in the game and continue to lead the Atlantic 10, hitting 41.8 percent of their 3-point attempts. On the other side of the ball, SJU has not defended the thre e v e ry well, allowing its opponents to shoot 42.2 percent from beyond the a rc, the worst mark in the Atlantic 10. GIVING IT AWAY: The Hawks committed 15 turnovers vs. Xavier, p rompting Phil Mart e l l i to question his team s physical toughness. We give that team one three (pt. FG) and seven offensive rebounds, but the number that stands out to me is 15 turnovers. You can't have balls taken out of your hands," he said. "I'm not questioning the mental toughness of this group, but the physical toughness has to dramatically improve if w e ' re going to play at this level." SLUMP BUSTER: After a three-game slump, Chet Stachitas re t u rn e d to his early-season form with a 24-point eff o rt at #8 Gonzaga. Stachitas shot 8-for-15 from the field and 5-for-10 from 3-point range. Earlier this y e a r, in front of a national t.v. audience, the senior put on a shooting clinic at Madison Square Garden, tying his care e r-high with 27 in the win over Kansas (Dec. 6). He made 9-of-12 from the field, with 6-of-7 fro m beyond the arc. In the three games prior to Gonzaga, Stachitas had averaged just 8.3 ppg and was converting 6-of-27 field goals and 3-of-16 of his 3-point attempts. PRIME TIME PLAYER: Abdulai Jalloh t u rned in another big eff o rt on national t.v., with 27 points at #8 Gonzaga. The sophomore scored 19 in the second half while shooting 6-for-12 from the field, 10-for-10 fro m the line and making 5-of-9 3-pointers. Coupled with a 21-point perf o rmance at Saint Mary s, Jalloh s averages for the week were 24.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists, earning him Big 5 Player of the We e k h o n- ors. He went 11-for-21 (52.3%) f rom the field, 7-for-12 (58.3%) fro m beyond the arc, and 19-for-20 from the foul line. Earlier this season, Jalloh established a new care e r-high with 30 vs. Ohio State. TOUGH STA RT: The Hawks don t get a breather with the early Atlantic 10 schedule. They open with three of four games against teams that w e re picked among the top four in league, as predicted by the coaches - Xavier (4th), Temple (3rd) and George Washington (1st). SJU was picked seventh. FERG S FINEST: Rob Ferg u s o n had the kind of game the Hawks have been waiting for, when he scored a care e r-high 20 in the win at Saint M a ry s. The sophomore eclipsed his personal best by halftime with 16 points on 7-for-9 shooting. He was not as strong in the second half, making just one of five shots. But he did take 14 shots, compared to the just two he attempted at Bucknell. BENCHMARKS: Depth is one of the Hawks weaknesses and Martelli has not gotten much scoring from his bench. In the past six games combined, SJU has gotten 38 points from the reserves - 3 pts vs. Ohio State; 0 pts vs. Bucknell and Xavier; and 11 vs. Saint Mary s. The best effort was 15 points at Gonzaga by Dave Mallon (7 pts), Pat Calathes (6 pts) and Artur Surov (2 pts). The Hawks had nine bench points in the win over Temple, but they were all from Mallon. FOR THREE: The Hawks set a McCarthey Athletic Pavilion re c o rd by hitting 15 3-pointers against Gonzaga. SJU is now averaging point field goals per game, the most in the Atlantic 10. ON BOARD: The Hawks are rebounding by committee with no dominant player on the boards. Ahmad Nivins c u rrently leads with 5.5 per game while guard Abdulai Jalloh is second on the team with 5.0. SJU s rebounding margin is just +1.6 as the Hawks were beat on the board s margin by Saint Mary s and by Gonzaga. SLOW STA RT E R S : SJU has gotten off to slow starts in three games - Davidson, Kansas, Ohio State - and was able to overcome the early deficit only against Kansas. Here s a rundown of the starts and results: G a m e S t a rt Biggest Deficit R e s u l t D a v i d s o n pts (2nd half) loss in OT K a n s a s pts (2nd half) win Ohio State pts (2nd half) loss THE SET-UP MAN: Dwayne Lee led the Atlantic 10 in assists last season and currently holds the lead again this year with his 5.5 average. If Lee were to finish this season atop the rankings, he would become only the second player in conference history to lead the league in assists for two consecutive years. The other player to do that was Lee s mentor, Hawk great Jameer Nelson. Lee needs nine assists to reach 300 in his c a re e r. KEEPING THEM DOWN: In five of the last eight games, Saint Joseph s has held the opponents leading scorer below his average. And although G o n z a g a s Adam Morrison had 25 points, he did most of his damage f rom the foul line, as SJU held him without a second-half field goal. D rexel - Dominick Mejia (15.2 ppg) - 8 pts Kansas - Sasha Kaun (15.4 ppg) - 2 pts Ohio State - Te rence Dials (15.3 ppg) - 5 pts Saint Mary s - Daniel Kickert (17.0 ppg) - 13 pts Gonzaga - Adam Morrison (28.0 ppg) - 25 pts FOUL PLAY: One thing that has hindered the Hawks has been the number of personal fouls. SJU has already had 10 disqualifications in 11 games - - last season, they had a total of 11 in 36 games. Rob Ferg u s o n has fouled out three times while Ahmad Nivins and Dwayne Lee h a v e each fouled out twice.

SAINT JOSEPH S BASKETBALL - PG. 5 NIVINS NUMBERS: F reshman Ahmad Nivins re g i s t e red his first collegiate double-figure game with 14 points at Davidson, while also adding nine rebounds and making all 10 of his free throw attempts. He bettere d that with a 17-point perf o rmance at Bucknell, shooting 7-for-10 fro m the field. He re c o rded the first double-double of his care e r, with 12 points and a season-high 12 rebounds vs. Xavier. The freshman tops the Hawks in blocked shots (1.3) and re b o u n d s ( 5. 5 ). SENIOR SPA R K : After starting 58 games in his care e r, Dave Mallon h a s adjusted to his role coming off the bench. The senior has provided a spark, and some key baskets, and is averaging 19.2 minutes per game. A look at Mallon s highlights: team-high 8 rebounds vs. Lafayette season-high 13 points at Davidson - game-tying 3-pt FG at the buzzer 6 points vs. Drexel - 4 straight to keep SJU s lead at double digits 7 points at Gonzaga 9 points vs. Temple, including all of the points in a 7-0 run that bro u g h t SJU back from a six-point deficit HOME SWEET HOME: Since (and counting this season), the Hawks own a 50-5 re c o rd in Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse. Seniors Dwayne Lee, Dave Mallon and Chet Stachitas have only lost thre e games on the home court in their careers, posting a 30-3 re c o rd. Xavier has been responsible for two of those defeats on Jan. 4, 2006 and M a rch 5, Bucknell handed SJU its lone defeat in the Fieldhouse last season, on Dec. 28, This year s loss to Xavier ended a 13-game Atlantic 10 winning streak in the Fieldhouse, and a 10-game overall streak on the home court. BALANCED AT TA C K : After losing one of the top scorers in school history in Pat Carroll, there was a preseason question as to who would e m e rge as a top score r. The Hawks have taken the more balanced a p p roach with three players currently averaging double figure s. Abdulai Jalloh leads the way with 17.1 ppg, followed by Chet Stachitas with 15.3 and Dwayne Lee with 12.3 ppg. STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE: The Hawks are facing a challenging schedule this year, meeting seven teams which reached the 2005 NCAA To u rnament. And when looking at ESPN s early-season predictions, SJU has 10 NCAA teams on the slate with 12 games against ESPN's preseason NCAA To u rnament bracket: Davidson, Kansas, Ohio State. Bucknell, Gonzaga, Xavier (twice), George Washington (twice), Charlotte, Pennsylvania and Villanova. SJU just finished an eight-game s t retch in which it faced seven of those teams. HIGH PROFILE HAWKS: Saint Joseph s will make a school-record eight appearances on national television this season. The next one is January 17 vs. Charlotte (ESPN2) FILLING THE VOID: For the second consecutive season, head coach Phil Martelli has to replace an Atlantic 10 Player of the Year (Pat Carroll) and a player who left early to pursue a career in the NBA (Dwayne Jones). With their departures, the Hawks also lost over 2,000 points and 1,110 rebounds. Carroll averaged 18.3 points and was named the conference s Co-Player of the Year, as well as an Honorable Mention All-America by AP. Dwayne Jones, an All-A-10 selection and the league s Defensive Player of the Year, entered the NBA Draft and although going undrafted, signed a contract with the MAGIC NUMBERS Has Needs Milestone Dwayne Lee 291 assists assists Chet Stachitas 850 points 150 1,000 points HONOR ROLL Abdulai Jalloh Big 5 Player of the Week (Jan. 3) Minnesota Timberwolves. The previous year, Jameer Nelson captured national and conference player of the year honors and was a first-round NBA Draft pick along with Delonte West, who left SJU after his junior year. CLASS ACT: Fourth-year seniors Dwayne Lee, Dave Mallon and Chet Stachitas have had a great deal of success thus far on Hawk Hill, and will be striving to take their place among the best four-year classes in school history. The trio has now compiled an record (76.1 win. pct.) in their four years to date. The school record is set by Jameer Nelson and Tyrone Barley, while last year s duo of Pat Carroll and John Bryant compiled a mark. COMEBACK KIDS: Saint Joseph s fought back from a 17-4 deficit against Kansas to score the win. It was the largest deficit overcome for a victory this year. ALL IN THE FAMILY: Coaching certainly runs in the Martelli blood as the head coach s two sons are currently working the sidelines. Oldest son Philip, Jr., a 2003 SJU graduate, is an assistant coach at Manhattan College. Jimmy, a 2005 graduate of Dickinson College, is assisting at his alma mater. OUT OF ACTION: Junior forward Arvydas Lidzius has not participated in games thus far this season in order to concentrate on academics. His progress will be re-evaluated during the semester break to determine his status for future games. Jordan Fowler will also not participate until academic concerns are addressed. JERSEY GUYS: Starting point guard Dwayne Lee welcomes fellow St. Anthony graduate Ahmad Nivins into the starting lineup. The duo both played for the scholastic power and are among those featured in the book, The Miracle of St. Anthony, which chronicles a season with the team. SIGN THEM UP: Phil Martelli locked up another strong recruiting class as four scholastic standouts signed national letters of intent to attend SJU in the fall of The class is one of seven from the Atlantic 10 to be ranked among the nation s top 50 by Hoop Scoop. Here s the class at a glance: Jawan Carter (6-0, G)- Chester, PA/Tatnall School (DE) Darrin Govens (6-1, G)- Chester, PA/Chester H.S. Rockwell Moody (6-9, F)- Arlington, VA/Bishop O Connell H.S. D.J. Rivera (6-2, G)- Philadelphia, PA/Neumann-Goretti H.S. THREE FOR ALL: SJU owns a streak of 371 straight games with at least one 3-pointer made, a string which began at the start of the season. The last game in which a Saint Joseph s team did not hit a three was at Southwest Missouri State on Mar. 18, 1993.

SAINT JOSEPH S BASKETBALL - PG. 6 RACKING THEM UP: SJU ranks 15th among Division I basketball programs for average amount of wins over the last five years, compiling a record (75.3 pct), averaging 24.4 victories per year. Including this season s record, that number is now (74.0) in six years. A-10 EXPANSION: The Atlantic 10 Conference has expanded to 14 teams this year with the addition of Charlotte and Saint Louis. The league has abandoned the two-division format and be one, 14-team entity. The A-10 now encompasses eight states and the District of Columbia, and places the conference in 12 of the top 59 media markets in the country. A total of seven Saint Joseph s graduates have gone on to become head coaches in the NBA, and SJU is now tied with Illinois for second on the list of universities with alums that have served as NBA head coaches. Indiana tops the list with 11 graduates that have coached in the league. Below is the list of former Hawks who have been NBA head coaches. Player (Class) NBA Teams W-L (yrs.) Boyle, 63, served as head coach of the Hawks from 1981 to 1990, compiling a re c o rd in nine seasons. Bo led the Hawks to post-season play four times, with two trips to the NCAA To u rnament and two to the NIT. His victory total is the fourth best in school history. Boyle had the unique distinction of being a part of Hawk history as a player, an assistant coach and head coach. He had a connection with all of the SJU coaches from the past four decades, including the present. Boyle played for Hall of Famer Dr. Jack Ramsay and served as an assistant coach on the staffs of Jack McKinney, Harry Booth and Jim Lynam. Boyle also worked with John Griffin, when they w e re assistants to Lynam. Then during his tenure as head coach, Boyle h i red current SJU mentor Phil Martelli as an assistant coach in The Hawks will be wearing a black patch with his nickname, Bo, for the rest of the season, to honor Boyle s memory. LOOKING AHEAD: The Hawks travel to defending A-10 champion G e o rge Washington on Saturd a y, January 14. SJU re t u rns home to host Charlotte on Tuesday (1/17) in a nationally-televised game (ESPN2). 9 SAINT JOSEPH S BASKETBALL - PG. 9 SEASON OF CELEBRATIONS The season is a special one for Saint Joseph s and Philadelphia basketball. It marks the 50th anniversary of the Saint Joseph s Hawk mascot and also the golden anniversary of the Philadelphia Big 5. THE HAWK The Saint Joseph s Hawk mascot has been flapping its wings for almost half a century, and celebrates its golden anniversary in One of the most famous mascots in college sports, the Hawk is best known for staying in constant motion by flapping its wings throughout every basketball game and representing the Saint Joseph s motto, The Hawk Will Never Die. The idea for the Hawk as a mascot was originated by Jim Brennan during the season. Brennan, an ex-marine and SJU cheerleader, at first wanted to secure an actual hawk, but later switched to the costume idea. The student government raised the 120 dollars needed to buy the initial costume, which Brennan donned for three years. He made his debut as the Hawk on January 4, 1956, a win over La Salle at the Palestra. The Hawk has not missed a men s basketball game since that first season. In addition to the constant flapping, the Hawk is also recognized by its flying in figu re eights around the court during timeouts. The constant motion, coupled with the scrappy play of the University s athletic teams, helped to spawn the school s familiar slogan The Hawk Will Never Die! A few years ago, ESPN used a flap-o-meter on the national telecast of a Saint Joseph s game to estimate that the Hawk flaps its wings 3,500 times during a regulation game. The Hawk is unique because it is one of the few mascots in the nation that travels to e v e ry game, and the student who holds the position gains a full scholarship. The student, who is selected through an interview process during the previous spring semester, also serves as a team manager for the men s basketball team and travels with the squad. A n d rew Moral is this year s Hawk mascot, and the 29th student to wear the wings. He is a senior elementary education major from North Wales, PA. ON THE AIR RADIO: All Hawk games are broadcast on SportsTalk 950 (WPEN-AM) with the Saint Joseph s Sports Network team of Tom McCarthy and Joe Lunardi providing play-by-play and color commentary, respectively. The broadcast of Saint Joseph s basketball can also be heard via the internet at McCarthy, in his third year with SJSN, has just been named the play-byplay announcer for the New York Mets radio broadcasts, after three years with the Philadelphia Phillies. Lunardi, in his 16th year on the Hawks radio broadcasts, is the Assistant Vice President for University Communications at the Saint Joseph s, and is a college basketball analyst for ESPN. Broadcasts can also be accessed by Teamline, calling (access code 4280). HAWKTALK : Phil Martelli s HawkTalk celebrates its 10th anniversary in The most unique coach s television show in college basketball, it was named the Best Coach s Show in the Nation by The Sporting News. Martelli s show combines a Tonight Show format with unique guests and just a few basketball highlights. The show airs on Thursday nights on Comcast SportsNet. INTERNET: Information for Saint Joseph s basketball is found at SJU s athletics website, Game notes, live in-game statistics for all Hawk home games, and selected road games, and streaming audio of every radio broadcast can be accessed at the site. UNIVERSITY FACTS THE BIG 5 The Philadelphia Big 5 was born on November 23, 1954, when administrators at the five major Universities in the city f o rmulated a partnership. They agreed to participate in a men s basketball round robin- the City Series - at the Palestra on Pennsylvania s campus. For 50 years, the rivalries and comraderie have made this one of the most intense and unique arrangements in college sports. The first Big 5 game was played on December 14, 1955, with Saint Joseph s defeating Villanova, The anniversary will be commemorated this season with a number of events, with one of the feature games being the nationally-televised Saint Joseph s - Villanova matchup on February 7. Founded in 1851 Undergraduate enrollment is 4,250, an increase of nearly 1,500 from a decade ago. Graduate enrollment is 3,200. Third-year President is Timothy R. Lannon, S.J.
