The Hoosiers are ranked 22nd in the AP Poll and 24th in the USA Today Coaches Poll. The Hoosiers are coming off a loss at #2 Michigan. The Terrapins have won 6 of 7 after a win at Minnesota, THE COACHES Indiana Coach Archie Miller is in his second season of guiding the Cream and Crimson. He has a record and 12-1 ledger in the Big Ten since taking over the Hoosiers. He is in 7-plus years as a head coach, which includes 6 years at the University of Dayton. His Flyer teams made NCAA Tournament appearances in each of his last four seasons, including a trip to the Elite Eight in 214. Senior forward Juwan Morgan and freshman guard Romeo Langford were selected to the 1-member Preseason All-Big Ten team. Both are among 5 players listed as candidates for the 219 Naismith Trophy and Wooden Award and Langford is among 2 players on the NABC Player of the Year watch list. Langford was named third-team Preseason All- American by ESPN.com and CBSSports.com and earned fourth-team honors from WatchStadium.com. Morgan also is up for the 219 Senior CLASS Award. Morgan earned Big Ten Player of the Week honors and USBWA Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week accolades after his recordsetting 35-point effort against Butler. He has scored 1,4 career points. Langford s 2-point effort in his first Big Ten game is the most by an IU true freshman in their first conference outing since Eric Gordon had 25 in his first B1G contest at Iowa in 28. He is the only Hoosier to score in double digits every game and has been named Big Ten Freshman of the Week three times. including this week. He averaged 22.5 points, 6 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the Hoosiers against Illinois and Michigan. Coach Archie Miller s squad is the top shooting team in the Big Ten, and 2nd in the country, making 51.9% of its shots. The Hoosier are 8th in the country in 2-point field goal percentage at 59.2%. IU is 11th in the nation in effective field goal percentage at 57.6%. Morgan had the second triple-double in program history (Steve Downing vs. Michigan, 1971, blocks) with 1 points, 1 boards and 1 assists against Jacksonville. He is the Hoosiers first forward or center ever to notch 1 assists in a game. He followed that with his 6th double-double of the season (15th career), a 15-point, 1-board effort against Illinois.

IU trailed by as many as 19 and could get no closer than a 57-5 deficit with just under 11 minutes to go in the game. The Hoosiers committed a season-low 7 turnovers. In the last two games, has shotiu shot 72.5% from the line making 37 of 51 charity tosses, including 12 of 16 against the Wolverines. IU is now 3rd in the country in field goal percentage at 51.9%. The Hoosiers held the Wolverines without a 3-point field goal in the second half (-7) as Michigan finished the game making 25.% from long distance. IU is holding opponents to 29.4% shooting from long distance in 16 games. Senior Juwan Morgan led the Hoosiers with 25 points and 8 rebounds. Langford, 4th, 33.1 SOME EARLY MILLER ERA BESTS IU eclipsed the century mark for the first time under Archie Miller when it scored 14 points against Chicago State. The team scored a season-high 87 points three times last year. In addition, the 39 field goals in that game topped last season s best of 33. The Hoosiers 13 steals against the Illini also were a program best under Miller. IU s 35 free throws attempted against Illinois were the most by a Miller team at IU. The Hoosiers 35 points allowed against Montana State topped last year s lowest total points allowed (43, at Rutgers). The 16 points allowed in the second half also matched last years fewest points allowed in a half (16, 1st half at Rutgers). Devonte Green MORGAN NAMED BIG TEN PLAYER OF THE WEEK AND USBWA NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK After leading IU to a win over Butler in the Crossroads Classic, senior Juwan Morgan was named Big Ten Conference Player of the Week and the Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week by the United States Basketball Writers Association of America (USBWA) (December 17). He received similar honors a season ago after guiding IU to a win over Notre Dame in the same event. Morgan scored a career-high 35 points, breaking his career-high and tournament record from last year (34 points) in leading IU to a comeback win over Butler in the Crossroads Classic. IU trailed by 11 in the first half and by 9 midway through the second half. He made 12 of 14 field goal attempts, four of six from long distance and all seven of his FTs. In addition, he had two steals and two blocks. His steal with 3:5 led to him making two game-tying free throws and on the next possession, he gave IU its first lead of the game. Morgan is seventh in the league in scoring (17.3), second in three-point field goal percentage (48.1%), fifth in field goal percentage (67.2%) and 1th in rebounds (7.6). He finishes his three-game career at the Crossroads Classic second in total points scored (75) and points per game (25.) among those who have competed in the eight-year event. Morgan, a native of Waynesville, Mo., is a candidate for the Naismith Award, Wooden Award and Senior CLASS Award. MORGAN S NUMBERS DON T LIE Senior Juwan Morgan joined an elite group of active collegiate players with a blocked shot against Central Arkansas on Dec. 19. He is one of 11 ACTIVE players in the country to amass the following career totals (Morgan s totals): 1, career points (1,8) 5 career rebounds (587) 1 career assists (124) 1 career blocked shots (14) Of the 1 other players on the list - NOT including Morgan, two are from the Big Ten (Ethan Happ - WIS, Jordan Murphy - MINN). Morgan now ranks 1th all-time in blocks at IU.

He scored 3,2 points in his career at New Albany High School, including 35.5 points per game as a senior. He was rated the fifth best recruit in the country by 247 and ESPN. He leads Big Ten freshmen and is 7th in the country among his classmates in scoring (18.2). He has been honored as Big Ten Freshman of the Week 3 times. He had his first career double-double against Arkansas when he scored 22 and added 1 boards. He scored 17 of his gamehigh 19 points against Chicago State in the first half. He also added 2 points against UC Davis. He had 2 points, including the game winner against Northwestern. He led the team with 17 points at Penn State and led the Hoosiers with 21 points against Louisville. He had his second career double-double with 18 points and a career-high 11 boards against Central Arkansas. He had a career-high 28 point performance against Illinois and had 17 at Michigan. He is 2nd on the team in rebounds (5.7), assists (39) and blocks (15). He is the only Hoosier to score in double figures in every game this season. He is averaging 8.5 points and 4.1 rebounds and matched his season-high with 13 points against Jacksonville. He had 9 points and 9 boards against Louisville and 7 key points against Butler. He had 1 points against UCA. Senior guard Zach McRoberts has started 22 career games at IU, including 17 last season. He shot a team-best 39.4% from three-point range. Including his first year at Vermont, he is a career 37.1% shooter from long distance. He is in graduate school in the Kelley School of Business studying Business Analytics. He missed the Jacksonville game with lingering back issues which have caused him to miss 5 games this season. He came back against Illinois and tied his career-best with 4 steals. Junior center De Ron Davis is coming back from a torn Achilles heel which caused him to miss the last 16 games of last season. He was averaging 9.6 points and 4.3 rebounds at the time of his injury and was shooting a Big Ten best 61.5% from the field when he got hurt. He has started 19 career games. This year, he has averaged 11.2 minutes per game and is averaging 4.8 points and 2.1 rebounds, while shooting 61.8% from the floor. He had his first double-figure scoring effort since coming back from the injury with 1 points at Arkansas. and had 1 points at Duke. He had 8 points and 3 boards against Louisville. He did not play at Michigan (ankle). Junior guard Devonte Green has started 18 career games. He has averaged 1.8 points in his last five games. He chipped in 15 points off the bench against Chicago State. He hit 2 big triples at Penn State and had 5 points and 5 assists against Butler. He had his best game of the season against Central Arkansas with 19 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. He hit a career-high 6 3FG. Against Jacksonville he had 13 points, 5 assists and 2 steals. He had 9 points and 3 assists at Michigan. Redshirt freshman forward Race Thompson scored his first career basket against Montana State. He has been out with a concussion since early November. Sophomore guard Al Durham has started 22 career games as a Hoosier and 13 this season. He is 4th on the team averaging 8.4 points and is shooting 41.5% from three-point range. He had a career-high 18 point effort against Jacksonville and tied a career-high with his three triples. He also had a career-high with 3 3FGM at Arkansas. He had 12 points at Penn State. Freshman guard Rob Phinisee is the first Lafayette native to earn a scholarship from IU since 1948 and played for the same AAU program (Indiana Elite) that produced Jordan Hulls, Cody Zeller and Yogi Ferrell. 7 THE COMEBACK TRAIL In its last 8 wins, the Hoosiers have overcome a deficit. IU trailed against UC Davis (14), Northwestern (5), Penn State (9), Louisville (8), Butler (11), Central Arkansas and Jacksonville (5) and Illinois (1). IU trailed Northwestern, 61-58, with 3:3 left in the game when senior Juwan Morgan went out due to a leg injury. He did not return and IU outscored the Wildcats, 1-5. They held Northwestern to 2 of 9 shooting, while making 3 of 4 shots and 4 of 6 FT. Romeo Langford hit the goahead floater with 39.7 seconds left and also deflected the ball off a Wildcat on the ensuing defensive possession. Against Penn State, the Nittany Lions led 9-, but the Hoosiers came back and led by as many as 14 in the second half. PSU rallied and had a chance to tie or win the game with 2.3 seconds left, but freshman Rob Phinisee knocked away the inbound pass and sophomore Justin Smith fell on it as time ran out. She is the sister of men s basketball traansfer Evan Fitzner. Fitzner, a native of San Diego, Calif., is an AVCA First Team Under Armour All-American and represents the first AVCA First Team Under Armour All-American in Indiana volleyball program history. Fitzner played high school volleyball at Torrey Pines, one of the most successful programs in the history of the CIF-San Diego Section. The program has earned 16 CIF Championships and appeared in three State CIF Finals. In 217 the team ranked #5 in the final MaxPreps National Rankings. In her senior season, Fitzner helped the team to a 33-4 record. Davis is ranked #15 in the country by 247 Sports Composite, 17th by ESPN and #18 in the nation by Rivals.com. He also is #14 in USA Today s Chosen 25 for the 219 class. He will be a four-year letterwinner for the Trojans, who are coached by Zach Hahn, and has led them to back-to-back sectional titles. He averaged 22.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.7 blocked shots and 2.8 assists per game as a junior. IMPRESSIVE DEFENSIVE IMPACT Coming into the game, Marquette All- American Markus Howard was averaging 26.5 points per game, including a 37 point effort against Bethune Cookman. Hoosier guards Rob Phinisee and Al Durham deserve a great deal of credit for never allowing Howard to become comfortable. They held Howard to just 7 first half points and forced 3 early turnovers as IU jumped out to a 19-4 lead. Howard finished with 18 points, but made just 1-of-5 three-point FG attempts. The Hoosiers also held the Penn State duo of forward Lamar Stevens (22.4 ppg.) and guard Josh Reeves (11.7 ppg.) to just 15 points in the IU win in Happy Valley. Stevens. Both had seasonlows in points with Stevens at 12 and Reeves with just 3. HUNTER UNDERGOES SURGERY Indiana University men s basketball coach Archie Miller announced that freshman Jerome Hunter underwent surgery at the Cleveland Clinic to treat a lower body condition that first developed early in the semester. His is recovering from the procedure and has returned to campus. Hunter, who has not seen any game action, will remain out indefinitely. Due to HIPPA laws, the program is not allowed to comment on specifics of the condition. HOOSIERS MOURNING LOSS OF ERIC ANDERSON The Indiana University men s basketball program is saddened to learn of the passing of former Hoosier, Eric Anderson on December 9. He was 48. Anderson played for the Hoosiers from and earned a degree in sociology. He ranks 11th on IU s all-time scoring list with 1,715 career points and was a member of Big Ten Championship teams in 1989 and 1991 and earned Most Outstanding Player honors in the 1992 NCAA West Regional where he helped lead the Hoosiers to the Final Four that season. He also earned 1989 Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors after averaging 11.9 points and 6.1 rebounds. He earned firstteam All-Big Ten honors in 1991 after averaging 13.7 points and 7.1 boards. He averaged 16.3 points and 7. boards as a sophomore and 1.9 points and 5.1 rebounds as a senior. He scored 3 points against Purdue in 199. A Chicago, native, Anderson graduated from St. Francis de Sales High School where he was named Mr. Basketball in Illinois in 1988 and was a McDonald s All-American. He averaged 25 points and 13 rebounds as a senior and led his team to the Illinois Class AA finals. He was also a Parade and Converse All-American and earned the 1988 March of Dimes Award as the top amateur athlete in Chicago in He signed with the New York Knicks as an undrafted free agent and played for them from He played for the Ft. Wayne Fury in and and also played three seasons overseas. LONGTIME IU BEAT WRITER TERRY HUTCHENS PASSES AWAY Longtime Indiana sportswriter Terry Hutchens died December 21 afternoon from health complications caused by a stroke. Hutchens, 6, had been in critical condition at Community Hospital North since December 17. Hutchens had covered IU basketball and football, as well as other sports of statewide and national interest, since 216 for The Herald Bulletin and CNHI Sports Indiana, a collaborative effort of 13 Hoosier newspapers owned by CNHI. Hutchens was a graduate of the IU School of Journalism. He covered the Indianapolis Colts for the Fort Wayne News- Sentinel, then worked for the Indianapolis News and later the Indianapolis Star for a total of 27 years, covering IU basketball and football much of that time. A five-time recipient of the Indiana Sports Writer of the Year Award from the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association, Hutchens also wrote nine books about Indiana sports. Last time was against Kansas in 216, when the Hoosiers defeated the Jayhawk, in overtime in Hawaii. The Indiana bench made their contribution to the victory on Tuesday night with 51 points. MONTANA STATE POST Indiana allowed 35 points, its fewest allowed in a game since allowing 29 to Notre Dame on Dec. 18, IU improved to 3- all-time against the Montana State Bobcats. The Hoosiers held the Bobcats to shooting 25 percent from the field, the lowest mark for an opposing team since Rutgers shot 24.1 percent on Feb. 5, 218. Montana State shot 12 percent from three-point range, the lowest IU has allowed since Youngstown State shot 8 percent on Dec. 29, 217. MARQUETTE POST Indiana improved to 2-1 in the Gavitt Tipoff Games. Its other win in the event came against Creighton in 215. The 63.6 percent shooting is the most for IU in the Archie Miller era. The previous high was 59.1 percent against Illinois on Feb. 14, 218. After trailing 2- to open the game, the Hoosiers responded with 19-2 run lasting 4:31. On the run, Durham led the way with seven points and two rebounds. When IU took the 4-2 lead, it held it for the remaining 38:42 of the game. The 23-point victory is the largest margin of victory over a ranked team since Indiana beat No. 13 North Carolina by 24 points on Nov. 27, 212. ARKANSAS POST Indiana finished with a 4-32 advantage in rebounds. IU held Arkansas to 6-of-23 shooting from the 3-point line. IU trailed with 14:16 left in the game, before going on a 13-2 run over the next 4+ minutes to take its first lead of the second half, on a Morgan layup with 1:52 to go. UT ARLINGTON POST IU s largest lead of the night was 2 points, at with 18:6 to go. UTA cut the lead to 61-6 with 6:33 to go before IU closed the game out on a 17-4 run. UC DAVIS POST The Aggies jumped out to a 24-1 lead with 7:38 left in the first half. IU closed the gap to at halftime. UC Davis led 48-4 with 15:5 to go and held a 54-5 advantage with 7:55 to go. IU tied the game with 7:2 left on a Romeo Langford layup and then took the lead for good at on a Juwan Morgan tip-in with 5:43 remaining. IU s game winning run was 26-3 from the 7:55 mark until there were 51 seconds left in the contest. The Hoosiers held the Aggies to 1 of 7 shooting in that time frame and also forced six turnovers. DUKE POST Turnovers provided the undoing for the Hoosiers as Duke held a 24-7 advantge in scoring off of turnovers. IU shot a season-low 39.1 percent from the field after entering the game shooting 56.4% on the season. NORTHWESTERN POST Indiana shot over 5% from the field for the sixth time this season, shooting 55% and holding Northwestern to 44% shooting. The Hoosiers entered the game ranked 7th in the country in shooting at 52.6% IU trailed at the final media timeout with 3:33 to go. The Hoosiers held the Wildcats to 36.8% shooting from the field and 2.% from three-point range in the second half. Freshman guard Romeo Langford led the Hoosiers in points with 2. PENN STATE POST IU is 2- in the league for the first time since the 216 championship year and won its road league opener (at Rutgers) for the first time since that same season. IU beat the Nittany Lions for the 11th time in 13 games since 212. Penn State jumped out to a 9- lead in the first 16:14 of the game, but rallied to take a 13-1 lead with 8:11 remaining in the half. IU took the lead for good on a three-pointer by freshman Romeo Langford with 6:31 left in the half at and never trailed again. IU held its biggest lead at with 14:47 to go. PSU cut it to with 22 seconds left. After a missed Evan Fitzner free throw, PSU s Rasir Bolton missed a layup and the Nittany Lions gained possession. Rob Phinisee and Justin Smith forced a turnover by Lamar Stevens as time ran out. IU shot a season-best 78.6% from the line hitting 11 of 14 FT s. Conversely, Penn State made just 11 of their 26 free throws. LOUISVILLE POST This was the second straight game that IU held an opponent to under 4% shooting. Penn State shot 37.1% and Louisville finished at 38.3%, including 34.5% in the second half. Freshman guard Romeo Langford led the Hoosiers with 21 points, his fifth 2+ point game while making a career-high nine free throws on 14 attempts. Freshman guard Rob Phinisee hit a triple with 8:36 to go to give IU its first lead of the game at 49-47, and gave IU the lead for good with another bomb with 1:25 to go at BUTLER POST With the win, Indiana now leads the series with Butler, IU has won two of the last three meetings, both coming in the Crossroads Classic. Senior Juwan Morgan had a careerhigh 35 points, besting his previous Crossroads Classic record of 34 points last season. He finished his three-game event career with 75 points (2nd all-time to Notre Dame s Bonzie Colson 8) and averaged 25 points per game (2nd to Caleb Swanigan of Purdue who averaged 25.1). Freshman Rob Phinisee continued his late game heroics, with a game-winning 3-foot heave. He finished with 9 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and a steal in 27 minutes. He also hit a game-tying three-pointer in the final minute at Arkansas, had 7 straight points late in the second half at Penn State and hit the go-ahead triple with 1:22 left over Louisville. CENTRAL ARKANSAS POST After trailing at the 14:32 mark in the first half, Indiana went on a 19- run over the next 9:25 to take a lead. Indiana put up a 22- scoring run in the second half to extend the lead to 74-4 with 8:33 remaining in the game. Central Arkansas did not score a field goal for a period of 9:39 in the second half as the Hoosiers outscored the Bears in that stretch, IU has made 18 three-point field goals in the last 2 games. IU s 86 points scored is their most since they scored 96 against Marquette. JACKSONVILLE POST IU finished 9-2 in non-league action. Indiana shot 35-of-54 (.648) from the floor against Jacksonville, ranking as the 13th-best percentage since and the best effort since IU shot 66.7 percent against Delaware State on Dec. 19, 216. The 64.8 percent shooting is also the best for any Archie Miller coached team in his career. Also with the win, Indiana posted the program s first undefeated month (6-) since going 7- in November of 212. The Hoosiers had five scorers in double-figures - Al Durham (18), Romeo Langford (15), Justin Smith (13), Devonte Green (13) and Morgan (1) for the second time this season (Marquette).

10 ILLINOIS POST IU has won 7 straight games against Illinois in Bloomington. IU forced 21 Illinois turnovers, scoring 22 points of those miscues. It is the 4th time this season that an opponent committed 2 or more miscues in a game. It is the first time that IU has forced 2 turnovers or more in a league game since the Hoosiers forced 2 at Iowa last February.IU recorded season best in steals (13), free throw attempts (35) and free throws (25).The Hoosiers forced six Illinois shot clock violations. That is a school record. Over the final 6:53 minutes of the first half, the Hoosiers out-scored Illinois, 17-7, to end the half tied at Indiana held Illinois scoreless for the first 4:39 minutes of the second half, out-scoring the Illini, 8-, during that stretch. Freshman Romeo Langford led the Hoosiers with a career-high 28 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the floor. Langford also went 11-of-15 from the free throw line and added six rebounds and three assists. His free throws made and attempted were a season-high. Senior Juwan Morgan recorded the 15th double-double (sixth this season) of his career, totaling 15 points, 1 rebounds and four steals. It is his second straight double-double after he posted a triple-double (1 points, 1 boards, 1 assists) against Jacksonville. Sophomore Al Durham had nine points, one rebound and two steals in the victory.both junior Devonte Green and sophomore Justin Smith had eight points for IU. 22 ARCHIE MILLER Second Year at Indiana Eighth Year as College Head Coach Career Record: Overall 8-37 Conference Record at Indiana: Overall 12-1 Big Ten Named the 29th head coach of the Indiana Men s Basketball program on March 25, 217, by Indiana University Vice President and Director of Athletics Fred Glass.Care He won his 15th game as a head coach, January 14, 218, when the Hoosiers beat Northwestern, Miller saw the Hoosiers improve dramatically during the season. After seeing IU allow 76 points per game on 45.9 percent shooting and 41.7 percent accuracy from 3-point range in the month of November, IU limited teams to 65.4 points on 41.3 percent shooting from the floor and 33.1 percent from long distance in the month of February. IU posted a two-win improvement in the Big Ten from to He saw junior forward Juwan Morgan emerge as the most improved player in the Big Ten adding more than 1 points per game scoring in Big Ten play during the season. Morgan earned secondteam All-Big Ten honors and was named All-District by the USBWA and NABC in 218. Senior Rob Johnson averaged a career-best 14. points per game earned honorable mention All-Big-Ten honors his senior year. Regarded as one of the top young coaches in the country, Miller is a tireless recruiter, noted developer of talent, and a gifted tactician whose teams are known for their stout defense and efficient offense. His 218 recruiting class at IU was ranked 7th in the nation after a successful haul of players from the Big Ten footprint. Joining IU in 218 will be Indiana Mr. Basketball and McDonald s All-American guard Romeo Langford from New Albany, point guard Rob Phinisse from Lafayette and wing Damezi Anderson from South Bend. In addition, Ohio native and forward Jerome Hunter and Pennsylvania native and forward Jake Forrester, make up his first full recruiting class. The 4-year old native of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, came to IU after serving six seasons as head coach at the University of Dayton, where he won Atlantic 1 Conference regular season championships in 216 and 217. He guided the Flyers to a record (69.8) and a mark (66.7) in the Atlantic 1. He took Dayton to the NCAA Tournament each of the last four years with the Flyers advancing to the Elite Eight in the 214 Tournament. UD was nationally ranked in three of Miller s six seasons (213-14, and ). During their elite eight run, UD topped Ohio State (6-59), Syracuse (55-53) and Stanford (82-72) before falling to Florida (62-52) in the regional finals. In 215, they defeated Boise State (56-55) and Providence (66-53) and were eliminated by Oklahoma (72-66) in the Sweet Sixteen. In 216, they were defeated by Final Four participant Syracuse (7-51) in the second round and by Wichita State (64-58) in their first tournament game this season. Miller is one of five active coaches who had at least five NCAA wins in his first four seasons. The others are Mark Few, Thad Matta, Shaka Smart and Roy Williams. With three NCAA wins in 214 and another two in 215, Dayton was one of just six teams to have at least five NCAA tournament wins in those two years. The others were Arizona, UConn, Kentucky, Michigan State and Wisconsin. For his efforts during the season, he was named Atlantic 1 and NABC District Coach of the Year. He led UD to perform at a championship level despite playing a campaign where the team s top six scorers missed a total of 32 games during the year due to injury. He also was a finalist for the 215 Jim Phelan National Coach of the Year Award. He comes from a family of coaches with his father, John, having guided Archie and his brother Sean at Blackhawk High School in Beaver Falls. His brother Sean has been the head coach at the University of Arizona and also was the head coach at Xavier University. John was one of the country s top high school coaches when he retired in 25, with 657 wins in a 35- year coaching career. Archie, Sean and their sister Lisa all played Division I college basketball. Miller is regarded as a top recruiter Arizona s 211 recruits were a Top 1 class and game strategist he was the architect of the Wildcats upset of eighthranked Texas to get them to the Sweet 16. He was reunited with his brother during the summer of 215 on the coaching staff of USA Basketball s U19 World Championship. When Sean was elevated to the team s head coach, he turned to his brother to help USA basketball win the gold at the 215 FIBA U19 World Championship that was held June 27-July 5 in Heraklion, Crete, Greece. He was a four-year letterwinner at North Carolina State from A point guard, he is currently third at NC State in career FT% (.846, ), sixth in career 3-pt. FG% (.429, ), and fourth in career threes (218). As a senior, he helped lead the Wolfpack to the finals of the ACC championship game and was named to the all-tournament team. That season was coach Herb Sendek s first NCAA team at NC State. As an assistant, Miller coached in the Big Ten, Pac-12 and ACC, where he honed his craft under some of the most respected coaches in the country. He began his coaching career at NC State, serving as a coaching intern under Sendek in Miller then went to Western Kentucky as a full-time member of Darrin Horn s staff for one season. He returned to NC State, first as Director of Basketball Operations (24-5), and then as a fulltime assistant coach (25-6). When Sendek went to Arizona State in 26-7, Miller remained on his coaching staff before joining Thad Matta at Ohio State for two seasons (27-9). As a coach, he has been part of 2-plus win and NCAA seasons at NC State (25-6), Ohio State (28-9), Arizona (21-11), and Dayton (213-14, , and ). In April, 215, he joined his father and brother in the Beaver County Sports Hall of Fame.
