Illinois State 8 Troy Hayes Wait Pays Off redshirt sophomore Davon Hayes is entering his third season in the Golden Eagle program. However, he has yet to take the court. The Portsmouth, Va., native sat out the season due to academics. Last year, Hayes took part in summer workouts. However, during the team s summer trip to the Bahamas, Hayes injured his knee, causing him to miss the season. So far this year, Hayes is averaging 3.0 points and 1.1 rebounds in 12.1 minutes.
