Xavier is ranked a school-record No. 5 in the AP Poll and a school-record-tying No. 6 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Xavier is ranked No. 3 in the NCAA Official Men s Basketball RPI. Xavier head coach Chris Mack, who was named midseason National Coach of the Year by Sporting News, is 2nd on XU s all-time wins list (150). Xavier has four players with double-figure scoring averages. Xavier, BIG EAST rebound margin leader at +9.9 rpg., is ranked 13th in the nation. Xavier soph. Trevon Bluiett, who has scored in double figures in 17 of XU s 18 games, is the BIG EAST Player of the Week. Xavier freshman Edmond Sumner is BIG EAST Freshman of the Week for the third time this season. Xavier senior James Farr leads XU in rebounding at 8.8 rpg. (3rd in the BIG EAST) including his career-high 19-rebound game at Marquette. Xavier junior Myles Davis is first in the BIG EAST and 11th in the nation in free throw pct. at.900. Xavier has made more free throws (356) than its opponents have attempts (332). Xavier has made nine of the last 10 NCAA Tournaments, one of only 11 schools that have at least nine in that stretch. 3 THE XAVIER-SETON HALL SERIES: Seton Hall leads the series 7-4, although the two teams split the home-and-home series last season. Xavier won at Cintas Center (1-7-15) and Seton Hall won at the Prudential Center ( ). LAST YEAR S TWO MEETINGS: Xavier trailed by four points, 49-45, with 10:38 left at Cintas Center on Jan. 7, 2015, but finished on a 24-9 run to win handily Seton Hall led by 10 points early and at halftime at the Prudential Center on Jan. 31, 2015 and went on to a win despite a 19-point game from Trevon Bluiett. Xavier shot 74.4 percent (29-of-39) from 2-pont range but only 5.3 percent (1-of-19) from 3-point range for the game. FOR THE RECORD (SETON HALL): Seton Hall, 13-5 overall and 3-3 in the BIG EAST Conference, is coming off a loss to No. 4 Villanova on Wednesday night. FOR THE RECORD (XAVIER): Xavier, 16-2 overall and ranked No. 5 in the AP Poll and No. 6 in the USA Today Coaches Poll, is 4-2 in the BIG EAST Conference after its upset loss to Georgetown on Tuesday at Cintas Center. Xavier shot a season-low 35.3 percent from the field, while Georgetown shot 51.0 percent. Sophomore Trevon Bluiett led Xavier with 18 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Georgetown became the first team this season to outrebound Xavier as GU won the battle of the boards HOME SWEET HOME: Xavier is (.871) all-time at Cintas Center, including 9-1 this season. Xavier s all-time winning percentage at Cintas Center is ranked fourth in the nation at 87.1 percent as of Xavier is 1-1 vs. Seton Hall at Cintas Center. WIN STREAKS: Xavier s 12-0 start was the best start in school history. Xavier s 12- game winning streak was its longest since winning a school record 16 straight games in the season, the senior year of 2003 National Player of the Year David West. The 12-game winning streak tied for the third-longest in school history. XAVIER IN THE NATIONAL POLLS: Xavier, 16-2, rose from No. 7 to a school-record No. 5 in the Associated Press Poll and from No. 8 to a school-record-tying No. 6 in the USA Today Coaches Poll this week. This marks Xavier s ninth straight week in the AP Top 25 and its eighth straight week in the USA Today Coaches Poll Top 25. This is the fourth season Xavier has earned a spot in the AP Top 10 since For the record, XU is at No. 5 in the CBSSports. com Poll and No. 5 in NBCSports.com Poll. SCHOOL RECORD RANKINGS: Xavier, which spent two straight weeks at a then school-record No. 6 in both major polls earlier this season (Dec. 21 and 28), is a school-record No. 5 in this week s Associated Press Poll and a school-recordtying No. 6 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Xavier s previous high in the AP Poll before this season was No. 7 on Dec. 15, 2008 and Dec. 7, Xavier s previous high in the USA Today Coaches Poll before this season was No. 7 on Dec. 15, THE BIG EAST IS WELL-REPRESENTED IN THE NATIONAL POLLS: Xavier is one of four BIG EAST Conference teams in the latest AP Top 25, including Villanova (4), Xavier (5), Providence (16) and Butler (18). Xavier is also one of four BIG EAST Conference teams in the latest USA Today Coaches Poll, including Villanova (4), Xavier (6), Providence (17) and Butler (24). XAVIER VS. THE TOP 25: Xavier, which defeated then-no. 23 Cincinnati on Dec. 12 and then-no. 9 Butler on Jan. 2, is now 3-1 so far this season against the AP Top 25 including its loss at then-no. 16 Villanova on Dec. 31. Xavier won its first AP Top 25 challenge at then- No. 24 Michigan, on Nov. 20. Xavier was 6-4 vs. the Associated Press Top 25 last season. ROAD WARRIORS: Xavier, which is 7-1 away from Cintas Center this season, heads back on the road for a Tuesday game at No. 16 Providence. Xavier is 4-1 this season in road games, including wins at Marquette (74-66), at St. John s (74-66), at Michigan (86-70) and at Wake Forest (78-70). XU is 3-0 in neutral site games with wins over Alabama (64-45), USC (87-77) and Dayton (90-61). ONE MORE SUCCESSFUL BIG EAST ROAD TRIP: Xavier recorded a win at Marquette on Jan. 16. Xavier trailed by seven points, 18-11, with 12 minutes left but dominated the next eight minutes with a 21-0 run to take a lead with a litle over four minutes left in the half. XU led at halftime and extended that lead to 16 points, 52-36, before the 14-minute mark of the second half. Marquette never seriously threatened in the second half. Senior James Farr posted a monster game with 16 points (all in the first half; two points shy of his career high) to go with a career-high 19 rebounds, the most rebounds by an XU player since the 2013 season when Travis Taylor grabbed 19 in a win over St. Louis. Sophomore Trevon Bluiett led Xavier in scoring with 18 points, including 11 in the second half. MACK NAMED MIDSEASON NATIONAL COACH OF THE YEAR... SECOND ON XU S ALL-TIME WINS LIST: Xavier seventh-year head coach Chris Mack has been named midseason National Coach of the Year by Sporting News. Mack has recorded a (.673) mark in seven seasons so far, which is good for second on Xavier s all-time wins list. He passed Skip Prosser (148 wins in seven seasons from ) with the DePaul win on Jan. 12. Pete Gillen (202 wins in nine seasons from ) is first on the XU all-time wins list. Mack played under Gillen and then-gillen assistant Prosser and worked on Prosser s staffs at XU and Wake Forest. Mack has led Xavier to the NCAA Tournament five times in his six seasons at the helm. Mack is the first XU head coach to lead XU to three Sweet 16s, having led XU to the Sweet 16 in 2010, 2012 and XAVIER SWEPT THIS WEEK S MAJOR WEEKLY BIG EAST AWARDS: Sophomore Trevon Bluiett was named BIG EAST Conference Player of the Week and teammate Edmond Sumner was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on Jan. 18. This is the fifth time Bluiett has earned a weekly BIG EAST honor this season, having been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll four other times this season. For Sumner, this is the third time he has been selected as the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. In fact, he picked up where he left off before his Dec. 31 injury because Sumner won the award two straight weeks at the end of December. Bluiett led Xavier in scoring in a pair of wins, while averaging 21.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals for the week. Bluiett scored a career-high 24 points, including a career-high tying five 3-pointers, in the win over DePaul on Jan. 12. In the win at Marquette on Jan. 16, Bluiett scored a team-high 18 points. Sumner, playing his first game since an injury suffered in a fall at Villanova on Dec. 31, had 15 points, five assists and

4 three rebounds in the Jan. 16 victory at Marquette. XAVIER GETTING MORE DEFENSIVE: Xavier is ranked fourth in the BIG EAST in scoring defense (66.8 ppg.), fifth in the BIG EAST in field goal percentage defense (.406) and third in the BIG EAST in 3-point field goal percentage defense (.320). By comparison, for the season Xavier was ranked seventh in the BIG EAST in scoring defense (67.4 ppg.), eighth in field goal percentage defense (.435) and seventh in 3-point field goal percentage defense (.345). SCORING LEADERS: Xavier is third in the BIG EAST Conference in scoring offense at 79.6 ppg. and scoring margin at ppg. Xavier has won 12 games this season by double figures. All 16 of Xavier s wins have been by at least eight points. RUN, RUN, RUN: Xavier has put together some impressive runs, including 21-0 in the first half of the Jan. 16 win at Marquette, 25-0 (first half vs. Wright State on Dec. 8), 21-0 (second half vs. Dayton on Nov. 29) and 17-0 (first half vs. USC on Nov. 27). XU used a 21-4 second-half run, including 10-0 to start the second half, in a win at Wake Forest on Dec. 22. TRUE BALANCED SCORING: Xavier has four players with double-figure scoring averages and two more at 8.6 ppg. or more. Sophomore Trevon Bluiett (tied for seventh in the BIG EAST at 15.4 ppg.) leads the way followed by freshman Edmond Sumner (25th in the BIG EAST at 11.2 ppg.), junior Myles Davis (26th in the BIG EAST at 11.1 ppg.), senior James Farr (10.1 ppg.), junior Jalen Reynolds (9.6 ppg.) and sophomore J.P. Macura (8.6 ppg.). BOARD CHAIRMEN: Xavier leads the BIG EAST and is 13th in the nation in rebound margin at +9.9 rpg. Xavier has outrebounded 16 opponents and tied one in 18 games this season. Georgetown became the first team this season to outrebound Xavier when GU won the battle of the boards on Tuesday. Xavier outrebounded Michigan on Nov. 20, including an 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounding, Alabama on Nov. 26, USC on Nov. 27 and Dayton on Nov. 29. XU has three players ranked in the top 20 in the BIG EAST in rebounding. Senior James Farr leads the team in rebounding at 8.8 rpg. (third in the BIG EAST), including his career-high 19-rebound game at Marquette on Jan. 16, followed by sophomore Trevon Bluiett at 6.9 rpg. (tied for 10th in the BIG EAST) and junior Jalen Reynolds at 6.6 rpg. (tied for 14th in the BIG EAST). THREE GUYS HAVE SIGNED THE BUBBLE: When a Musketeer grabs a double-figure rebound total they are asked to sign the rebounding bubble, the device that sits over the rim for rebounding drills in practice. Senior James Farr has signed the bubble six times (including Jan. 16 after his 19-rebound game at Marquette) and leads the team with six double-figure rebound games. Sophomore Trevon Bluiett has done it four times and junior Jalen Reynolds has done it twice, including a game-high 13 at St. John s on Jan. 6. IF IT S FREE IT S FOR ME: Xavier has hit 356-of-481 from the free-throw line for 74.0 percent, which ranks third in the BIG EAST and 29th in the nation. Xavier has made more free throws (356) than its opponents have attempted (332). Three Xavier players are ranked in the top 15 in free-throw percentage in the BIG EAST: Junior Myles Davis leads the BIG EAST and is 11th in the entire nation (.900), sophomore Trevon Bluiett is ninth (.814) and sophomore J.P. Macura is 12th (.787). DAVIS IS A NATIONAL LEADER IN FREE- THROW PERCENTAGE: Junior Myles Davis leads the BIG EAST Conference and is 11th in the nation in free-throw shooting (.900). (Davis led the BIG EAST in freethrow shooting as a sophomore at.872). Davis had hit 24 straight free throws until missing one of his four tries on Jan. 12 vs. DePaul. BLUIETT HAS BEEN A LEADER: Sophomore guard Trevon Bluiett leads Xavier in scoring at 15.4 ppg. (tied for seventh in the BIG EAST Conference) and 3-point field goals made (third in the BIG EAST at 2.4 mpg.). Bluiett is second on the team in rebounding at 6.9 rpg. (tied for 10th in the BIG EAST). BLUIETT IS DOUBLING UP: Sophomore Trevon Bluiett has scored in double figures in 17 of the first 18 games, including a team-high 18 (11 in the second half) in the win at Marquette on Jan. 16 and a career-high 24-point effort in XU s game vs. DePaul on Jan. 12 (19 in the first half alone). Bluiett, who connected on a career-high tying five 3-pointers vs. DePaul, has scored in double figures in each of the last eight games and had a streak of nine straight games to start the season. DOUBLE THE PRODUCTION: Sophomore Trevon Bluiett has four double-doubles in scoring-rebounding this season and five for his career, including his 18-point, 10-rebound, career-high tying five-assist game on Tuesday vs. Georgetown. His other three double-doubles this season include 21 points and 10 rebounds vs. Western Kentucky on Dec. 5 and a careerhigh 22 points with 11 rebounds vs. Wright State on Dec. 8. Bluiett led Xavier against NKU on Nov. 23 with 14 points, a career-high 16 rebounds and a career-high tying five assists. He just missed another double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds at Wake Forest on Dec. 22. BLUIETT BIG EAST HONORS: Sophomore guard Trevon Bluiett was named BIG EAST Conference Player of the Week on Jan. 18 after averaging 21.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 blocks and 2.0 steals in a pair of Xavier wins (DePaul on Jan. 12 and at Marquette on Jan. 16). Bluiett scored a career-high 24 in the win over DePaul on the strength of a careerhigh tying five 3-pointers and scored 18 in the win at Marquette. This marks the fifth weekly honor for Bluiett this season, having earned BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll awards in four other weeks. BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll #4: Bluiett won it on Dec. 28 after scoring 17 points and grabbing nine rebounds in the win at Wake on Dec. 22. BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll #3: Bluiett earned the honor Dec. 7 after leading XU vs. Western Kentucky on Dec. 5 with a career-high tying 21 points to go with 10 rebounds. Both totals were also game highs. BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll #2: Bluiett won it Nov. 30 after averaging 14.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.0 steals per game in four Xavier wins (NKU, Alabama, USC and Dayton). BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll #1: Bluiett earned the honor Nov. 23 after posting 16.5 ppg. and 8.0 rpg. and shooting 6-of- 11 from 3-point range in Xavier wins over Missouri on Nov. 17 and at Michigan on Nov. 20. Bluiett led Xavier with 18 points in the win over Missouri on Nov. 17 to go with seven rebounds and 15 points with nine rebounds at Michigan on Nov. 20.

5 MORE HONORS FOR BLUIETT: Sophomore Trevon Bluiett, who was named to the AdvoCare Invitational All-Tournament team earlier this season, is the No. 49 player in the monthly college basketball rankings for January on CBSSports.com. Bluiett, a preseason BIG EAST Honorable Mention selection, was listed as the No. 8 high impact sophomore in the nation in a preseason Sports Illustrated story. DAVIS IS STEPPING UP: Junior Myles Davis, who is third on the team in scoring at 11.1 ppg. (26th in the BIG EAST Conference), leads the team in assists (10th in the BIG EAST at 3.5 apg.) and assist-toturnover ratio (fourth in BIG EAST at 2.4) and ranks first in the BIG EAST and 11th in the entire nation in free-throw shooting (.900). (Davis led the BIG EAST in freethrow shooting as a sophomore at.872). Davis, who posted his 12th double-figure scoring game of the season with 15 vs. Georgetown on Tuesday, finished with 14 points and a season-high seven assists in the DePaul win on Jan. 12. Davis had a game-high 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field to go with three assists in the Cincinnati win on Dec. 12. Davis, who posted a 16-point, six-assist game vs. Western Kentucky on Dec. 5, had 14 points, six rebounds and three assists at Michigan on Nov. 20 and 12 points vs. USC on Nov. 27 and Dayton on Nov. 29. DAVIS EARNED WEEKLY HONORS AGAIN: Junior Myles Davis was named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Jan. 11 for a second time this season after leading Xavier with a season-high 19 points in the win at St. John s on Jan. 6, including 16 in the second half. In fact, Davis scored 16 of XU s final 26 points. He added four assists, three rebounds and a steal while hitting all nine of his free-throw attempts. Davis also earned the honor on Dec. 14 for his efforts in the wins over Wright State on Dec. 8 and No. 23 Cincinnati on Dec. 12. In addition, CollegeSportsMadness.com selected Davis as its BIG EAST Player of the Week on Dec. 12. He averaged 15.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists for two games, while shooting 62.5 percent from the field. FIVE MUSKETEERS HAVE EARNED BIG EAST WEEKLY HONORS THIS SEASON: Sophomore Trevon Bluiett was named the BIG EAST Conference Player of the Week on Jan. 18. In addition, Bluiett is one of four Musketeers who have been named at least once to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll: Bluiett (four times), junior Jalen Reynolds (twice), junior Myles Davis (twice) and senior Remy Abell (once) have each earned the honor at least once this season. In addition, freshman Edmond Sumner has been named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week three times. FARR IS DOUBLING UP: Senior James Farr posted his sixth double-figure rebound game of the season and 14th of his career with a career-high 19 rebounds at Marquette on Jan. 16. (Note: the last XU player to grab that many rebounds was Travis Taylor, who had 19 in a win over St. Louis on at Cintas Center). Farr completed the double-double at Marquette with 16 points (all 16 in the first half; two points shy of his career high), his third-double-double of the season and the fifth of his career. Farr also posted a double-double vs. Auburn on Dec. 19 with 11 rebounds and 12 points. Farr had a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds in the win over Missouri on Nov. 17. Farr, who has grabbed a teamhigh 8.8 rpg. (third in the BIG EAST Conference), collected a game-high 13 rebounds in the win at Michigan on Nov. 20. FARR BETTER ON OFFENSE... FARR BETTER SHOOTING: Senior James Farr, who had a career-high 18-point game vs. Western Kentucky on Dec. 5 and a teamhigh 15 points at Villanova on Dec. 31, is averaging 10.1 ppg. (fourth on the team). Farr is eighth in the BIG EAST in field goal percentage (.541), a sharp jump over his career average (.462) entering this season. Farr has only taken five 3-point field goal attempts this season or 3.7 percent of his field goal attempts compared with 35.5 percent of his field goal attempts being from behind the arc over his first three seasons combined. In addition, Farr is shooting 77.8 percent from the free-throw line, a big improvement over his career percentage (.500) entering this season. BIG EAST FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK HAS EARNED NATIONAL ATTENTION: Edmond Sumner was named BIG EAST Conference Freshman of the Week on Jan. 18 and for a third time this season. Sumner, playing his first game since an injury suffered in a fall at Villanova on Dec. 31, had 15 points, five assists and three rebounds in the Jan. 16 victory at Marquette. Sumner was also named BIG EAST Conference Freshman of the Week two straight weeks before his Dec. 31 injury: Sumner earned the BIG EAST award Dec. 28 after scoring a career-high and gamehigh 21 points in the win at Wake Forest on Dec. 22, while grabbing a career-high and game-high tying nine rebounds. He also added two assists and two steals. In addition to the BIG EAST award that week, Sumner was named Wayman Tisdale National Freshman of the Week for games ending the week of Dec. 27; selected by CBSSports.com s Matt Norlander, in partnership with the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. Sumner earned the BIG EAST honor Dec. 21 after scoring 13 points to go with five assists and a careerhigh six rebounds vs. Auburn on Dec. 19. SUMNER MAKING A POINT: Redshirt freshman Edmond Sumner started each of the first 13 games before suffering an injury less than three minutes into the game at Villanova on Dec. 31. Sumner returned to court for the game at Marquette on Jan. 16, coming off the bench to contribute 15 points, five assists and three rebounds in 25 minutes of action. Sumner posted career highs of 21 points and nine rebounds in Xavier s win at Wake Forest on Dec. 22. For the season, Sumner is second on the team and 25th in the BIG EAST Conference in scoring at 11.2 ppg. and is second on the team in assists at 3.3 apg. (11th in the BIG EAST), including his career-high six-assist game vs. Alabama on Nov. 26. Sumner, who returned to teh starting lineup on Tuesday vs. Georgetown, has 11 doublefigure scoring games this season, including 11 points, five assists and three steals to the win over Cincinnati on Dec. 12. Sumner led Xavier with 19 points in the Miami (Ohio) win on Nov. 13, contributed 14 points in the win over USC on Nov. 27 and led Xavier with 14 points vs. Dayton on Nov. 29. REYNOLDS DOUBLED HIS EFFORTS AT ST. JOHN S: Junior forward Jalen Reynolds grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds at St. John s on Jan. 6 and completed his second double-double of the season with 10 points. Reynolds is averaging 9.6 ppg. and 6.6 rpg. (third on the team and tied for 14th in the BIG EAST Conference). Reynolds, who had a seasonhigh 18-point game on 7-of-9 shooting vs. Auburn on Dec. 19, was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for a second time this season on Dec. 21. He also earned a

6 spot on the weekly BIG EAST Honor Roll for his 16-point and 15-rebound game vs. Miami on Nov. 13. MORE HONORS FOR REYNOLDS: Junior Jalen Reynolds was named preseason First Team All-BIG EAST and was named to the 2015 AdvoCare Invitational All-Tournament team earlier this season. Reynolds was listed as the No. 9 dunker in college basketball for the season by NBCSports.com (list by Rob Dauster). Last season he earned a spot on the 2015 All-BIG EAST Championship team. MORE THAN ABELL: Senior Remy Abell was named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Jan. 4. Abell averaged 13.5 points, 3.0 assists, 1.0 rebounds and 0.5 steals in XU s first two BIG EAST games (at Villanova on Dec. 31 and vs. Butler on Jan. 2), while shooting 9-of-12 (.750) from the field, including 4-of-5 (.800) from 3-point range. He led Xavier with a career-high 21 points on 7-of-8 shooting, including 3-of-3 from 3-point range, to go with four assists and a block in the Butler win on Jan. 2. Abell scored a team-high tying 15 points in the win at Michigan on Nov. 20, including a pair of clutch 3-pointers. Abell, who hit three big 3-pointers in the win over Cincinnati on Dec. 12, is averaging 6.7 ppg. for the season, including 11 points vs. Dayton on Nov. 29, in addition to his exceptional defensive contributions. MACURA PROVIDING A BOOST: Sophomore J.P. Macura is giving Xavier a lift at 8.6 ppg. in 20.6 minutes per game, including 13 points, four rebounds, two assists and three steals in the win over DePaul on Jan. 12. Macura, who had 12 points to go with five rebounds and two assists at Villanova on Dec. 31, averaged 5.4 ppg. as a freshman. Macura tied his career scoring high with 17 points in the Miami win on Nov. 13 and contributed 14 points to the win over Alabama on Nov. 26. AUSTIN JR. IS MAKING A POINT: Sophomore Larry Austin Jr. has logged 11.6 minutes per game over the first 18 games, mainly as the backup point guard. Austin Jr. made one start as a freshman. O MARA IS COMING ON STRONG: Sophomore Sean O Mara, who has played in each of the last 15 games, contributed nine points and three rebounds in the win over DePaul on Jan. 12. O Mara scored a career-high 10 points in the win over Auburn on Dec. 19, while tying his career high for rebounds with six. O Mara had big efforts in back-to-back games vs. Dayton on Nov. 29 and Western Kentucky on Dec. 5. O Mara grabbed a career-high six rebounds in the win over Western Kentucky on Dec. 5. O Mara scored a then career-high nine points and grabbed five rebounds in the Dayton win on Nov. 29. He played well down in Florida, averaging 6.0 ppg. and 2.7 rpg. in 9.3 minutes per game in XU s three games at the AdvoCare Invite Nov GATES HAS BEEN MAKING MAJOR CONTRIBUTIONS: Freshman Kaiser Gates contributed five points and a career-high tying six rebounds in a career-high 18 minutes of action in the win at Marquette on Jan. 16. Gates scored a career-high 11 points to go with four rebounds vs. DePaul on Jan. 12 in 16 minutes. Gates contributed 10 points to go with five rebounds in 12 minutes vs. Butler on Jan. 2, hitting 2-of-3 3-pointers and 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. LONDON MORE THAN AN ESPN TOP 10 PLAY: Freshman Makindé London s nolook pass and the dunk finish by sophomore Sean O Mara vs. USC on Nov. 27 made the No. 6 play on ESPN s Top 10 on Nov. 27. London, who has played in nine games, has been a contributor off the bench. London had six points, one rebound and one steal in 10 minutes vs. Alabama on Nov. 26 and followed that up with a career-high five rebounds in 11 minutes vs. USC on Nov. 27 and a careerhigh two assists in five minutes vs. Dayton on Nov. 29. XAVIER ROLLED PAST BUTLER IN BIG EAST HOME OPENER: Xavier recorded an win over then-no. 9 Butler on Jan. 2 at Cintas Center. A standing room only crowd of 10,498 (second-highest attendance in Cintas Center history) watched as senior Remy Abell scored 14 first-half points and Xavier rolled to a halftime lead. Butler chipped the lead down to three points, 55-52, with 12:29 left but XU responded with a 13-1 run to blow the game open at with 7:35 left. BU never got closer than 13 points the rest of the game. XAVIER FINISHED OFF A PERFECT NON- CONFERENCE SLATE AT WAKE FOREST: Xavier recorded a comeback win at Wake Forest in the Skip Prosser Classic on Dec. 22, giving XU a perfect 12-0 non-conference record. Xavier overcame a poor first half with a dominant second half. Wake Forest led by 18 points, 36-18, with 3:45 left in the first half and took a lead into halftime. Xavier used a 21-4 run, including a 10-0 run to start the second half, to grab a lead with 13:43 left. Xavier led with under four minutes left and used a 7-0 run to extend the lead to with 30 second remaining. Freshman Edmond Sumner led all scorers with a career-high 21 points to go with a career-high nine rebounds. XAVIER CONTINUED ITS SUCCESS VS. THE SEC WITH BLOWOUT WIN OVER AUBURN: Xavier defeated Auburn on Dec. 19 at Cintas Center. Junior Jalen Reynolds led Xavier with 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field, while senior James Farr contributed a doubledouble with 12 points and 11 rebounds, helping XU dominate the rebounding XU held a 15-8 offensive rebounding edge and a 24-2 advantage in secondchance points. Sophomore Sean O Mara scored a career-high 10 points to go with six rebounds in 14 minutes. XU is now 18-5 against nine different current SEC members since XAVIER RECORDED A CONVINCING WIN OVER CROSSTOWN RIVAL CINCIN- NATI: Xavier recorded a win over then-no. 23 Cincinnati on Dec. 12 in the annual Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout. Xavier dominated the first half and led at halftime. UC chipped the lead to five points, 52-47, with 10:27 left but six straight XU points got the lead back to double digits at with 9:11 remaining in the game. Junior Myles Davis led Xavier with 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range. Freshman Edmond Sumner contributed 11 points, five assists and three steals and had the highlight of the game on a dunk that was part of that 6-0 second-half run. XU has now won three straight over UC and seven of the last nine meetings between the two schools. ADVOCARE INVITATIONAL CHAMPIONS: Xavier blew out Dayton (90-61), Alabama (64-45) and USC (87-77) to capture the AdvoCare Invitational Championship Nov in Florida. In the championship game win over Dayton on Nov. 29, Xavier led with 18:33 left before using a 21-0 run that blew the game open at

7 68-39 with 12:10 left. In the semifinal win over USC on Nov. 27, XU used a 17-0 run and rolled to a halftime lead and held on in the second half. In the opening game win over Alabama on Nov. 26, Xavier overcame a cold-shooting first half where XU shot just 24.1 percent from the field, including 0-of-8 on its first eight field goal attempts of the game. Xavier used a 13-0 run to turn a lead into a lead with 13:25 left. A TOP 15 RECRUITING CLASS: Xavier head coach Chris Mack announced the signing of two talented four-star high school stars, Quentin Goodin, a 6-3 and 190-pound point guard, and Tyrique Jones, a 6-7 and 245-pound forward. Xavier s recruiting class is currently ranked No. 13 in the nation by ESPN. Goodin, a Scout. com four-star recruit who attends Taylor County High School in Campbellsville, Ky., is rated as the No. 71 senior by Rivals.com and No. 74 by Scout.com. He is ranked as the top player in the state of Kentucky. Goodin earned First Team All-State honors as a junior. Jones, an ESPN and Scout.com four-star recruit who attends Vermont Academy in Saxtons River, Vt., is ranked as the No. 21 power forward and the No. 89 player overall in the country by ESPN. As a senior last season at Vermont Academy, Jones earned Class AA All-NEPSAC Team honors and led Vermont Academy to the Class AA NEPSAC Finals. Jones is in his post-graduate year at Vermont Academy. Jones, who was voted First Team All- State as a junior, played three seasons at Bloomfield (Conn.) High before attending Vermont Academy. GRADUATION SUCCESS STORY: Xavier has graduated each of the last 96 men s basketball players that have played as seniors, including all three seniors from last year s team. 24 SEDLER FAMILY MEN S HEAD BASKETBALL COACH IS A NATIONAL COACH OF THE YEAR CANDIDATE Xavier head coach Chris Mack was selected by Sporting News as its midseason pick for National Coach of the Year. Mack, who has led Xavier to its best start in school history, has recorded a (.673) mark over his seven years so far and stands second on Xavier s all-time wins list. Mack, 46, led Xavier to the NCAA Tournament in five of his first six seasons at the helm, including the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 in 2010, 2012 and He is the only Xavier head coach that has led XU to three Sweet 16s. Personal Data On Born: Dec. 30, 1969 in Cleveland, Ohio Age: 46 College Alma Mater: Xavier 92 (B.A. in communication arts) Prep Alma Mater: St. Xavier HS 88 Wife: Christi Children: Lainee (10), Hailee (9) and Brayden (1) Mack is very familiar with postseason tournament play. COACHING SUCCESS STORY Mack, who was born December 30, 1969 in Cleveland, Ohio, is the 17th head coach in program history. Prior to being named Xavier s head coach on April 15, 2009, Mack spent five seasons as an assistant on Sean Miller s Xavier staff. Prior to that he was on the staff of the late Skip Prosser both at Xavier and at Wake Forest. LEARNED UNDER PROSSER AND MILLER Mack was XU s Director of Basketball Operations from under Prosser. Mack spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Wake Forest under Prosser from He returned to Xavier from as an assistant coach under Miller. During those 10 years on the Prosser and Miller staffs at Xavier and Wake, Mack coached on nine teams that made postseason play, including eight teams that made the NCAA Tournament. XAVIER PLAYER AND GRADUATE Mack, a 1992 Xavier University graduate with a degree in communication arts, was a two-time team captain as a player at Xavier under then-head coach Pete Gillen. He won an MCC Regular Season Championship at 12-2 and reached the second round of the 1993 NCAA Tournament. Mack was the Cincinnati Post Metro Player of the Year at St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati before going on to start for two seasons at Evansville under Jim Crews, winning an MCC Regular Season Championship and a trip to the second round of the 1989 NCAA Tournament as a UE freshman.
