The loss also snapped Purdue s 21-game homecourt winning streak, which had been the second longest in America. In fact, Purdue has lost same amount of games (3) on international land (Bahamas, Taipei in World University Games) that it has lost on American soil in the last 353 days (Kansas, Michigan, Ohio State). The Great Turnaround with Arizona In what was perhaps the most-unlikely seventh-place game in all creation and when the two teams worlds were falling apart (according to most), Purdue defeated then-no. 2 Arizona at the Battle 4 Atlantis to salvage a wasted trip. Since the day after Thanksgiving when the Boilermakers topped the Wildcats, the two teams are now a combined 35-3, with the three losses coming by a combined five points. If you throw out that Atlantis trip, the two teams are a combined 41-3 on American soil.
