A CSU win would give the Buccaneers their first outright Big South championship. Charleston Southern climbed to No. 8 in the FCS Coaches Poll this week, marking the Buccaneers first-ever Top 10 ranking. Meanwhile, Liberty will try to make CSU the first opposing team it has ever defeated 20 times on the gridiron. The Flames are 19-3 all-time against the Buccaneers. 2 - With a win on Saturday, CSU would join 2011 Stony Brook as the only two Big South teams ever to post a 6-0 league record. The Buccaneers will look to defeat Liberty in back-to-back seasons for the first time ever. CSU is also aiming for its second all-time home win over the Flames. Liberty is 9-1 in Charleston, including a current streak of four straight victories. Liberty safety Avery James and CSU wide receiver Colton Korn won two straight (2010 and 2011) South Carolina AAAA state titles as teammates at Byrnes High School. 3 - Only three teams (Troy, Citadel and Coastal Carolina) have scored 20 points against Charleston Southern this season.
