Head Coach: Larry Friend Conference: Mountain West 2016 Record: (0-0-0 MWC) RPI: N/A SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION Air Force The Falcons enter Tuesday s contest with a overall record, and have won two consecutive games, a pair of 2-0 road victories at Green Bay (Aug. 28) and Weber State (Sept. 11). Air Force had a two week break from competition before beating WSU on Sunday. The Falcons are 0-1 at home this season after a 2-0 loss to Colorado in the season-opener. Colorado is the only common opponent between UH and AF thus far, and each team lost by two scores to the Buffaloes. Bree Bezdek leads Air Force with two goals and four points on the season. Meredith Reisinger, Brooke Rittmann, Angela Karmanos and Ashley Greco each have one goal for the Falcons. Jennifer Hiddink and Alex Kahalley have split time in goal for Air Force, with each keeper playing two games in their entirety. Hiddink got the shutout against Weber State in the most recent game, and has a 0.90 goals-against average with an.800 save percentage. She is on the season after with a 2-2 tie against Northern Colorado in her only other action this season. 2 HISTORICAL START AT STAKE VS AIR FORCE -- With a record, the Rainbow Wahine have their second-best eight-match start in program history, as the 1998 team was 7-1 through eight games. A win against Air Force on Sept. 13 would move Hawai i to and would be the best nine-game start in program histroy, as the 1998 team was 7-2 through nine games. CONSECUTIVE GAMES WITH A GOAL -- After being shutout in the 2015 season finale, Hawai i has scored at least one goal in every match this season, bringing its streak to eight consecutive matches with a goal. The longest such streak in program history is 10 matches, from Oct. 7-Nov. 16, BERGER BREAKS SHUTOUT RECORD -- goalkeeper Monk Berger broke Hawai i s career shutouts record with her 13th career shutout on Sept. 11 at Denver. It was Bergers fourth shutout in a five game span in CAREER-HIGH SAVES FOR MONK -- Two days before breaking the program record for career shutouts, Monk Berger set her own personal bests for saves in a match, coming up with 10 at Colorado on Sept. 9. That mark broke her previous high of nine which she set in the 2016 season-opener against Oregon. SAVING THE BEST FOR LAST -- Hawai i has scored 12 goals this season, and 10 of them have come in the second half or overtime. The Rainbow Wahine scored first-half goals in their first two games of the season against Oregon and Nevada, and have done all of their scoring after halftime since then. OT UNBEATEN STREAK -- Hawai i extended its overtime unbeaten streak to 10 matches with two overtime wins in the second part of the Outrigger Soccer Classic Series on Aug. 25 and Aug. 27. The Bows have not lost an overtime game since Oct. 13, 2013 against Cal Poly. Since then, Hawai i is in overtime ATTENDANCE TOP TEN -- The 1,708 fans who packed Waipi o Peninsila Soccer Stadium for Hawai i s 2016 season-opener against Oregon was the 10th largest crowd in program history. TOP TEN ATTENDANCE RANKING -- Hawai i ranks 30th in the nation in average home attendance, drawing an average of 937 fans per game to Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium. BIG WEST AND TOURNAMENT HONORS -- goalkeeper Monk Berger earned Outrigger Soccer Classic Series #3 MVP and Big West Defensive Player of the Week honors after shutting out Idaho and Saint Mary s on consecutive days as Hawai i took 2-0 and 1-0 wins to claim the championship of the Outrigger Soccer Classic Series #3. 3 SERIES #2 MVP HONORS -- It was senior Storm Kenui who earned Outrigger Soccer Classic Series #2 MVP honors as the Rainbow Wahine went 2-0 to win the tournament outright. Kenui scored the game-winner in double-overtime against Sacramento State, then anchored a back line that earned a shutout victory over Idaho State two days later. SERIES #1 MVP HONORS -- Sonest Furtado earned Outrigger Soccer Classic Series #1 MVP honors after scoring the equalizer in Hawai i s 1-1 draw with Oregon and drawing the PK that put the Rainbow Wahine ahead early in a 2-1 win over Nevada. When she beat Nevada keeper Kelsey Quintos in the 87th minute, it was not only the game-winner that clinched the Outrigger Soccer Classic Series #1 co-championshp, it was also her 20th career collegiate goal.
