Cost will be $6.50 per person. Tickets will be limited so get yours early. We have a great meal which will be: Cheese Stuffed Manicotti with Meat Sauce, Spring Salad with Italian Dressing, Fresh Garlic Sticks, Swirled Flavored Sherbet Cups, Coffee and Iced Tea. Aladdin Villas Choir, Men of Accord Quartet, Sharyland H.S. Jr. ROTC Honor Guard, the 11th Hour Ceremony, the RGV Regional D.A.V. Commander as our Key Note Speaker, and our own Judy Alexander who will be unveiling a new song... My Name is America We will also pay tribute to our Korean & Viet Nam Vets. Don t miss this one!!! WISHLIST Working with the Board, we are in the process of making a WISH LIST. What is a Wish List? The Wish List will be the needs and wants of the community. It can be anything you think needs to be done (examples: a piece of equipment, supplies, building additions, etc.) For example: if you see something you would like donepainting, cupboards, new signs, furniture, the list goes on and on. It s not in the budget so the Board can t OK it. With the Boards approval, it will be published as a Wish List. The item and price, if you have one, will be listed. The list will go in the News & Views and on the bulletin boards. Here is the good part, if you see the list and think, I ve been blessed and enjoy or have enjoyed Aladdin Villas, you can pay for a project or part of a project. If you have been here many years and think back to all the good times you ve had and the many friends you made or if you re new and have the physical ability or financial ability to help out, let s jump in and make Aladdin Villas the envy of the Valley. Let s create a waiting list to get into Aladdin Villas! For a single (or larger) donation you could be honored by name, or you can remain anonymous if you wish. All gifts will become lifetime property of Aladdin Villas. This is just the beginning of a never ending project, hopefully. This is in the planning stages, many questions still need to be answered. If you think this sounds like a good (or bad) idea, let a Board member know. GRANNY S CLOSET Our new chairperson is Madeline Acker LADIES BRIDGE MARATHON The ladies bridge marathon starts in November. Signup sheets are in each hall or call Dorothy Case at or Cindy Michaels at or Dorothy at dotzigzag@sbcglobal.net. All games at your convenience any level and wherever you choose. Our group would love to see some new faces. Please come and join us. Harold took Betty out to dance over the weekend. There was a guy on the dance floor living it up - break dancing, moonwalking, back flips, the works! Betty turned to Harold and said, See that guy? Twenty-five years ago he proposed to me and I turned him down. Harold replied, Well, it looks like he s still celebrating! BIBLE SERVICES Beginning December 2 in the Ballroom. Coffee fellowship from 8:45 to 9:15 am. The service will include singing of hymns, prayer and scripture as used in Catholic/Protestant churches everywhere. No monies will be collected. Service will last approximately 30 minutes. This is a trial period until December 23. If there is interest to continue, extentions will be considered.
