Everyone can join in greeting the yule log with toasts and Christmas Carols. Guests will have a chance to take home a piece of the log for their own holiday fire. Throughout the day, guests of all ages can join in parlor games, make ornaments, and create pomanders. Father Christmas will be available for visits and photos. The beautifully signed Elger Bay Nature Trail with a side trip to the beaver marsh platform highlight the walk. The walk is a 2.3 mile round trip and completed by noon. The pace is moderate and the walks take place rain or shine. Walks are cancelled if there is snow or extremely high winds. Walkers are asked to wear clothing appropriate for weather conditions including sturdy shoes or boots. Santa & Mrs. Claus will be there handing out candy canes to the kiddos and the Capital High School Choir will be singing Christmas carols prior to the start of the parade.
