1 Ingersoll District Curling Club 2018/2019 Season Introduction Package More details available on our NEW website. President s Message Whether you are a returning member or thinking about taking up curling for the first time, I d like to welcome you, on behalf of the board of directors, to the curling season at the Ingersoll District Curling Club. We hope that this package provides you with much of the information you need to participate and enjoy the many curling and social opportunities available in the coming season. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our membership director, Todd Ross, or any of the club directors. I would like to thank the membership for allowing me to represent the club as your President. As a Past President of many other board of directors I bring experience to the board and really looking forward to this year. Your Board of Directors has been busy this summer planning. You ll notice a couple positive changes as we enter this season, including the brand new rocks on all four sheets which was made possible by funds raised by the club by hosting the 2015 Ontario Tankard. The second and most significant change is our online registration system, which is also going to be our new website and have many other functions. There will be more on this in the package. Our membership fees offset a significant portion of our operating costs. These costs are increasing slightly therefore our fees must also increase. Your board has done a great job with establishing the budget to keep the costs down as much as we can. This years Board of Directors main focus is to increase our membership with retention and increasing new members. With the new Board position of Clinic Director, we hope all the current members will take advantage of the hosted clinics and with a Learn to Curl program we are hoping to gain new members. This is your club, and we hope that you will get involved and have fun. See you on the ice! Sincerely, Brent Stefan, President IDCC
