1 CITY REVIEW Mens Central League 8th May Upper Hutt City FC vs Tawa Womens Central League 9th May Upper Hutt City FC vs Lower Hutt City
2 A word from Upper Hutt City Hi all and welcome to Maidstone Park. Firstly I would like to welcome Daniel Wood and his Tawa team to our new home ground. Last week we lost our Chatham Cup game against Miramar and it was very tough to see them scoring from a corner in the last few minutes of the game. I thought that we deserved a bit better result but in Football is not about deserving things, it is about putting the ball in the back of the net because goals win games. Now that we are out of the cup we need to focus % on the league and as I have mentioned, before, we know what we have to do to stay Central League. Both teams know how important it is to pick up the points tonight and I'm sure that coaches and players will be doing everything to win the game. Enjoy the game Pedro

Our relationship with the Rimutaka Trust for the past seasons has been absolutely fantastic and a we are very grateful for the support we receive. 8 A Word from Our Womens Coach Welcome everyone to Maidstone Park today as we look forward to the first of the local derby s against Lower Hutt City and the early curtain raiser of our Upper Hutt Car Sales Women s nd team against Stop Out. Both Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt are coming off back to back losses and are sitting bottom and second to bottom on the current points standings. A win today for the Upper Hutt Car Sales Women s st team will not only give them their first points of the season but will finally kick start what has been a frustrating start to Women s Central League. Upper Hutt Car Sales Women s First team has been successful in bringing in some more experienced players to help the youth and new players to the club out. It has been a season of rebuilding but we believe with the improved performances to date today will be the day that all the hard work pays off and can truly kick start our season off. We would like to thank the continued support of our major sponsors, Upper Hutt Car Sales, Parapine, Lifestyle Gym and Subway for the After match catering. Upper Hutt would like to wish both teams today all the very best. Mike Gibbs Womens Coach FRIENDS OF UPPER HUTT CITY FOOTBALL IS COMING.

Mike King tickets at $ are vanishing fast so don t miss out see Phil or Noddy. The Saints, and RJs top their respective leagues this week. The Capital Women s Two match on Sunday 9th, Maidstone Turf, : am is a top of the table clash between Upper Hutt Car Sales City (nd) and Porirua City (st). Last week, our Upper Hutt City Car Sales Central League team lost a very even Chatham Cup clash against second-in-the-central-league Miramar Rangers -. Perennial heavyweights, Miramar scored within two minutes of the kick-off while Upper Hutt were still waking up. Shortly after half-time Luis Corrales scored a trademark lightning strike and extra time loomed until a couple of minutes from the end when Miramar scored a far post header from a corner. Once again, Chris Campbell just oozed class and was deservedly named man of the match. This year s Chatham Cup run is over and we can concentrate on the league. In the Central League, we have slipped to sixth-equal on points but eighth on goal difference. I am told we have a couple of imports in the pipeline and I note Parker Maher s (Missouri State University) international clearance is already through. From the internet profile, he is an attacking midfielder. Today s opponents at Maidstone : are Tawa, just below us in ninth place, but three points behind. Their results have been (ours v the same team); Wairarapa - (-), Miramar - (-), Olympic - (-9), Petone - (-), Napier -. Tawa s scorers have been Jamie Sharp, Connor Dunne and Scott Cameron.
12 Harcourt Hooligan Our Upper Hutt City Car Sales seconds missed out on a game last week as Capital Two was postponed. They remain sixth on the table with six points, having scored and conceded. Today they play Naenae, a place and two points ahead on the table, away. In Capital Four, our Upper Hutt City Car Sales thirds drew - (Callum Barlow Groome). Thus left them in ninth place on the table with three points. Today, they play Wellington United Arms, second in the league with twelve points, on the Maidstone turf at :. Our chairman and the Turf Trust s chairman, Pete Thomas is the man to watch with of our Thirds 9 goals so far. The Upper Hutt City Saints in Capital Eight are four points clear at the top-of-the-table, still unbeaten after a - win (Rob Fleetham, Neville Philp, Aaron Hayne) over bottom-placed Meke last week. They have scored but conceded. This week they take on second-bottom Marist Cobras away. In Capital Eleven, both Upper Hutt City teams lost. The Marauders, now fourth equal on the table, lost - (Brett Faint, Brook Wate) to Wellington United Terrace (th), while Defence succumbed - (Ollie Smith, Mark Brian) to Wellington United Honey Badgers (=) to finish eighth. This week, Defence host the Marauders at Davis Field at :. Creeps lost - (Jeremy Collins, Brad Stroebner) to Stop Out Werewolves to drop from first to fourth in Capital Fourteen, while the Werewolves take over at the top on goals scored. This week, the Creeps are away to Brooklyn United Purr (8th) at the dreaded Happy Valley. The Capital Fifteen Slayers claim to be the worst football team in Wellington football has been blown sky high after their second win in a fortnight. Last week, a Barrie MacDonald hattrick saw them beat Wests - but drop to seventh position. Today on the Maidstone Turf at : pm, they play Victoria University Sonic Boom just one place and two points behind them. In Masters, the RJs beat Wainuiomata Pacifica - (Chris Jones, Tristan Elder, Brendon Clent (Homer)) to return to the top (equal) of the table although Stokes Valley Snakes lurk a point behind with a game in hand. Today, the RJs are away to second-bottom-of-the-table Brooklyn Northern United Pints.
13 Harcourt Hooligan Our Central Women s League team were hammered - by Waterside Karori last week at Maidstone. Tomorrow, again at Maidstone : pm, they play Lower Hutt City and will hope they can start picking up some points. Lower Hutt are only one place and four points ahead of us on the table but they have scored seven to our three and shipped against our. Lower Hutt s goals have been spread around with Rebecca Jeffries having scored and Ashleigh Mason, Brogan Mathieson, Kelly Black, Kennedy Bryant and Renee Bacon chipping in one each Our Capital Women s Two team (nd on the table) drew - (Amanda Hewitt) with Wainuiomata (rd) last week and remains in second place. Maidstone am Sunday sees a top-of-the-table clash with new leaders Porirua City. Our Under-Bs lost - (Alex Keown, Callum Martin, Jack Baillie) to bottom-of-the-table Kapiti Coast United to fall from unbeaten-top to third on the table. Today they take on Eastbourne, who have taken over at the top, away. Eastbourne have scored goals compared with our and conceded compared to our. Some football wisdom from one of the great Managers Brian Clough judging by the second-last one, he knows Big Pete I wouldn t say I m the best manager but I m in the top one They say Rome wasn t built in a day, but I wasn t on that particular job If I had an argument with a player we would sit down for twenty minutes, talk about it and then decide I was right! The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 8 years Walk on water? I know most people out there will be saying that instead of walking on it, I should have taken more of it with my drinks. They are absolutely right Football hooligans well, there are 9 club chairmen for a start I can t even spell spaghetti never mind talk Italian. How could I tell an Italian to get the ball? He might grab mine. Harcourt Hooligan
