Hurricane Matthew Status of Operations 11:00 AM October 26, 2016 Statewide Summary SCDOT is working to repair infrastructure damaged by Hurricane Matthew.

Damage assessment teams continue to review infrastructure damage and prepare estimates and quantities necessary to perform repairs using in-house and contractor forces.

1 Hurricane Matthew Status of Operations 11:00 AM October 26, 2016 Statewide Summary SCDOT is working to repair infrastructure damaged by Hurricane Matthew. In addition to infrastructure repair, SCDOT is also leading a significant effort to remove storm related debris. Damage assessment teams continue to review infrastructure damage and prepare estimates and quantities necessary to perform repairs using in-house and contractor forces. SCDOT bridge inspectors are also working to assess support structures for damage, and other conditions such as scour. Emergency Repair Contracts - 10 Highway/Bridge contractors have been engaged to assist with 35 different emergency/spot repairs in six counties. All are South Carolina firms. One firm is a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise. Included below is summary information regarding closures and debris accomplishments. Detailed reports are also attached. 43 / 8 / Bridge Closures Due to Matthew - as of the time of this report.
