Good Turnout at Hartwood Despite Showers The tailgaters and picnic baskets were out in full force on Sunday, Sept. 30 for JCOP s last car event of the season, the popular British Cars at Hartwood. Even some scattered showers didn t stop a nice crowd from bringing out their British Beauties for a day at Hartwood Acres. Thanks to Jack & Pat Terrick for organizing the annual event - and thanks to all the members who turned out to help park cars and count ballots. More photos in next month s Jargon. Seeing Red! This is JCO s year to celebrate 40 years, so Bryan & Candy Williams and Gary Kincel traveled to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Sept. 29 to deliver congratulations on behalf of the officers, board and membership of the Pittsburgh club. The restaurant is conveniently located at the base of Greentree Road accessible via the Parkway West Greentree or Banksville Road/Mt. Lebanon Exits (both via the Fort Pitt Tunnels - South). Specific directions are available on the restaurant s web site. Menu At the time of seating in DeBlasio s comfortable banquet room, club diners may choose among three entrees: Chicken DeBlasio (a delicious chicken lightly cooked with ham, mushrooms and a touch of cheese) Boston Scrod English Style Pasta with Tomato or Marinara Sauce Included will be special appetizers of Fried Zucchini and Stuffed Mushroom Caps, tossed salad, plus a side choice of pasta, vegetable or potato capped off with a dessert of Spumoni, cake or a house specialty Pecan Ball (my favorite).
